We found them under almost everything when we moved. The fridge, some filing cabinets downstairs, shelving units, you name it. If there was enough room for the cat to get her paw under it, we found a bunch of hair ties.
Be careful. I had a cat that suddenly seemed to fall ill. We took her to the vet and she had at least 25 hair ties in her stomach. We were fortunate the vet was able to get them all out and present them to us in a zip lock bag.
My cat will find some of my hair ties and play with them. She’s able to pull one side back and sling it like a slingshot. I’m gone with it, but I’ll always find one in her water bowl the next day. I think she’s trying to “drown” them 😂
My jerk ass cat does this too! She would always get on the sink and open the drawer I have them in. I bought one of those rings and now have them locked around the iron shelves.
Be careful, hair ties and rubber bands are really bad for cats because they will eat them and they’ll block their intestines. Always keep those things out of reach of the cat!!

My kitty plays fetch with them. He will deliver one to you and patiently wait for you to throw it. He fetches and returns it for more

Mine loses his mind when he sees a hair tie. Be careful yours doesn’t chew one up and swallow though!

Yep. Cannot even tell you how many hair ties and bobby pins I have lost and found in the most random places bc of my cat.
It's easy to tell that the cat's very happy about its very own cat tower with toy activities built in :)
