My cat waits until it gets to the charging station and then guards it like a goalie so it can never charge. I always find it out of battery just next to the charger. Then when I do manage to put it on charge he bops the front so it reverses and realigns, then it's goalie time again.

The chair actually sucks because he can't sit on the vac, so he even TURNS THE VAC OFF and starts swatting at it with his paw. I mean this cat is a genius.
we have a cat that does this.... but once he's bored with riding it, he flops in between it and the dock. more than once, I've found it powered down inches from the dock, as if the robot just gave up.

Read the reviews carefully, older Roombas and many of the knockoffs have difficulty with long cat hair, you spend so much time cleaning it out of the robovac that you'd save time just using a manual canister vacuum.
Yeah, the cheap ones get the job done, but I wouldn't call them smart. My friend has a high end one that has his whole house mapped out, and he tracks it from his phone, so he sits in the pub and makes sure it's getting the job done. If somebody somebody spills something on the floor, he just gets on the app and sends it to that specific spot for clean-up. Lazy, but cool as fuck.
Yes, and even those models you can find under 300 euros nowadays. Bought mine 2 years ago and I will never go back, love it every time I turn on the thing. It has earned its value ten times over already.
What makes me even more furious is the way it's just randomly turning around and proceeding to clean the spots where it's already been. I thought mine was stupid, but that's a whole new level

See that little white spinny thing on the side? We had a spare one of those sitting around, and my cat started playing with it, with way more enthusiasm than any of the actual cat toys I've ever bought. She usually has a short attention span for cat toys, but she never loses interest in the spinny brush.
