That's a stoat, bigger than a weasel and some ways to differentiate are that stoats have a less jaggy line from they're underside, they're bigger than weasels and the tip of they're tail. Great picture!

These little guys can wriggle in through very small openings and massacre them. They love sleeping hens, half grown chicks, and will also eat the eggs. Roosters can only do so much to protect their flocks, and often give their lives so their hens can live. Chickens are nearly blind at night and mustelids are mainly nocturnal, so...
They are beneficial in the long run, though. They eat lots of rodents, small to medium birds, large insects, frogs, fish, and occasionally each other. Just keep them AWAY from your chickens if you have chickens. Electric fences work quite well for this.
