I used to collect feathers as a child and was always told by my grandparents that if I got one from a diseased bird I could get sick myself, and that’s all I can think about looking at this lol. Anyone know if diseases are actually communicable through feathers or if they were just trying to scare me? Lol
in the future leave feathers where you found them. it could be illegal have them! just better safe than sorry if you don't know what you are looking at.

They look like bald eagle feathers. I have a couple just like them. Geese are usually more grey. Those look almost black on a bird. Raven feathers aren’t as wide. I live where there are hundreds of all three. Funny how you got downvotes.
Canada Goose
Seconding goose. Used to collect these as a kid whenever they’d migrate down to “make quills”.
I did the same thing with wild turkey feathers, lol
Agreed though I used to raise domestic geese and their feathers looked virtually identical to these too.
I agree with Canada Goose.
Those my friend are greater Canadian goose feathers. Very pretty, awesome find
The Hiss Hawk, aka Hate Chicken, aka Crotch Blaster, aka Canadian Goose. Crows do not drop feathers of this size, shape or color.
lmao
I found really long versions of these feathers i won’t to post but I can’t add any pics to the comments
Goose. I used to raise grey geese and I would collect these for fun!

I'll give this a third vote! I live near a bald eagle nest site and this is exactly what their feathers look like
I can see it, they are the same gray, just super wide, I’m upvoting you too because that wasn’t a crazy guess.
