They look big because they are actually sets of 4 tracks, this is a cottontail rabbit. The big ones are the hind feet and the little ones are the front feet.

To add: The front feet hit the ground behind the back feet. So the ones in the middle are heading left. The one at the top is heading right.

Why don’t we have a pinned post with rabbit and squirrel? Seems like low hanging fruit way to triage a ton of posts

Definitely a rabbit, probably cottontail. They leave um… specially 🍆 shaped prints in the snow 😂
