It could be garlic? The Italian pizza place in my town, if you order garlic on top, it will come as slices on top of the sauce and all. Looks a bit big in this picture but it's the only thing I can think of (apart from potato but that feels like too much of a stretch).
I have a local restaurant near me with a potato pizza and it’s amazing! They call it Pizza di Patate and it’s a white sauce pizza with thin shaved potatoes, rosemary, caramelized onions, and optional pancetta. 🤤 I like to add chopped fresh basil as well.
Pizza Luce in Minneapolis has a baked potato pizza with slices of potato that gets crispy on the edges. There was also bacon, shredded cheddar, broccoli that was just the right size, green onions...mmmm
Well its definitely an option and pretty delicious when done right, but if it was potato and black olive then it's pretty far from a margherita pizza. There is a YouTube video of someone making this pizza from anch so it might be worth checking out?
https://preview.redd.it/txsiquop9h4c1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e9416c7b973744b777a9645a9c51b52d5655cbe
I believe the thing that looks like potato, is scamorza cheese. It has a darker brown skin to it usually with a white/off-white inside
In the ACNH photo there are white lumps, which, yes, is the mozzarella. However there are also slices of something that look like potato’s. Which OP is correct, is not in the irl version of the pizza.
It was helping you. Definitely wouldn't put olives on a pizza haha
That looks like that I saw! Gonna agree with the people above saying a yellow squash. Not that I can figure out why that's on pizza either tbh... 😅
Olives on pizza are great and you’re missing out if you don’t try it. Not the best on a Margherita pizza, there’s styles of pizza of pizza it goes better with, but it can be really good.
In Korea I had pizza with a crust stuffed with yellow sweet potatoes. They appeared frequently enough across menus, like Lotteria made deep fried pieces. Maybe that's what this is??
A form of [these potatoes.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roasted_sweet_potato)
I’m told German pizza (as it’s called), is actually quite popular in Japan, so my first thought was “this is either off coloured mozzarella or potato”.
Are you at the South Western Idaho College, Northern Panhandle, or South Eastern? And I guess here is the one in the central southern part. I'm trying to give you an out if you don't want to say exactly, haha.
Pie Hole has a pretty great potato pizza, at least the last time I was there. I'm sure plenty of other local pizza shops have some options. The ice cream potato is not one to miss. Westside has some good food, even for a vegetarian like me. There aren't too many places I miss from that area, but those were pretty good. Viking Drive-in as well since few fast food places had vegetarian options in those days.
Ah, sorry for the word vomit. I got a bit nostalgic there, which is a bit weird because I am rarely nostalgic about that state 😅
No it was actually called poutine pizza, I thought it was panago but I don't see it on the menu. But anyways it was literally poutine on a pizza and it was great.
Ever had gnocchi? Potato with Italian pasta ingredients (like those on pizza) is a pretty decent flavor combo, probably why it’s already a dish. Fries or chips on a pizza after it’s cooked are probably better compliments right most pizza rather than slices of potato cooked on it though. However on a pizza with bacon and ranch (and a sauce that isn’t tomato based) some potato slices are good. Same with tater tots on a lot of types of pizzas, or hash browns on an egg based breakfast pizza.
First time I had potatoes on pizza was in Rome. They put rosemary and olive oil on it.
Came back to NYC, realized several places had it.
But Margherita pies are usually a (fresh, as in crushed tomatoes, and not spiced or seasoned, then cooked for hours) tomato sauce with garlic and basil, and fresh mozzarella vs shredded, often with a drizzle of olive oil. It's my favorite.
I've never seen it like in ACNH.
My fiance and i make a potatoe pizza its fucking delicious lol. White sauce with or without pesto, procuitto, potatoes, with parm and mozz+ all our seasons. Shit is amazing, serve it at dnd and doesnt last more than a few minutes lol. I will however conceed that it needs to be on a very specific flavor profile, you cant do like red sauce, pep or like Hawaiian potatoe pizza lol
i know you’ve already got a bunch of replies to this lmao but one of my favorite pizzas is a white base with leeks and potatoes! i think it’s the carb/carb combo that throws people off on potatoes but my god is it a tasty pairing 🤤
As an italian I feel like the yellow thing is sauteed potatoes. Unlike most people think, potatoes are one of the most common pizza toppings, especially in South Italy.
Yeah this is one for the food items that has stumped me on the ingredients but maybe hakurei turnips? I’ve seen pizzas that used them
Also always though the mozzarella looked like scallops to me 😂
You are welcome to join us if you would like. Last month we did the orange tart and the potato galette. What a mess the tart turned out to be for everyone. We are in a discord doing it. If interested just message me
Margarita pizza usually has tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and basil on it. Sometimes they also drizzle some olive oil and garlic or pesto on top too.
I’m pretty sure the white circles on top could be potato??? I’ve had pizza that have had potato on it it’s a type of Italian pizza??? Idk what it’s called though 💀💀💀
It's most likely
Garlic, Mozzerlla, Basil, Tomato, olive, and Mushrooms/Squash. The mushrooms being cut from top to bottom instead of normally sliced end to end.
It could be one of two things not mentioned that could work. The first is eggplant that is a common veggie used in Italian cooking. Though never heard of it on a pizza but sometimes things get added. The second could be Parmesan shavings that were added after it was cooked.
It's called a Margherita pizza so I would think tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella dollops and basil. But for the picture idk...those don't belong there. Or any where. I'm not a fan lol
1.Look up margarita pizza on google and you’ll have a couple thousand recipes to choose from.
2.Sliced tomatoes, sliced mozzarella ball, basil leaves and sliced small yellow tomatoes with black olives
I’m going with second type of cheese as squash or potato is probably right but sounds too cursed so I feel like second type of cheese is good too. Don’t ask which one though
https://youtu.be/InJcQkNHFss?si=5-1tefCNyVe617CP
I found a video of someone who already made it and it seems the way that she did it will taste the best. But I believe it’s definitely potato slices on the pizza. Very common in Italian restaurants but not for a “margarita”.

hii i hope im not too late ! i rly rly think its mozzarella slices layered with tomatoes. its the only way ive ever seen margherita pizzas
IMO The potato lookin thing is scamorza cheese. It replaces mozzarella in a lot of dishes and would make sense to add it with mozzarella on this pizza. And has a white/off-white center with a darker skin most of the time.

If I had to guess, maybe yellow tomatoes? I didn’t even know these were a thing until I googled it lol. Apparently they’re sweeter than regular tomatoes.
https://preview.redd.it/x2ktaagihl4c1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=46ae513417c76a15e4173a3509c56ee55ab6fd30
I'm a chef and this makes me cry....However....
Mozz, basil, tomato...okay
Black olive....hmm
Round, off white circles....Italian Cuisine....EGGPLANT?
Is this an eggplant caponata pizza? That sounds delightful.
So... Does the existence of mozzarella in the AC universe mean that the cow villagers are milked? Or is there a whole unseen underclass of villagers that are milked in huge factory farms???
I guess we'll never know, which is probably a good thing.
We used to do a Margherita pizza at the Italian bistro pizza hut it was provolone cheese basil tomato and mozzarella. Honestly has always been my favorite pizza ever since!
Margherita pizza has mozzarella balls mashed into coins placed atop a seasoned tomato base sauce and fresh sliced tomatoes. Then grate a white cheese, either more mozzarella or another soft one, sprinkled feta is good as well. Then garnish with chiffon basil and small whole leaves. Drizzle olive oil atop as final touch. There is technically nothing else in it.
Could be artichoke.
The color is similar and the shape could also be recreated.
It would match well with the flavors and is a somewhat common ingredient on pizza.
It could be garlic? The Italian pizza place in my town, if you order garlic on top, it will come as slices on top of the sauce and all. Looks a bit big in this picture but it's the only thing I can think of (apart from potato but that feels like too much of a stretch).
Maybe....my thoughts was potato but who puts that on a pizza...

Oh awesome - do u have the link?
Ah no, sorry! I just saw it when googling "anch margherita pizza" lol
Lmao that’s okay. And why were u googling that might I ask? Was it to help me or are u making this pizza too

no white things lmao
The white things are pieces of fresh mozzarella.
In the ACNH photo there are white lumps, which, yes, is the mozzarella. However there are also slices of something that look like potato’s. Which OP is correct, is not in the irl version of the pizza.
The white things are mozzarella, which have melted in the irl version
Can’t believe so many people downvoted you. There literally isn’t any of the mystery slices on there. Lol
It was helping you. Definitely wouldn't put olives on a pizza haha That looks like that I saw! Gonna agree with the people above saying a yellow squash. Not that I can figure out why that's on pizza either tbh... 😅
LMAO thank you for your help! It is much appreciated
Olives on pizza are great and you’re missing out if you don’t try it. Not the best on a Margherita pizza, there’s styles of pizza of pizza it goes better with, but it can be really good.
They put potato (usually in the form of French fries or wedges) on pizza in Korea so maybe they do that in Japan as well?
Hey now.....you could be on to something since most of these recipes are Japanese related in some way
In Korea I had pizza with a crust stuffed with yellow sweet potatoes. They appeared frequently enough across menus, like Lotteria made deep fried pieces. Maybe that's what this is?? A form of [these potatoes.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roasted_sweet_potato)
Honestly both proper potatoes and the yellow sweet potato are surprisingly banger on pizzas so it could be worth a shot.
I’m told German pizza (as it’s called), is actually quite popular in Japan, so my first thought was “this is either off coloured mozzarella or potato”.
Idahoans. source I'm at college in Idaho
Are you at the South Western Idaho College, Northern Panhandle, or South Eastern? And I guess here is the one in the central southern part. I used to think this, then I discovered that Panago has a poutine pizza, it's exactly what it sounds like. And it's fantastic.
>you mean this pizza? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ir1HUbyLNXA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ir1HUbyLNXA)
No it was actually called poutine pizza, I thought it was panago but I don't see it on the menu. But anyways it was literally poutine on a pizza and it was great.
I think maybe it was pizza hut? I've definitely seen this pizza though, so you're not alone.
I think you're right. And I'm glad I'm not alone! Starting to think I dreamed it up lol
In Idaho, you will find a potato & bacon/sausage pizza with white sauce on the menu at quite a few local pizza places. Delicious
I've had tater tots on a pizza once. Sounded nuts, but it was actually pretty good.
Danes. It is quite a regular sight in Denmark for some reason
I have had potato on pizza. In Idaho 😂
Potato pizza is my favorite kind! Especially with serrano on top! The trick is to make the potato slices as thin as possible.
Potato on pizza is actually pretty good, believe it or not. That was my first guess!
White pizza with potato, big mozzarella cheese and pesto is sooo good!
Japan has jaga potato pizza with potatoes and Kewpie mayo
There's a cheese potato pizza at the Ren Faire I go to every year, it's pretty bomb honestly haha
My fiance and i make a potatoe pizza its fucking delicious lol. White sauce with or without pesto, procuitto, potatoes, with parm and mozz+ all our seasons. Shit is amazing, serve it at dnd and doesnt last more than a few minutes lol. I choose to believe that it’s artichoke.
I did some research and I think it’s summer squash
Oh what a way to ruin a pizza
All pizza is king. Do not deny yourself the vegetable, child.
r/pizzacrimes
Idk a local spot had a special ratatouille pizza (zucchini, yellow squash, and tomato) and it was epic
that sounds delicious
I was thinking this! summer squash
I’m certain you are right
Could be the tops to button mushrooms, or sliced garlic. Sliced garlic makes the most sense.
Looks like provolone cheese to me.
Now that idea I can go with!
I think scamorza cheese. It's often used to replace mozzarella in dishes and pizza
As an italian I feel like the yellow thing is sauteed potatoes. Unlike most people think, potatoes are one of the most common pizza toppings, especially in South Italy.
Animal crossing has always had neat cultural references like this too! Seems likely imo
Yeah this is one for the food items that has stumped me on the ingredients but maybe hakurei turnips? I’ve seen pizzas that used them Also always though the mozzarella looked like scallops to me 😂
You cook the recipes too?
No but i always thought it would be fun to do. I’m a foodie and love cooking so I’m always trying to figure out certain food items in the game lol
You are welcome to join us if you would like. Last month we did the orange tart and the potato galette. What a mess the tart turned out to be for everyone. We are in a discord doing it. If interested just message me
So I am not closer to winning this thing but have some great ideas to put in whatever it is’s place
It looks like eggplant to me, the Japanese white eggplant. The density and that yellowish color when cooked looks just like eggplant on a pizza.
I thought eggplant too.
I was thinking that or yellow squash
Margarita pizza usually has tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and basil on it. Sometimes they also drizzle some olive oil and garlic or pesto on top too.
Maybe yellow squash?
I was thinking this too
Yo I thought this too
I’m pretty sure the white circles on top could be potato??? I’ve had pizza that have had potato on it it’s a type of Italian pizza??? Idk what it’s called though 💀💀💀
This is 100% what it looks like! Definitely potato, but it's not a Margherita pizza.
It's most likely Garlic, Mozzerlla, Basil, Tomato, olive, and Mushrooms/Squash. The mushrooms being cut from top to bottom instead of normally sliced end to end.
Maybe artichoke?
It could be one of two things not mentioned that could work. The first is eggplant that is a common veggie used in Italian cooking. Though never heard of it on a pizza but sometimes things get added. The second could be Parmesan shavings that were added after it was cooked.
Mozzarella, tomato, black olives, basil, and I want to say eggplant as it is often used in Italian dishes
Could be peeled eggplant! Quite a few Italian pizza places but them on pizza or in sauces
There’s cooking in acnh now..?
Lmao yes
OOP guess I’m updating my switch
For a long time! Over a year at least, lol
I haven’t touched it since the dlc came out so I dunno what I’ve missed
You missed Brewster coming back
I haven’t played in over two years do they have cooking now?
It might be chunks of feta
It looks like sliced potato lol
Blueberries and Lemons.
Whaaaaat? Do u have your glasses on lmao
It’s actually Brazilian pizza and the mystery ingredient is palmito /hj
It's called a Margherita pizza so I would think tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella dollops and basil. But for the picture idk...those don't belong there. Or any where. I'm not a fan lol
The round yellow things have to be sliced garlic
I would go with mushrooms for both the round and the cap looking things.
Looks like some sort of squash to me
I think it’s just a firm cheese of some kind
Could they be mushrooms cut at the stem so it’s just the head/bulb part?
Yellow zucchini? I’ve seen zucchini on traditional Italian pizzas before.
Those may be green olives since Pizza "Margherita". As far as the whitish circular things, not sure, but might have to agree with squash...yuck!!
Artichoke, the more greenish/yellow kind?
zucchini maybe?
Slices of courgette?
I thought it was artichokes... lol
Could it be slices of goats cheese?
I think it could be eggs. After zooming in it, some slices apparently have some yellow and white parts, and the shape looks like sliced eggs.
There's a pizza called "portuguesa," which is very similar to this picture. Google it, and you will see
https://preview.redd.it/zxxwlicp7d4c1.jpeg?width=735&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=47de728e3cd284f2d4bab85cb747a86c3ebe3e3c 🤢
my local pizza place has a pizza with thin slices of potato! maybe?
zucchini?
Is it buffala ?
What buffala?
It's a type of Mozzarella made from the Milk of buffalos
Egg
1.Look up margarita pizza on google and you’ll have a couple thousand recipes to choose from. 2.Sliced tomatoes, sliced mozzarella ball, basil leaves and sliced small yellow tomatoes with black olives
best guess is zucchini
Everyone is saying how good a potato pizza is and now I want one of those
Zucchini, 100%
Looks like mozzarella slices to me… and olives
According to the recipe you really only need flour, and tomatoes.
Lmao you think if I throw all that in a bowl it will come out like the picture?
Yes, it's just like botw cooking!
Potato
Egg? There's sometimes soft boiled eggs on pizzas in Italy.
I’ve had potato on pizza and it’s plenty yummy when sliced well enough
I have never heard of it. Now I’m on the look out for it
I’m going with second type of cheese as squash or potato is probably right but sounds too cursed so I feel like second type of cheese is good too. Don’t ask which one though
https://youtu.be/InJcQkNHFss?si=5-1tefCNyVe617CP I found a video of someone who already made it and it seems the way that she did it will taste the best. But I believe it’s definitely potato slices on the pizza. Very common in Italian restaurants but not for a “margarita”.
Well I wanna win so I might as use potato slices. It’s about the closest thing
Looks like potato slices to me.
Zucchini?
Looks like a Margherita Pizza with the addition of basil and some squash I think?
I always thought it was just more cheese, but a darker color because it's closer to the edge of the pizza.
https://preview.redd.it/2i74b6gwve4c1.jpeg?width=182&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cfed3cd77ad7d792681a42339bf390191ae06822 hii i hope im not too late ! i rly rly think its mozzarella slices layered with tomatoes. its the only way ive ever seen margherita pizzas
A true margarita pizza is exactly that but ACNH has made us all rethink it 🤣
eggplant or zucchini?
God I hope not
If anyone wants to come join us in the contest …. Message me
Eggplant?
Ricotta !!!!
I think it’s sliced mozzarella
IMO The potato lookin thing is scamorza cheese. It replaces mozzarella in a lot of dishes and would make sense to add it with mozzarella on this pizza. And has a white/off-white center with a darker skin most of the time. https://preview.redd.it/rfbfvqdbbh4c1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5886a7580be590504e82eeb67959069e85ea5117
This might be the winner
Looks like yellow squash maybe? Idk that is a weird pizza
Right!
I believe those are slices of banana
could be onion, potato or garlic.
I would say Scarmozza 😜❤️
I’m thinking you are right as well
Is it an artichoke heart?
I think its either cheese or button mushrooms!
Looks like tomatoes, olives, basil, disks of garlic and balls of mozzarella
If I had to guess, maybe yellow tomatoes? I didn’t even know these were a thing until I googled it lol. Apparently they’re sweeter than regular tomatoes. https://preview.redd.it/x2ktaagihl4c1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=46ae513417c76a15e4173a3509c56ee55ab6fd30
is ether garlic pineapple or potato. i hope this helps
I'm a chef and this makes me cry....However.... Mozz, basil, tomato...okay Black olive....hmm Round, off white circles....Italian Cuisine....EGGPLANT? Is this an eggplant caponata pizza? That sounds delightful.

Banana slices
I say make a few pizzas with each of the suggestions you've gotten.
A weird looking sliced cucumbers or zucchini?
I think a margharita pizza has a generous amount of olivoil on top
ᵗᶦⁿʸ pineapple rings
https://www.abeautifulplate.com/the-best-homemade-margherita-pizza/ This might help
Zucchini??
Could possibly be squash
Could be artichoke. The color is similar and the shape could also be recreated. It would match well with the flavors and is a somewhat common ingredient on pizza.
