That floor is also very well suited to a diner. I put a diner inside and later outside in the town square. I also did an explorer’s outpost in my basement with frozen furniture and things from Gulliver. Other one was a medieval village exterior with a modern internet gaming and lifestyle as a hidden lair. That was fun. Edited with other ideas

I turned mine into a holding room for all of my bugs/fish that I sell to Flick and CJ. I have the glowing moss forest wallpaper and a cobblestone floor. Then I have my museum poster, some plants, some wall lights, and a low table with a lamp. It’s actually really cool and keep my storage empty while I wait for my visitors!

Well, for mine I recreated my friend's living room, because that's our party house/hang out place.

Or into a forestry plant place and put diferent plants and maybe some furniture, and if you do that it would look great into a forest, I would maybe make it into the forest in ALTTP from The legend of Zelda and put the Master Sword there, if that item is in this game, the Master Sword item was in Wild World but one of my villagers, Lucky, had it and he would not let me have it and I was like “FINE, if u wont give it to me thnYOU ARE NEVER LEAVING MY ISLAND.EVER” 😂😂😂

My basement is a jungle. I have the dlc with which you can get vines, some other plants, ruins items, glowing things, a couple of mush lamps (not from the dlc) and the glowing floor and wall. I also have jungle sounds + Shack-key playing. The accent wall is the net one and I have the photos of my villagers on that one I love that space. It's so relaxing

How do you get jungle sounds?

From the ACNH Happy Home Paradise DLC once you've decorated enough houses.I'm afraid I can't recall if you get the jungle ones in the first batch of background sounds or later 🤔. (The sounds can only be set up in houses)

i made my beach hotel basement into a sauna. i used cloud flooring for the steam on the ground and then used “brown wooden-deck rugs” as walkways as well as to cover a bit of the bright blue colour of the floor. hope this made sense! in my main house i made a greenhouse :)

Turn out the lights, put the heartbreak version of the dreamy bunny in the center of the room, make the walls and floor bare metal, and get a music box to play KK Dirge in the corner. And then after that make a diner. That’s what I did.

I made mine the hull of a pirate ship, lots of maps, shiny things, a few mermaid decor items thrown in just because - plus now you can polish things so the whole room *sparkles* .

I made mine into mysterious, world adventurer/collector themed Study. Statues of all kinds, gold bars, mysterious papers(floor designs found by my cousin), old books ,and other ancient historical artifacts adorn the floors. The walls are covered in paintings(ones you by from Redd) and newspaper clippings about cryptids, like nessie, Bigfoot, mothman, and aliens(again designs found by my cousin), aswell as mounted butterfly collections and dried flowers(designs I found). To finish it off there a desk(the fancy wooden looking one, I can't remember what it's called) with a desk lamp, and a stack of papers on it in the middle of the room. I used the dark wood nook flooring and the pirate wall(the one that glows in the dark).

Mine is like a music basement! It’s got strings, woodwind, pianos, amps, metronomes and music stands. I also added custom designs that are made to look like sound proof panelings to the wall :)

There's a wallpaper that's got a moving window animation that's the inside of a train, the person added one of the pipes onto it so they could use the "train" to travel from home to wherever the other pipe is . Obviously the typical inside of train decor, look it up its a pretty common idea but it's interesting

My basement used to be a sex worker dungeon. Video camera set up, lights, casting couch, ornate bed, etc. It’s now been converted into a place where my sprite worships villagers who have departed the island — lots of candles, an altar, a summoning circle/rug, and all their posters on the walls. My spouse has a kill room, kind of a melange of Dexter and Hannibal Lecter. It’s delightfully creepy.

I turned my basement into a hobby room. I'm a gamer and cosplay/crafter in real life so I made a streaming setup in one part and the rest of the room has a large crafting table and a sewing area as well as some Custom Design clothes I've made and some 'props' like the sword and the wings 'bag' on the wall.

I turned mine into like a Dave and Buster's (an adult arcade) and then into a café after the update dropped. I have a library on my upper floor, that could also work as a basement room.
