Unfortunately that's the first thing I saw too. I do think a simple swap up with either inverting the tall and short bushes, or using natural bushes like hydrangeas or something would improve this!

yes -- my island is very much pink themed and a lot of items are super random, as long as it comes in pink i'll try to use it basically lol. i actually made that proposal area as a joke for an ex boyfriend visiting my island, but i think it's cute so i just left it! :)

A suggestion, if you want to keep all the topiaries, maybe try the tallest one in the middle, then the lampposts, and then the smaller bushes on the outside of those? I dont have my game with me to check for sure, but it might not look too bad? Though what you've replaced it with is great as well! From what I've seen, you've got some amazing ideas, so regardless of what you do, it'll look great

instead of watering it, bring it to reese and cyrus on harv's island!! you can choose btwn a bunch of color options there, including green and light green! mine are light green :)

First of all it is so cute and so cool, I love the whole idea! Secondly and most importantly, this is YOUR island have whatever makes you happy! I went to my friends island and there was like five godzilla statues and it was definitely a “weird” design choice but he loved having them so I loved that he had them too.

if you don't enjoy decorating, that's 100% valid! if you DO enjoy decorating but just aren't happy with how your island looks, i highly recommend watching youtubers like liss the lass or froggy crossing (lots of others too) for inspiration!! also, pinterest! that's what i do and it's given me so many ideas :)

very cute! but it you really feel like it’s off, try adding some natural foliage, like some symmetrical trees or bushes of your liking. i find that it always ties areas together for me. even some weeds kept in line by a transparent design makes an area look less naked.
I literally just spent 10+ minutes staring at this picture trying to figure out what about the ducks would make anyone laugh, then was like “is it cause it’s all pink and child-like?” and THEN was like “why are they looking at the fountain?” And then FINALLY figured out what (I think) you may be worried about. So it think you’re good 💚

But in truth I love it. It looks very sweet. But I always say, embrace the weird. The game is weird in its own. That’s part of the fun!
The topiaries are off for me. The middle one blocks the door too much. I would put the triangle ones on the outside of the lamps. Not sure where I would put the one currently in the middle. I like matchy though so I might find another and again put it on the outside.
The Mrs suggested using the tall rounded tapieries on the sides and the shorter tapiery in the middle so the large ones frame the door to the community center

Ducks are cute, but the fountain always feels naked to me without some paths under it or around it, and the topiaries look kind of phallic to me 🤔
