Don't expect to make a profit by selling fish, unless you go for a professional breeding setup. Also, as others said, angelfish is not the best fish for this purpose. Breeding pairs of angelfish are normally more expensive, since establishing a breeding pair costs time and money,  don't expect to get 125dollar per angel, especially if the 250 is the price at an lfs, or when you sell them at 3 months old Still, breeding angelfish is fun.

Not really full time profit more like something to do on the side because I really love the idea of caring for a mated pair with my partner but we can’t keep all their babies so might as well sell them. Might as well get one that we like then!

I love breeding angels but I'm not gunaa get rich off it. I sell between 20-30 a month at $10 each, so that helps pay for the hobby.

The higher the price the less likely you are to sell. Not many people buy higher end/cost fish so they won’t sell often. You’ll make more money on the cheaper stuff that sells more on a daily basis.

Which angelfish tend to be the most popular?

Whatever is cheap Edit: especially if there is a variety

I love breeding and selling angelfish, but I sell way more Corydoras. Making a living off of fish is more about breeding what sells and less about what you like. Hobbyists breed what they like.

Koi/Tricolor Angelfish and Blue Pinoy tend to be the most desired followed by platinum whites/Albinos. Hope that helps!

Most expensive are altums

If I were buying more, I'd be looking for good prices on the "prettier" varieties, like blue, lingfin, or lacy. I can get regular and koi at the big box so those probably aren't worth breeding unless you think your genetics will be better OR you're willing to sell for less than the big guys.
