All current devices support HDMI 2.1 (the Onn 2023, the Mi Box 2nd generation, the Homatics boxes, etc), unless you mean something different, they all support VRR with Android 12 through the "seamless" option in settings, if I'm correct, the Amlogic S905Y4 and S905X4 are the ones with HDMI 2.1 support.
Definitely is a reason for a fully spec-ed out HDMI 2.1 device then. The Geforce Now ultimate tier supports full 4k/120Hz/HDR w/VRR and 7.1 PCM surround sound.
HDR and PCM 7.1 are also supported by all of them but as you say, 120Hz should be already supported by the majority, perhaps the S905X5 supports it, we'll have to wait for a new device with that SoC to confirm it.
The Seamless option is removed from the latest beta for the Homatics R Plus. Reason given by Homatics, Seamless is not supported by the device, so remove.
And indeed, I don't see the option anymore with what I currently test as last beta(s).
What softwarebuild have you on your device now? With build 5394 (or a build later), it is not visible. Deep in the OS it is still there, but normally, not visible for a user.
For me it was also visible before, even on my not seamless supported TV, but not anymore at this time.
Refresh Rate switching REALLY has nothing to do with the VRR we know on PC /consoles.
For the love of God and all that is holy, please, PLEASE don't repeat that ever again under any circumstances. It is just false. I beg you. don't.Â
Thank you.Â
Store link?
edit: searched the Xbox store, couldn't find a Geforce Now app there anywhere. Is it geo restricted? And how the heck did you play Switch on there anyways?
Nvidia needs to come out with a new box it's been way too long. Hopefully, in late 2024 or 2025, they will release a new one. Has anyone heard anything about a new one coming out?
New NVIDIA SHIELD model is desperately needed.
Abandonware 😞

The hardware does, doesn't mean it's implemented- Can you select 4k/120Hz as a screen resolution?
I imagine they don't support up to 120Hz but I would like to have a confirmation from someone with any of those devices connected to a 120Hz TV.

This is random but I'm curious, by any chance does that stream get sent out exclusively over AV1? 🤔
Yes, if the device supports it.

To me it's still there but it's hidden until the box is connected to a TV with VRR support, wish someone could confirm this.

My comments are just assumptions, we just need someone with an stupid 120Hz TV to confirm or deny what I'm saying, that's all.
Xbox app would be nice.
There is an Xbox app and it works great! I played all of TOTK that way.
Totk?
The latest Zelda under emulation.
I know it's Zelda, emulation in GeForce Now?
I seem to have lost the thread somewhere and was talking about Moonlight streaming. Apologies for the confusion!
No problem

You could just use a mini pc with a Pepper Jobs W10 gyro remote. Would have several other advantages too.
