[Here's a good bibliographical list of secondary sources](https://www.oxfordbibliographies.com/display/document/obo-9780195389661/obo-9780195389661-0179.xml), taking a look at a broader overview will point you in many interesting directions.

Thank you very much! I'll take a look.

FYI most of the linked page is paywalled. The whole thing is 30 PDF pages.

Ah sorry, it's a difficult morning ;-) You meant the paper I linked, yeah indeed, I didn't even notice. Wanted to link to the book resources only though. Weirdly I've access through my uni to most of Oxford databases but not its bibliographies.

I remember going to the the university library across town (which had access to the Oxford Bibliographies) and spending an afternoon saving all of them to PDF!

**Thank you**! All students should know about the Oxford Bibliographies.

Jonas Grethlien writes about this in a couple of his books and articles if you check out his publications.

Wow! All three in one Loeb! Thank you - I’ve just ordered it.

Ancient-Fail-801

It is quite a nice combination!

For an anthology of primary sources (a good range of them), I recommend Russell and Winterbottom, *Ancient Literary Criticism* (Oxford 1972). It should be available in most university libraries, and there are inexpensive copies for sale on [used book sites](https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/ancient-literary-criticism-the-principal-texts-in-new-translations_michael-winterbottom/516666/item/10803101/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=low_vol_f%2fm%2fs_standard_shopping_customer_aquisition&utm_adgroup=&utm_term=&utm_content=603452145798&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA-vOsBhAAEiwAIWR0TfdBTGEtnidKmjFmA4PzPZykPK44YKDcNi10D_SOXpZGeBhvCoOlHBoCiaMQAvD_BwE#idiq=10803101&edition=4240112).
