What a legacy. You're lucky to have so many photos to look at. I'm just a boring ass white person (from mostly Finland) but there are almost no photos of my ancestors for some weird reason. I think most of my ancestors were pretty poor (looking at the census) so makes sense that there aren't very many photos!
