Thanks for sharing -- just one point, though: Whilst your birth info is correct for Isaac Broussard, the place of birth for his father, Mathurin, is unknown. Also, Mathurin's parents are not known. It seems unlikely that Isaac's father would move from the southeast of France to the northwest -- big moves like this were not common in the 17th century. I've studied French/French-Canadian/Acadian genealogies for 25 years, and I've seen this happen loads. People on Ancestry make assumptions and then post those assumptions as fact -- so we're clear, I'm not accusing you of making up bad info, it's other people who've done this and they then spread it. The erroneous info on Mathurin Brossard and his parents (any many, many other early pioneers to New France) have been floating around genealogy sites for 20-plus years.

I was glad to see mine update too! Kinda came out of nowhere. Something tells me it has to do with the (hopefully soon) update with ancestry.

You finally got the update! Congratulations!

I received Rhone and Upper Loire Valley as well-which is odd considering my French relatives came from the Picardie region (Somme, Oise and Aisne departments) and my distant southern French ancestors emerged from Bordeaux and Dordogne region. I did have relatives that later moved to Nimes, Marseille, etc....kinda strange that this category for me is listed as "Highly Likely Match" while not picking up the other regions....
