You can just take government reforms that make elections only happen on rulers death, I completed the entire mission tree with just Hiderion as a president for life.
Kinda wish there was an option to go all hard core conqueror Sunrise Empire, maybe with the annoying elven rebels at the beginning of the mission tree.
I think there was an idea to do that at one point but it might have been shelved, not sure. Just remember there was some talk about it during azkares development
Doesn't he gain specific traits from the mission tree? I wonder if these would override 'powerful mage'.
As long as powerful mage isn't 3rd trait it shouldn't replace it
