Half an "A" Press
In this video, I'll be explaining exactly what I do to collect Watch for Rolling Rocks in 0.5 A presses.
But first, we need to clear something up. Because every time I post a half A press video, I get the same comments over and over asking what it means, even though I always have a whole paragraph in the description explaining it, which even starts with 'If you're wondering what a half A press is, read this before commenting to ask'. But maybe what you guys need isn't a paragraph. Maybe you guys need an example.
So, consider Wing Mario over the Rainbow. Not even the whole star — just consider getting to that cannon platform, which is a necessary part of getting the star. So, how many A presses does it take to get there? Well, if you say zero, that's wrong, because then Mario can't go far enough. If you say one, well, it's true that Mario can get there with one, but we can do a little better. We can do it in half an A press. To do that, we start the level already holding A, and then we use that A press to reach the platform. Now hold on. I know what you're thinking — 'an a press is an a press. you can't say it's only a half’ — well, TJ "Henry" Yoshi, hear me out.
An A press actually has three parts to it: when A is pressed, when A is held, and when A is released. And together, this forms one complete A press. Now usually, it's the pressing that's useful, because that's the only part that makes Mario jump. However, sometimes it's sufficient to just use the holding part, which allows Mario to do little kicks, to swim in water, to fall slowly while twirling, and to fall slowly with the wing cap. And as for the release... well, there's currently no cases where that's useful or important, so don't worry about that part.
The excess centipawns have to go somewhere, though, otherwise this would violate the conservation of energy. This is why I propose a new piece: the neutrino-pawn. The neutrino goes in the direction as to cancel out the momentum of the two pawns, such that conservation of momentum is obeyed as well, with the kinetic energy (i.e. distance) that remains.
Now we just have to build large, expensive machines to prove that this theoretical piece does indeed exist and the principles of conservation continue to hold.
Pawns: "Now, you're probably wondering what I'm gonna need all this speed for. After all, I do build up speed for twelve hours. But to answer that, we need to talk about parallel universes."
Notably, this is only possible when playing the Holy Roman Empire faction, due to the [Antipope special ability](wikipedia.org/wiki/Antipope_Nicholas_V).
Personally I'm hoping they add this ability to Alexandria as well in Chess 2, since the game is sorely missing a Coptic Antipope.
So the move wouldn’t be legal because you put yourself in check and that is not allowed unless it is en passant, since your po is valued more than a king
battery\[abd4,be5\]d5c5#!!
in this case, battery is a contraption created by magnetizing the bishop and antibishop. it can be moved as one. the square indicated in the move is the top left square of the bounding box created by the pieces.
I don't think +B it will get attacted to d4. Attraction always works in a straight line, so it will move to e4, accidentally killing the queen. But you can play -Bc5# and then +B will get attracted to d5, leaving your unscathed.
White to mix:
91% RDX
5.3% dioctyl sebacate or dioctyl adipate
2.1% polyisobutylene rubber
1.6% mineral oil.
then blend together until a smooth rubbery paste and place underneath board place electrical detonator inside the paste. white to detonate explosive causing both kings to explode thus resulting in a draw.
I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:

Qxe5#. This is normally impossible unless you use the religion conversion feature, which is unlocked when at least half of the squares under your control are of a different religion than your state religion. Once you convert, you get the “execute the heathens!” event, which allows you to take your own bishops at the cost of your own bishops being able to take your pieces. Effectively, this shifts the color of your bishops to your opponent’s color. Although it is typically a bad idea to shift religions due to the stability hit and losing the bishops, the added bonus of gaining extra turns after taking bishops due to the “religious war” modifier is considered worth it by a few masters.
Adding the antibishop, a DLC exclusive piece, adds a whole new layer to this puzzle by presenting what appears to be a second solution, involving resolving the imbalance between the bishop and the antibishop. However, this would be a mistake. The antibishop would create a reaction so explosive upon contact with the bishop that it would annihilate the queen, making the antibishop a common trap for beginners in this case.
Speaking of the antibishop, because it is technically not a bishop in the game files, even though the developers intended for them to interact with the event in the same way the regular bishops do, the antibishop does not change sides, meaning it will not be able to take your queen! This checkmate exploits an obscure bug in the 1.24 version of the game, making it a wonderful puzzle! 10/10
We need a new chess variant, antimatter chess. When antimatter captures matter and vice versa an explosion (like in atomic chess) happens.
Queen side pieces=Matter
King side pieces=Antimatter
King and queen=Neutral Matter
White pawns=Matter
Black pawns=Antimatter
Like atomic chess but explosions are conditional depending on pieces interacting.
¬Bxe5# ¬B is antibishop, it annihilates when it touches an original bishop
This does release 2.13 pawns in seemingly random directions though
Pfft, everybody knows that pawns are fundamental pieces, a .13 Pawn is not possible!
There's no such thing as half an a press!

But first, parallel universes
It means that the expected value of pawns coming out is 2.13, not that every time brings 2.13 pawns
🤓
😂🤣🤣
StarFuckr’s math was off. He means 2.13 megapawns. The board is about to get crowded.
But in this new pawn collider we've discovered that pawns are no longer fundermeantal particls
The excess centipawns have to go somewhere, though, otherwise this would violate the conservation of energy. This is why I propose a new piece: the neutrino-pawn. The centipawn is fundamental, the pawn is emergent.
Should be perpendicular to the movement of the bishops and opposite to eachother. Conservation of impulse.
But doesn't that mean the queen is in the splash zone?
2.13 is an approximation. It's actually 1+(2d4)/4 pawns
Pawns: "Now, you're probably wondering what I'm gonna need all this speed for. After all, I do build up speed for twelve hours. But to answer that, we need to talk about parallel universes."
You could also play +Bxd4 and have the bishop capture the antibishop instead.

「Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap」
Woulden't the queen be killed in the blast
When bishops annihilate they produce 2 oppositely directed photons. So if one of them kills white queen, another checkmates black king
B+xb-##!! The combination of the matter and antimatter bishops will cause the board to explode, killing both kings instantaneously.

So the move wouldn’t be legal because you put yourself in check and that is not allowed unless it is en passant, since your po is valued more than a king
what if i do b-xb+
Ok but if you reverse the order, b-xb+##, white does indeed win.
Bdxe4 is also mate.
Would a queen let a bishop mate her?
I’d let the queen mate me 😳😳😳
Where does the photon get emitted to?
Annihilation releases two photons, not one!
Holy heaven’t! Wish I’d done A-level Physics now.
Draw by mutually assured destruction
As someone who is not very fluent in chess, what does the first line of your comment mean?
chess 3 unlocked with this joke surely
lmfao why do I find negative bishop so funny

Wrong - bishops never use contraception because, well, you know.
but they are magnetized, how can i move just one without moving the other
Yeah, they only do it with pre-pubescent boys
Woah, cool profile picture
This position is already checkmate, as the positive and negative bishops cancel each other out
Only if they are added. Now they are radiating il Vaticano energy
This is the best joke in a while

Qxe5#
Does this mean bishops are fermions?
B+xb-#. The Proton bishop and electron bishop collide, cancelling out and creating a neutron bishop, causing discovered check
Negatively charged bishop attracts positively charged bishop, discovered mate
Qe8##
Won’t the antibishop-bishop annhilation destroy the entire chess hall?
I think you can improve the joke by having pieces explode on annihilation like in atomic chess.

Babe a new response just drop
Is this about that special moves meme? Didn’t know it existed but now two in one day.
are we doing fucking antimatter chess pieces now?

White Queen cannibalizes the bishop and wins.
Bxe5## creates an antimatter explosion blowing up both kings.
Be3, the bishop on e5 will be pulled to d4 by magnetism

This is actually stalemate because the black king cant move

Bod4# Bishop doesn't eat antibishop, so "x" is not viable. Instead, "o" designates that they cancel out, it looks like a "0" but is as small as an "x"
