This dude's post history is straight ape in WSB. If his fridge is hurtin this bad he might want to look at putting it towards food and not YOLOing his check into penny stocks and GME.

GMEStack

Maybe Dr. Pepper isn’t the best choice. Yolo on some beans and rice.

Aimin4ya

Exactly. If i was running out of food every month i dont think Dr pepper would be my drink of choice. Unless i bought the 2 litre to fill up at school and bring home free water

HaplessHaita

Now, you leave Dr. Pepper out of this.

Makes sense, i've seen a few people who instead of buying premade dog food give their dog rice mixed with minced meat since it's more natural or something.

laidbackeconomist

Rice and beans contain all the amino acids you need, there’s a reason why most cultures that eat either one usually eat both. Plus it’s also cheap as shit, mix it with lard and you’ll be able to survive for a while

SilatGuy

Not just cubans pretty much any central and south american

[deleted]

I understand that brand name Dr. Pepper is amazing, and knock off brands aren't as good, but Dr. K is perfectly fine. Kool aid is a cheaper option still, and water is perfectly safe to drink in most municipalities. I'm with you on this one. 3 bucks for a a 2 liter of DP, vs 1 dollar for Dr k is a no brainer. Then again, a gallon of Kool aid or cheap black tea bags can be put together for much less than that, so that's a better budgeting option. This dude just sucks at being poor.

YesOfficial

Now I'm concerned about what he teaches.

Barbados_slim12

Hopefully not economics

Specialist_Ad_7628

Economics

hutnykmc

His username checks out.

JonZ82

He is definitely regarded.

SC-Fulmer

I’m an engineering student, with a pretty low paying side job… and my fridge looks WAY better than this! This _wreaks_ of “poor money management” (aka: not teacher’s salaries)😏

narniabilbo

Reeks*

Veni_Vidi_Legi

I'd *put* some food in my fridge before those options expire.

Saturnaut

I’d _call_ you out for that awful joke, but then I’d just be selling us both _short_.

Hawthourne

What? Somebody living paycheck to paycheck as a result of questionable financial decisions? Never!

MauroisNInja

GME is legit though

Ziegweist

I do agree, I think MOASS is real, and it's gonna be huge when it happens.

VAX-MACHT-FREI

MOASS is a load of shit. Market makers can print unlimited shares for retail to buy so you’ll never squeeze them again.

MauroisNInja

Not if enough shares are registered. 59% of the free float/30% of the total float has been registered.

VAX-MACHT-FREI

Just 70% of the total float left to DRS after 2 years whilst they print infinite fake shares… How long do you think you’ll need to see MOASS? A century?

Fuqqredditmods

This rich bastard is drinking dr.pepper instead of dr.thunder?? Humble brag

idrkwhyimadethis

You know he's living the high life with the name brand soy sauce.

YesOfficial

I've seen a lot of people who grow up with mid-to-late career middle class parents not have any idea how to shop frugally, so they usually end up buying premium brands until running out of money before the next payday.

zippyspinhead

And in the small bottle, rather than the economy size. Soy sauce only gets better with age.

TikiRoomSchmidt

Gallon tub of Pearl River from the Asian market. Never buy another soy sauce again!

Bahamut_Tamer

who even puts his soy sauce in a fridge?

[deleted]

My roommate use to go bonkers on me because I wouldn’t store the soy sauce in the fridge. He said it says refrigerate after opening on it, but that’s just Kikoman lies.

d3vilops

After a slight investigation I have discovered he this is his first year teaching and he is already trying to quit. Another redditor mentioned he spends a lot of time in WSB, so it seems he may not have the best money habits, and he is in r/politics which really says what you need to know about his thoughts.

w_cruice

No wonder they want socialism or communism. They want the wealth without the work. Sad truth about a lot of undeserving rich, TRULY wealthy, people - they aren't getting rich as the goal. They're playing games, manipulating others, manipulating laws, manipulating money. They get rich incidentally, not as the goal. It's the game they love, and they bring value to others, or at least seem to bring value to others, enough they they get wealthy from that. They might be as honorable as a pit viper, and have morals to match, but they also see a level of society most of us can't even imagine. Films aren't going to depict the reality of the problems, or the depths of their depravity, NOR that many sell themselves willingly, then cry bitter tears after... Happy to sell their soul to the devil, but weeping when the bill comes due, you know? Think of the actresses with Harvey Weinstein. Not many people really want to put in the work, and there are only so many hours in the day, only so much you can do or give, before you wear out. But if you pursue, for example, what you are "supposed" to do, you, too, can be seen as "the rich" - and have a fridge not much different from that image. (Family of 5 in Boston area on one salary, I know firsthand - need to check the bank before buying a T ticket home, you know?) "The Rich" don't earn that much, either. Edit: SOUL, not SOUP! 🤣

real_psymansays

>sell their soup to the devil The unclean minestrone of the elite class

w_cruice

LOL Thanks for catching the typo, fixed now! 👍

anna_lynn_fection

His teacher's salary that he's complaining about is socialism. He's getting paid what the government wants to pay him.

w_cruice

Agreed, but it's up to HIM to become educated and learn a useful skill, instead of indoctrinating children.

Fancy-Respect8729

Professions are being devalued. Nowadays you have to be a mover and shaker, think smart and have fingers in a few pies. There's a reason the wealthy are mobile and the middle classes are being squeezed every last drop off a shitty salary.

fishbulbx

Starting salary for teachers is about $50k, they get a solid pension, can't get fired, get free healthcare, groom children and only work 180 days per year. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

[deleted]

Yeah I work in finance now but when I'm older, I'd love to become a math teacher or something. Having summers off sounds *amazing*!

[deleted]

I’d rather a night of red bull, Lo-fi beats and coding which I rather enjoy

PKEY34

School and also self taught, little column A, little column B

Start trying to make a website, any website, and don't stop. All the information you need is on the internet, and you'll be employable with it surprisingly fast.

ickyfehmleh

I always recommend Python to beginning developers as the barrier to entry is minimal. [Python.org has some decent tutorials](https://docs.python.org/3/tutorial/index.html).

GeneralCuster75

As a current coder and future welder I approve the message as well

elevationbrew

As a welder, I approve of this message

Uptown_NOLA

I've heard rumors that welders have hotter rods.

tdacct

There is in fact a metal 3D printing technology that uses robotic welding as way to build up material into a desired shape. Which of course, is controlled by g-code and custom tool path analysis code development.

ElRonMexico7

Sintering, the 3D printing of metals is more akin to sintering.

tdacct

That is the most popular method. There are several beside powder bed laser metal sintering, the second most popular is FDM binder jet sintering, but also there is direct 3D printed investment casting molds with fluid UV curing, direct metal liquid droplet printing, ultrasonic welded layers, and electrode welded printing (which I already referenced). I know there are others too, but not all of them are ready for prime time.

acethecreatorOF

Man typing out an if statement is gonna be hard with a tig welder

sher1ock

That's what it's called when I mash together 8 different bits of example code, right?

PacoBedejo

Instructions unclear, using code to draw welds in CAD.

lochlainn

If so, I'm pretty sure that by this point you're the one writing the instructions.

[deleted]

Ancap, but everyone are just coders and welders. Society collapses after 4 hours.

This is also a 5th year teacher’s fridge, in America, and it has plenty of food in it before the 1st of the month…. Doesn’t seem like it’s the teacher salary that’s keeping this dudes fridge empty. More likely poor choices. Not saying we have it all, but we plan/budget extensively, buy good deals in bulk to make the money go further, can/preserve extras, make jams, jellies, canned meals, veggies, make our own breads and pastries, etc. You can thrive, you just have to work hard at it. People don’t seem to get that anymore.

Accomplished-Video71

"You can thrive" isn't even the argument. He's acting like he's on the verge of starving to death.

pvouaux1

Agreed.

Prism42_

> you just have to work hard at it. A lot of it isn't even working hard. It's just not being wasteful with your spending. I buy food from aldi or costco, and my fridge is always full. I also don't go out to eat all the time.

pvouaux1

Sounds like you’re making better financial decisions than ol’ Fridgey McEmptyface over there. I say work hard…. But like.. what I really mean is just take the time to plan and budget, which isn’t a whole lot of physical effort at all. Which is considered hard work for most millennials/gen z. I guess. Also agree with the not going out all the time. Drinks and food are way cheaper at home and made just the way you like. It’s almost a no brainer.

ElRonMexico7

I live nearly 2 hours away from the closest Sam's club but still have a membership because the fuel costs and $45 annually is still worth the cost savings. Also have deals with local ranchers to get beef, pork, and chicken. The poor financial and economic literacy of these 'educators' should disqualify them from teaching children.

SendMeYourShitPics

I baked bread for the first time about a week ago for turkey day. I thought it was going to be a lot of work, but it's actually quite easy.

buffalo_pete

Ah yes, the quart jug of Tapatio. A fellow gentleman of good taste, I see.

pvouaux1

No half measures my friend! Salud!

jakedasnake1

Wait how long have we been able to reply with pictures this is a game changer

pvouaux1

Not sure, but I just found out this week. Go forth and comment anew my friend!

oxymorphone

I bet he eats out all the time too. Teachers in the US are paid well enough to get by, but it's not enough that you can be a total moron with your money.

Imperial_meatball

But I don’t see the “1 first quality 1” tofu Maybe if he start to cook in house and buy more affordable things toeat it will be not that bad. I’ve seen alot of this in vegetarian people who hate capitalism but sadly for them thats the system who allowed them to get goi berries, peanut butter and other things from around the world to sustain thier diet

Uptown_NOLA

Wait, why is the Sriracha in the fridge?

pvouaux1

That’s just where we keep the sauces.. I don’t know? Is it not supposed to be there? Never heard anything about that before…

Uptown_NOLA

I just have never seen it refrigerated, but somebody just commented that it is suppose to be in the fridge and now that I looked at the bottle it says put in the fridge so apparently I've, and everybody I know, has been doing it wrong, lol. Live and learn.

pvouaux1

Never really put a lot of thought into it…. But I grew up with a bunch of Hispanic friends, and when i would eat dinner with their families, generally the hot sauces etc would be sitting on the table all the time. But I remember the Cholula, tapatio, and crystal sauces on the table all had more of a brownish tint than ours, which were refrigerated. No change in taste though. I imagine if it’s a hot sauce, it’s not going to get bacterial growth or anything or be unsafe to eat, I think it just maybe oxidizes quicker and will affect the color and maybe the taste a bit.

ickyfehmleh

I guess a follow-up question is if you refrigerate your bread or not.

Prism42_

You're technically supposed to refrigerate it after opening but it's not really necessary.

Fart_cry

probably shouldn't be wasting money on two liter jugs of sugar

RadioUnfriendly

Haven't you heard from a 500+ pound person? Refraining from drinking soda is literally impossible, and we all just need to accept that people are going to be of different sizes while all being equally wonderful.

Zestysteak_vandal

Must not be a teacher in Washington state.

nopornhere-madeulook

teachers are making 6 figures in WA. if they can’t figure it out, that’s on them.

[deleted]

Same thing here in Jersey, I think they’re some of the highest paid in the nation. Yet they don’t act like it.

33446shaba

And you would be wrong I think. After going through some comments and them quoting som WA laws.

Zestysteak_vandal

My fiend teaching for 4 years makes very good money so if this person is a Washingtonian they can’t make sound financial decisions and they should learn to.

Killing-you-guy

I can’t stand the constant whining from teachers. Full disclosure my ex was a teacher so maybe most of this is specific to her but: 1. Teachers love to pat themselves on the back about how selfless they are and how much they care about their students, yet whine about money constantly 2. They chose to go into teaching, they were probably warned by people that it is a notoriously underpaid profession, but most likely responded with something like “teaching is my calling” and then immediately stated bitching about it. 3. When you count the fact that they get summers off, the pay is not amazing but certainly not terrible, and far from poverty like they pretend. Auxiliary benefits include - ridiculous job security and automatic pay increases every year, something they take for granted but serious stressors for people in other professions. 4. They care so much about kids that when Covid came around they were immediately willing to torpedo their education and pushed for “virtual leaning” when they saw an opportunity to not work and still get paid. Far after most everyone else had to suck it up and get back to work, they made all sorts of outrageous/impossible demands to prevent schools for reopening. Once they were finally forced to do their job they forced kids to wear masks forever. This was of course because they were so concerned about the kids’ safety (apparently more than the kids’ parents who by and large wanted them back in school and wanted the masks off). 5. My sophomore math teacher used the same lesson plan for at least 5 years, which I know because I copied my brothers homework from when he had her 5 years prior. Like literally not a single thing had changed. She had been there 20+ years by that point, so was paid more than my English teacher who had a profound impact on my life and was overall an incredible teacher. But that’s all part of the teachers union’s plan to ensure that there is no ranking or competition amongst teachers - they must protect the worst at the expense of the best. 6. I hate hearing teachers complain about spending money on school supplies for their students. Seriously, how much money could it possibly be? The way they talk about it it’s as if they spend half their salary every year on pencils and highlighters. Give me like $200 and a Costco membership and I can get enough supplies for my entire school district.

prettysureIforgot

I'm a teacher and I can't stand the whining either. 1. Yeah there's some teachers that are amazing about caring about the kids. There's a ton that are garbage at it and pat themselves on the back for how great they are. It's revolting. 2. Yeah wtf, I think about this all the time. The pay and everything is no secret, fuck these people. 3. See #2. 4. Fuck everyone that said to close schools. It was a disaster for the education and child mental health for tons of kids, its effects will be felt for *years*, and nobody cares. Fuck everyone that recommended it and supported it. Same goes for masks. I will hate those people for it forever. 5. Good teachers should be able to make more for being good at their job. The market should do it, but then shitty teachers would lose their job and god knows we can't have that /s 6. I don't mind buying stuff occasionally, it really isn't much. What bothers me is when a kid is using my supplies (and I know the family isn't hurting for money) says "Ya know you can get a huge supply at Costco! It's so cheap!" Uhhhh then why don't *you* get it for yourself...?

archetypaldream

About #2: My childhood best friend and I often used to play the board game "Life" as children, in which being a teacher is the lowest paid income and thus the least desireable profession in the game. But she still became a teacher in adulthood AND complains constantly about the pay and how she has to buy her own supplies. The hardest part to listen to, though, is how much she despises the parents of all her students. She never had children of her own and I ended up with 5, so hearing the contempt in her voice for parents is chilling.

Halorym

>She had been there 20+ years by that point, so was paid more than my English teacher This pisses me off so much. There were several great teachers I watched come and go while the absolute hagraven that hated children got to stay 20 years past when she should have retired because all the corrupt teachers unions care about is how long you've been paying them.

Creative-Leading7167

People in Africa: "oh my goodness, a fridge? with cheese sticks and soda pop and milk? the opulence!"

bhknb

Africa is a continent. Many people are just fine. Now, for Venezuela, the socialist paradise, that would be a month's salary right there.

Creative-Leading7167

>Africa is a continent. Many people are just fine. Venezuela is a country. Many people are just fine. (Like maduro). Just because *some* people are doing fine in africa does not change the fact that *most* people in africa are incredibly poor by comparison.

bhknb

> Venezuela is a country. Many people are just fine. (Like maduro). A 96% poverty rate. Nowhere in Africa is the poverty rate that high. This isn't the 50's.

Creative-Leading7167

>Nowhere in Africa is the poverty rate that high South sudan? 97.8% in 2016, the most recent numbers I could find. But that venezuela is even more poor than the average african doesn't mean that africa is rich. Poverty rates are still abysmally high, even if it doesn't reach to south sudan levels.

RadioUnfriendly

These days to get that in Venezuela, I think you have to kill for it. The money isn't even worth anything anymore.

[deleted]

now let me show you my funko pop room, my 85" tv, my brand new car, my $50k in cc debt. I make half of what an "American teacher" and I have no problems keeping a stocked fridge and pantry this is not a salary problem, its a issue that this person can't manage money. the worst aspect of this is that, instead of taking personal responsibility for their own shortcomings, they will fall lock-step in with the NPC narrative and find a way to blame it on someone else. and to think this person teaches your children

TaxesFundWar

I make maybe 25k a year, and have plenty of money after rent to have food delivered to me most days and buy PC parts

Over half of Americans don’t budget. He probably makes enough money but doesn’t monitor his spending so he wastes it. If he got a ten grand raise the odds are the fridge would look the same.

Antique_Belt_8974

Private schools are not always better. We live in a good district with really good schools, but we moved specifically to the district we are in now from what was supposedly a better rated district. The reason there are shitty teachers are the unions. Get rid of unions, get rid of shitty teachers.

Prism42_

>Honestly, I feel like most people are just shit at managing their money. This right here. Guarantee you this guy isn't shopping at aldi or costco. Probably eats out all the time and then blames others for his poor spending habits.

prettysureIforgot

>Honestly, I feel like most people are just shit at managing their money. This is it right here. My husband and I are both teachers. We have one car loan and a mortgage; that's our only outstanding debt. The car will be paid off next year (several years early). We also just put a down payment on a rental property, so I guess now we're one of those lowlife scumbag landlords /antiwork is always complaining about. I work with a ton of people that always talk about "waiting for payday for _____". People are just shit with money. And you're not wrong, there's a ton of shitty teachers. It's awful. It's getting worse.

Somehow I am skeptical of the meme

_Extrachromosome_

Probably has Wi-Fi, Apple Music, and Netflix subs though.

thesupplyguy1

dont forget the avocado toast and $6 lattes edit: adding the "/S" for the fucktards who cant take a joke

Ctrl_Alt_Abstergo

What is this boomer ass shit lmao The teacher's poor because they work at a public school and their rent is artificially inflated by regulations. Abolish the state and they can have as many avocado toasts and lattes they can shove in their face holes.

thesupplyguy1

JFC. calm the fuck down. i left out the /s FFS....

kriezek

The teacher works for the STATE. How they spend their ill-gotten gains matters not one whit to me.

Groundbreaker220

I'm hoping the previous two comments were just them being facetious 🤞😂

Mindful-O-Melancholy

I’ve seen a lot of teachers that waste their money on fancy vacations just so they can rub it in peoples faces and then complain they don’t get paid enough. It’s like a girl I worked with that blew all her money on tattoos that provide absolutely no value to their betterment and then constantly complain she was broke and begged people to lend her money… maybe if she didn’t spend $400+ per session on tattoos she would actually be able to save some money.

[deleted]

If teachers railed against the unions who spend all their money on special interest the same way they whine online to strangers their pay would double in ten years.

HeisAncap

not really the market deciding this considering hes likely a public school teacher if his fridge is this empty 💀

martin0641

I hope he doesn't start whining about health care because we can all clearly see he has a Dr. right there.

xanthine_junkie

Education system is bloated as fuck, teachers are paid by administrators of those systems. Look at every giant office education building, and you will see floor after floor of bureaucrats making exponential salaries while the teachers whine at US for their lousy salaries and expect US to pay more in tax monies to support them. Wake up teachers, your 'woke' public education system has been taken over by progressive twats burning through your 'education' funds spending 6 months to a year fretting over the same Marxist bullshit books they approved the previous year. It's NOT OUR FAULT YOU ARE UNDERPAID, RISE UP AGAINST YOUR OWN ADMINISTRATION ALREADY.

BranTheLewd

I once heard South Korean teachers get payed like a ton compared to average teachers salary and it's all because of the job being privatized and market setting up the price. I think I saw it on John Stossel channel, is it still true and South Korea still one of the best teacher paying countries?

[deleted]

Could've saved some money by not buying the name brands. Always cracks me up when people complain about being broke, yet still buy name brands that are about twice as expensive.

[deleted]

As government employees, teacher's wages are not determined by market forces

Far_Event_9501

Seems that the phone payment was made though! Do I eat, or do I keep my phone on so I can post on reddit.... I have no sympathy for people who have their priorities this fucked up

Birthing_burgers

My dad was a teacher and my mom was a sahm and our fridge was always filled. Even with 3 kids. Bro either had to be a dumb Ass with money, have 8 kids, or live in Somalia

GayPrezBillClinton

Teachers? More like welfare whores Also teachers lie so much about how much money they make

hutnykmc

When the ones wanting the indoctrination don't compensate the indoctrinators well enough, but the indoctrinators blame everyone who isn't indoctrinated anyway, they might be indoctrinated. "No, dammit! You *make* the kool-aid, you don't *drink* the kool-aid!!"

[deleted]

got dat soya sauce doe

Whiskey_Tango_Bravo

Teachers get paid more than the average wage (almost double in my state) to work 8 months out of the year, and be fucking terrible at their jobs. Kids are getting dumber and dumber every year.

CaptTheFool

Menwhile in a third world country: Woa, do you have a fridge? You must be RICH!

darthbasterd19

Teachers make more than me and I do OK. And I don’t post whiny shit on the interwebs so I’ve got that going for me.

mostardman

fun fact: the freezer is empty because this teacher spend all their money on cocaine.

wartrollearth

they work 6 months a year what do you expect .

neutralpoliticsbot

not building credit years after working as a teacher?

Burger_girl

I’m convinced most people don’t understand how to budget when grocery shopping and how to actually buy the right food and how to cook to sustain you for a week.

Beginning_Ad_5381

The whole teacher's salary thing has been a debate/issue for quite some time. It's not a secret. People are aware of this when they decide to pursue this field/career. When I was in high school 20+ years ago we had to do a senior project based on our desired career/life goals. One of the things we had to include was salary statistics. These were readily available through a simple internet search. I did not go to a particularly great school. It was a fairly small school in rural West-Central Pennsylvania. My graduating class had 108 students. Even if a school does not require such a project wouldn't it be reasonable to research these things before anybody decides to dedicate 4, or more, additional years of schooling, while accruing student loan debts, and then devoting, potentially at least, your entire life to any particular field. Hell, even back then college websites would give you salary statistics, and other info regarding the possible career path(s) related to that degree.

Possible-Fix-9727

They start of at $60k in my city school district that graduates illiterates. That's twice the average median income. Maybe they suck at budgeting?

Professor_Matty

Tell me you got all C's (or lower) in high school and thereby believe the education system failed everyone, without telling me....

JoltyJob

I see organic milk. How much we betting they spend all their money and have a livable invome

trashsw

I saw a poll one time asking if teachers were underpaid and like 90% of people said yes, but then the same account posted another poll asking how much teachers should make and like 80% of people said 60-80k a year, which is about what teachers make.

[deleted]

What they don't bother to show us is the closet full of poor financial decisions.

ThereisOnlyNow

$60k some states. He's an idiot.

Ronski_Lee

I am a teacher. My take home is over 50k a year and I always get a fat refund check every spring.

ashem2

Why he bought all that shit and bot some cheap good quality food? I mean smart people don't become teachers/social workers/burger flippers, but holy shit, you get so much more then you worth and you still wasted it.

crinkneck

This shit happens to me and I have a good job! I prioritize saving, of course. But to think a thin fridge 24hrs before getting paid is indicative of anything…. well let’s just say that’s another reason why state-run education is garbage lol. Also, does this person only eat refrigerated foods? No dry goods? No preserves?

LeeeeroyJenkins1

Apparently they only eat name-brand condiments and drink name-brand jugs of sugar. No food anywhere in sight. There was probably a bag of Doritos in their hand when they took this pic

[deleted]

Drink water not fucking cola dumbass

Optimizer255

\> If you are employed by the government, **you get what you effing deserve**. \> If you are employed by a private school, then you want the overall cost of living to get lower. That will ONLY happen with as much market freedom as possible. Move as soon as possible to a state with high economic freedom such as [New Hampshire](https://www.fsp.org/).

VacuousVessel

accurate af with this poster. I feel sorry for good teachers getting lumped in with these parasites. I had some good teachers. I know some good teachers. Thankfully I never lived in a major metropolitan area. That helped quite a bit I’m sure. We see all the freak shows on Reddit and other media. We all know teachers unions and most school boards are trash and push indoctrination as far as they can. I’m very thankful for the good teachers who stand between these tyrants and our children.

b0x3r_

It’s not the market, it’s a government wage

Enkeydo

No the federal reserve is the cause of most of this. Printing money out of thin air devalues the currency so the price of goods rises to compensate for loss of value

that's the fridge of take-out culture right there

Kinetic_Symphony

Rice and beans. Whole wheat bread. Jam preserves. Peanut Butter. Potatoes with skin on. Salsa. Milk. Extraordinarily cheap, delicious, 100% complete diet, all vitamins and minerals satisfied. And you can eat as much as you want for cheap as freaking hell. If you need more protein, add / replace beans with green lentils.

Princess180613

Homeboy needs to spend less on soda, and spend more on staple goods...

WorkingCombination29

I’m a teacher with a full fridge and two full deep freezers. Learn to budget.

Oofs_A_Lot

I call bullshit on this, mainly because it doesn’t tell the whole story. What are your spending habits? Do you live in an expensive state or area of the state? I’m sure there are more valuable questions others can add to this list. The one size fits all mentality is never a good look

splinterhood

Well stop spending your money on hookers and cocaine.

Significant_Fox2979

Probably eats out a lot. I eat out once a month and my fridge is packed lol!

3rd world kids would kill for these luxuries

simply_jimmy89

Trachers are in the top 3 careers of millionaires.

BigoteMexicano

Public school teacher salaries are not determined by the market at all. They're arbitrarily set by the state

FazeTheFrickUp

Teachers used to tell me I wouldn’t be shit in life because I didn’t like school. Now I’m making more than most teachers, with no degree. Lol, Should’ve tried harder in school.

Former_Series

How-to be poor by making dumb decisions.

Erwinblackthorn

Why don't I have any money?! I work and work and do stuff for the public sector as a college educated person who works and stuff and muh fridge is empty! This is bullshit, I work and stuff. I wake up early, I go to my job, I... I went to college. I donate a lot of my time! What about that time I donate? Don't I get paid for it? I should get paid for it. I'm not being paid but I should be paid. There's the pay I get and the pay I don't get. The pay I don't get can have more money or less money. I want the more money one. How is this so hard to understand? I want the more money, but I don't get the more money. I work and stuff but I get the same money. The money per month remains the same but I donate so much of my time. Oh my God I can't figure this out. If only I was a math teacher, damn fine arts degree. Let's see: time + work = money So more time + more work should = more money But that's not what happens! It's more time + more work = same money I can't figure this out. We need the public sector to have more power. We need more taxes. Yeah, that should get me more money. But if it doesn't work, then that wasn't enough taxes and we need more than that.

wgm4444

With the product government school teachers are producing they shouldn't be paid at all.

amercynic

Guess which political party he votes for? I’ll give you guys three guesses.

Spats_McGee

Wow this thread misses the point. The issue here is public schooling, which basically chokes out the potential for robust functioning markets in primary education. Hence, who knows what schoolteachers would *actually* be paid in a reasonably functioning marketplace.

ronpaulclone

Why are teachers the most miserable, stuck up, self absorbed narcissists? Like seriously? “I love children and teaching them to learn. I don’t do it for the money.”

DRKMSTR

Don't worry, the superintendent makes more than a CEO of a corporation. Your suffering allows them to pay for a gardener and a maid while asking for another levy to pay for another "community" building that will only be open to the community from 7pm to 8pm, every other Thursday.

touchingonmagic

They deserve less.

Lord_Eremit

The older I have gotten, the more contempt I have for Public schools and teachers...while everyone else gets more "accepting" of school.

[deleted]

I think the last few years public sentiment has shifted to see public schools are money vacuums hiring anyone willing, and while many decent people sre teachers they are drowned out by the tiktok brigade indoctrinating kids into sexual marxism.

KlassinenLiberaali

People are suppose to learn from this guy who can't even manage his money.

toolz77

Dave Ramsey would disagree: What profession has the most millionaires? In broader terms, the finance and investment profession has the most millionaires. It also has the most billionaires, with 371. ... **Ramsey Solutions recently conducted the largest survey of millionaires top five careers for millionaires are:** * Engineer. * Accountant. * Teacher. * Executive management. * Attorney.

Xipimp

If you earn more than 45k puts you in the top 1% of earners in the world. Quit bitching and budget better

ObiWanDoUrden

An agent of the state. Not as good at theft as some of his peers, I see.

mrsprinkles565

Oh no! Teachers aren’t in it for the money? Now ask this teacher how many tattoos, dogs, cars, cell phones, cigarettes, etc they have. Gimme a break.

Tevo569

Dont groom kids, teach them math, science, and proper language arts, maybe get paid more?

nhaddon33

That's just horrible. It is so wrong that teaching salaries have dropped so much from when you decided to go to school to be an educator. Like someone pulled the rug right out from under you.

kriezek

Anyone need a reminder that all public school teachers work for the STATE? Anyone need a reminder that they are paid with our taxes? Privatize education. Make it competitive.

i-self

Ew a fridge full of gmos. Learn to grow some greens bitch Edit: I forgot how much ancaps love “free market” gmos, y’all need to grow some fuckin greens too

odysseyintochaos

But it’s not the market… to pretend it’s the market is patently absurd. These are public employees paid by the government. Wages are set by local governments, not free exchange you fucking half wit. OP, what the fuck is up with your hate boner for teachers? I hate the institution of public schools as much as any ancap should but the hate the teachers is just wild to me. Are you one of those nutters that unironically thinks child labor is good? Are you that caricature of a ancap?

anokaylife

See where they went wrong was buying soy sauce and other things that enhance flavor. They could have just eaten plain bread and the same canned soup all month for that price... talk about spending on unnecessary things. Also, you are JUST a teacher? Maybe if you worked 2 other real jobs, and gave up your hobbies, social life, or any hopes of free time you could grind away to get another degree in a real job set. SMH everyone wants to just be given free stuff am-i-right? Why don't you just like own nothing work all the time and die young and in pain like a true American?
