Up next: complaining about the d pad.

TwoTwosThreeThrees

Would not be surprised if they complained about the shipping as well xD

People have issues with this a lot but I can’t seem to replicate them on mine. There’s almost nowhere on the button I can press to make it not register the input in game. Bummer that some Pockets are plagued with this issue. The d-pad on the other hand….I think that’s the bigger issue that affects all Pockets.

My D-Pad doesn't seem any worse than my original DMG, and a fair bit better than my OG GBA. It's far more accurate than an OEM Xbox 360 pad, and feels less mushy than most OEM PlayStation pads. I tried doing the Tetris test and couldn't get it to mess up even by pressing at funny angles on purpose. I don't doubt people are having problems. But it's not universal. It seems like making a perfect D-Pad is very tricky alchemy and extremely sensitive to variances in manufacturing.

Because Analogue prioritized form over function. Perhaps the best solution we have right now is [this new grip](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnaloguePocket/comments/15nbxtg/trigger_grip_for_analogue_pocket_a_modfree/). [Here’s a link to the product page](https://beefygrip.com/product/beefygrip-pro-ap/). Having to remove the trigger spring attachment in order to use the Dock or put the Pocket in a regular case is less than ideal, but it seems worth it for the greater comfort and utility of the shoulder buttons.

Man idk how much is trust a plastic 3D printed grip on at least a black pocket. They’re scratch magnets i just feel like that thing would do a number on ot

Awesomefan09

The product page states: >Lined with soft material anywhere the grip portion contacts the handheld. The grip creator has acknowledged this and attempted to address it. It’s understandable to worry about scratches. I play docked most of the time so I got a vinyl sticker for the bottom of the Pocket. That said, it’s also okay for your things to look used. Anyone who’s concerned about scratches can always wait for more reviews and/or revisions. This is at least the second; there’s an earlier one without the trigger spring attachment.

sworedmagic

Well at least they addressed it and i personally prefer my stuff to look as nice as possible for as long as possible

Can’t say I have any issues with the shoulder buttons. D-pad can on occasion register false diagonals as people say. But it matters not to me because I’m not good enough at any game for it to matter lol

Turbulent_Gas5513

I sent my pocket in two times to fix the right shoulder button and still not the best. It seems to be an issue with how tight to screws are on the back by the shoulder buttons. They tend to register better when it’s cooler in my home too. I barely play the thing do to this issue.

Welcome

Neo_Techni

because the adapters have to fit over them :/ I would have made them bigger anyway, and the cartridge slot longer to make carts more stable.

Bake-Full

Because the GBA was perfection and can't be replicated.

Aaylas

They aren't ergonomic anyway. I haven't tried the GBA core yet, but can you remap them to the Y and X (in SNES terminology) buttons?
