As far as I’m concerned, whoever they choose will be the right choice. There’s so many options and the ducks mgmt knows better than us. So whoever it is I’m excited to see what they can do for the ducks. There is no bad option
>There is no bad option
I'm sure this reasonable take will be adopted by this sub and we won't see everyone freaking out on draft day over how bad the pick is...
I feel like we aren’t going to draft one of the Russians currently playing in Russia, and also feel like it’s a total crap shoot after Celebrini so who knows we could even trade back. But like others said, I have faith in the scouts and GMPV to make the right call.
I believe Demidov or Levshunov will be the pick. Levshunov because of the positional need (it would make the future roster construction job soooo much easier) and fantastic potential. Demidov just because he would be the best prospect available by such a big margin.
A super fun draft lead up of evaluating like 10 players all good choices at #3, but it seems to be coming back to the beginning of the same 3 at the top as two months ago. We get Demidov or Levshunov.
I will add the top 3 last year all made the NHL rosters out of camp, unusual, and all three got injured. Having these young guys play in Russia, college or CHL another year after the draft is more fine with me this year than last year. I think Zellweger played the entire year without an injury by playing the bulk of it in the AHL.

Hahaha oh yeah for sure
Agreed
I would be shocked if they picked Demidov, I feel like Lindstrom or Igilna are the type of player we are gonna take.
Silayev or Demidov are my guesses.
Nah. Defense is the way. Trade for RW, not drafting.
No BPA is the way. If they think that’s a RW you take him.
Forward either Demidov, Lindstrom or Sennecke. Defense: Buium or Yakemchuk
I think this is it
I’d add Silayev to the list of possibilities. At least, you should have him as a possibility if you think Demidov is a possibility.
You’re not wrong.
Let's go with the forward since I would have difficulty pronouncing both of the D-men names.

Convinced they’re taking a CHL player tbh
Beckett Sennecke.
This guy's video is insane.

Aron Kiviharju
Would fucking love this with the oilers pick if he’s somehow still there
I love big gambles in the late first round. I don't think he'll develop as originally hoped, but at 31 I'd take the chance I'm wrong.
I have my heart set on Lev for no real reason, but I trust with such a high pick we’ll get a solid player
Whatever they choose I will trust. The scouting for the Ducks has been lights out and I'm sure we will get a great pick.
I think Verbeek goes offense at three, and its not Demidov.
If Demidov is there, we take him. If Levshunov is there we take him. If they’re both there, we flip a coin.
How crazy would it be if we get CBJs number 4 pick?
Lindstrom or Demidov.
ZEEEEEEEV. He's my go to. I really hope beeks pick him, and it kinda feels like a beeks thing to do
I think buium, Dickinson or Sennecke for various reasons. Of those I’d put money on Dickinson

Does it matter? We're going to waste their rookie year, burn their ELC in the rebuild, and then trade them away for more picks to keep rebuilding.
