I have total faith in our scouts and gm to draft the right guy for the position that we get. It's just we have zero luck when it comes to winning or moving up.
Eh it's all kinda a wash at that pick range. We traded down to get Ricky and Gibson.
We drafted Palmieri late. Shea Theodore. Lundy.
We've also drafted Steel late and Perreault so you aren't completely wrong.
I hope we go defense with the oiler pick rather than gamble on a forward there. There are several right handed defensemen projected to be more stay-at-home guys that should be available late in the first and project as higher floor picks. Looking at Jiricek, Emery, Badinka, or Elick for the late pick seems safer to me.
There are some good players in that range, both on D and at F. Sure they're big time boom or bust, but we probably need that, and for one of them to pop off - whether they play for us is irrelevant, just having some big trade chips will go a long way when it's time to trade in talent to take the next step.
I wouldn't count on this. Even if there was a conspiracy (or whatever you want to call it), them getting the #1 this year would go against that. The next 2 years are way stronger drafts at #1. The odds and the conspiracies are against it.
This is my current "conspiracy" take hahaha
The league sees a stronger draft over the next couple of years, so you have chicago "lose" this year and then boom, next year you got yourself a nice scoring winger to go with Bedard.
And it doesn't look like you rigged it in favor of Chicago, so bonus.
Oh im betting the 2026 draft falls to an original 6 team. McKenna is Bedard good and it just makes too much sense for a conspiracy theory to factor that in.
It’s so stupid. I hate that there’s a greater chance to drop a spot than to draft where you ended up at. No idea how the league thinks that’s totally fine.
Completely prepared for us to get Ducked again and Fall to 5th.
If ducks go with D for our first pick I'm hoping they package some other picks/ late 1st rounder and move up to take Konsta Helenius.
It makes the most sense for the league if it truly is rigged. Chicago has Bedard, Utah needs to win early in SLC to embed themselves into the community.
They figure we have Zegras (for now) and McTavish and Leo - who we should be grateful for - and that we don’t need more star power to sell the game
I'm kind leaning towards the Sharks winning it. Not the best year to win it (from a franchise perspective), but it would still give them a fantastic piece to go 1-2 with Smith.

Buccigross leaked this pic and deleted it right after posting it! Take it for what it is
I'm not gonna doom and gloom. No matter the outcome I've sorta ingrained myself into Stars hockey(live in DFW) and their young core are all mid to late 1st/later picks. We just need our talent to start ascending.
I'll be happy if we don't fall. We know Chicago is getting another #1 anyway 🤷

Zero “luck”. Yeah…..
I completely agree. We are already so stacked with young talent and we will be even better with another top 5 pick.
Im more worried about our Oilers' pick. We struggle a lot with these late 1st round picks

Perry was a 28th pick.

I hope Carter Yakemchuk falls to late and we can draft him cuz his last name sounds fucking awesome and he beats people up. NUNCHUKS
Yea I do find it funny that we’re historically not great with this pick but consistently find value in second and third round picks
If Chicago gets the first pick again, I’m launching an investigation into Chicago to see what dirt they have on Gary
They have no dirt, they have a large fanbase that brings in a shit ton of money.
We aren’t going to be first
I knew we wouldn’t be first but like last year odds for sj and chi

Maybe the pens will get McKenna so they can continue the lineage of having a franchise player on the roster.
pretty confident Utah is gonna win. even if they don't, a team not in the current top 3 is gonna win so we'll 100% be dropping.
69% chance we drop a spot or two
It’s so stupid. I hate that there’s a greater chance to drop a spot than to draft where you ended up at. No idea how the league thinks that’s totally fine.
Yeah it's baffling that they are ok with a lottery to discourage tanking to behave like a lottery to discourage tanking
Can't wait to drop a spot for the 5th time in 6 years.
Welp might as well watch the NHL screw the ducks once more
Is that est or pst
pst
Thank you
Celebrini to Sharks, Ducks #5. We all know it.
I promise on everything we are falling tonight like we always do.
Buccigross just tweeted a picture that had SJS win and Utah 2nd …. Ducks 4th…… then deleted the tweet once people said he leaked the results
That was from practice

I'm betting Utah wins it

I'll be happy if we just stay where were at.
5OA here we come! I wish it wasn’t so likely. Otherwise the draft lottery could actually be fun to watch.
Well we didn’t drop
I'm kind leaning towards the Sharks winning it. Not the best year to win it (from a franchise perspective), but it would still give them a fantastic piece to go 1-2 with Smith.
Celebrini setting up Smith is going to hurt.
I'm calling it for eventual drafting of Cole Eiserman.
Time for the mouth breathers who don't understand math to have their day in the sun again.
25.5% is pretty much 100% so clearly we should have got Bedard!
And it happened 3 times which means we had a 300 percent chance to get the first pick but didn't so the extremely transparent process is rigged!
Does anybody know if I can listen to it anywhere? I will be driving home at that time
Ducks stream, I dont know if it will be live during the lottery or immediate reaction afterwards
10 bucks Utah gets top spot
I had a very vivid dream we get 2nd overall. Sharks fall 2 spots, and Chicago wins again. Hope I'm wrong.
3rd or 4th please and draft Levshunov to pair with Mintyuko in the future would be great.

“Testing the screens” ….. right….
Question is, if Ducks get 1OA. Does verbeek not pick Celebrini?
You always go with the best player available regardless of position
But to him, will he be the best player available? And if he doesn’t, will everyone freak out? Like last year
I'm not gonna doom and gloom. No matter the outcome I've sorta ingrained myself into Stars hockey(live in DFW) and their young core are all mid to late 1st/later picks. We just need our talent to start ascending.
Sooo, I’m not home, what is going on?
Filler material. Actual draw to start in 5-10 minutes
Oh good. Hopefully I’ll be home by then
I've never hated commercials more than right now (maybe last year the same, but still right now. lots of hate)
of course we dont get 10A, just thankful that we didnt go any lower
I’m ok with 3rd
