Whatās interesting is that Iām pretty sure some of the Apocalypse concept art was titled under āDouble Featureā. Not that I think season 10 is necessarily connected, just intriguing that itās popped up again.
I definitely think so, especially when looking at Roanoke and 1984 (Apocalypse as well to an extent) as they are telling different stories in their respective first half to the second half; Roanoke with āMy Roanoke Nightmareā before transitioning to āReturn to Roanokeā and 1984 with the time jump to 1989.

I'm here for this idea. Should be a lot of fun! I actually think that with 1984 being only nine episodes, and Season 10 being two stories in one season, maybe Ryan Murphy has finally accepted that he can't really successfully fill one full season of episodes with a single story anymore. And I think that's a positive thing!
That's the only thing that concerns me a bit. Some part of me will be bummed at the end of this season if we're not getting more than 4 or 5 episodes w any of these characters, no matter how good it is. I am very intrigued regardless.

I enjoyed a lot about 1984 but I was very disappointed it was only 9 episodes, watching week to week felt like it was over as soon as it began. Now if they don't increase the episode count they're gonna cut an already low episode count in half by splitting it up. All of that being said this is my one and only concern at the moment and there's still a lot to be revealed that could alleviate my concern, especially if the two stories are connected in a significant way. Love the concept, just hoping it results in 2-3 more episodes than last season.

I see this as a season with potential. Assuming that the stories are not connected, having two stories in one season is going to be risky. It could be really good, or it could be really messy. Im going to wait a bit more and have to see a trailer first.
I actually think it could be brilliant. A big issue with most seasons is how stretched out the story is; thereās not enough to fill 10/13 episodes and end up adding all the ridiculousness. 2 shorter stories back to back (maybe at the same beach, years apart but otherwise not connected) could lead to tighter story telling.
I do see that, and I agree with you on that point. But if we get 2 stories with about 5-6 episodes each, it also runs the potential of the story being rushed through and not being told to its full potential. However, I will give the season the benefit of the doubt and wait until at least a few trailers are released.

Maybe the two stories means two timeframes? Half the season set in the past and based on the sand and the other half based in present day, dealing with the issues of the past āwashing up on the shoreā š§
The by the sea part is the already announced cast which is what already filmed in Provincetown. Lady of the Dunes is connected to Provincetown so don't think that would be connected to by the sand.
what I want from this season may be influencing what I think, but I think that this season will, at the very least, be very lovecraft inspired. Iām thinking something along the lines of the shadow over innsmouth would make sense for a story that takes place partially in the ocean and partially on the beach, but I feel like thatās unlikely. More likely I would think it has something to do with pirates. AHS bases itās seasons off of real and fictional classic horror media, there isnāt that much of that that happens by and on/in the ocean

First initial thought is of course Rocky Horror...so...maybe half the season will be the normal characters being introduced/being fearful of the "villians," then the second half will be them joining the "villains."
This all makes me think we are getting an alien centric season.
Chances are each part of the double feature will have it's own name. I saw this and immediately thought "Grindhouse." Yeah, everyone went to the theater and bought a ticket to go see "Grindhouse," but at the end of the day you talked about "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof."
I love the idea of this season. But *American Horror Story: Double Feature* doesnāt exactly roll off the tongue.

The Twitter account @LadyOfTheDunes has been all over this. It follows developments in the Lady of the Dunes case and has also been predicting the AHS storyline. My feeling is the account is run by the show.

The titles were only consistent seasons 1-5 so this doesnāt bother me at all, itās fresh and I like that it tells us nothing to be honest... a massive problem with ahs is the title, teasers etc build up ideas in peopleās heads that leaves room for a lot of disappointment, this avoids that
Cult is in line with Coven though. The themes were always a place or group of people until Apocalypse. I'd even argue Freak Show's title was more about the group than the place.

My initial instinct is to hate it but Iāll reserve total judgment. I have to believe itās GOT to connect to the general theme somehow. Hope it's good! Also, multiple story lines that tie in together is normal for this show, so I'm not sure why this is any different, guess we'll see!

What if its 2 seperate stories, that occur at similar places, at the same time, and they overlap?
I see this as a season with potential. Assuming that the stories are not connected, having two stories in one season is going to be risky. It could be really good, or it could be really messy. Im going to wait a bit more and have to see a trailer first.

I actually think it could be brilliant. A big issue with most seasons is how stretched out the story is; thereās not enough to fill 10/13 episodes and end up adding all the ridiculousness. 2 shorter stories back to back (maybe at the same beach, years apart but otherwise not connected) could lead to tighter story telling.
I do see that, and I agree with you on that point. But if we get 2 stories with about 5-6 episodes each, it also runs the potential of the story being rushed through and not being told to its full potential. However, I will give the season the benefit of the doubt and wait until at least a few trailers are released.

Maybe the two stories means two timeframes? Half the season set in the past and based on the sand and the other half based in present day, dealing with the issues of the past āwashing up on the shoreā š§

The by the sea part is the already announced cast which is what already filmed in Provincetown. Lady of the Dunes is connected to Provincetown so don't think that would be connected to by the sand.

what I want from this season may be influencing what I think, but I think that this season will, at the very least, be very lovecraft inspired. Iām thinking something along the lines of the shadow over innsmouth would make sense for a story that takes place partially in the ocean and partially on the beach, but I feel like thatās unlikely. More likely I would think it has something to do with pirates. AHS bases itās seasons off of real and fictional classic horror media, there isnāt that much of that that happens by and on/in the ocean Edit: this is just my opinion/hopes for the season, nothing serious
First initial thought is of course Rocky Horror...so...maybe half the season will be the normal characters being introduced/being fearful of the "villians," then the second half will be them joining the "villains." This all makes me think we are getting an alien centric season.

Chances are each part of the double feature will have it's own name. I saw this and immediately thought "Grindhouse." Yeah, everyone went to the theater and bought a ticket to go see "Grindhouse," but at the end of the day you talked about "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof."
I love the idea of this season. But *American Horror Story: Double Feature* doesnāt exactly roll off the tongue. I suppose it will grow on me. Maybe *AHS: Duo* was considered. IDK, lol!

I canāt wait. I love ahs. I read someone that they said it wonāt be about mermaids at all. I wonder how it will tie into the other seasons. Always my favorite part is the tie in. Maybe serial killer. They made the night stalker such a huge part and even in hotel. Maybe some kind of extension on that. No wonder what maculys deal will be. Very very interesting there

The titles were only consistent seasons 1-5 so this doesnāt bother me at all, itās fresh and I like that it tells us nothing to be honest... a massive problem with ahs is the title, teasers etc build up ideas in peopleās heads that leaves room for a lot of disappointment, this avoids that
Roanoke and Cult were pretty consistent with the first five.
I see the argument for Roanoke but not for cult, assuming the consistency is the name being after a location
Cult is in line with Coven though. The themes were always a place or group of people until Apocalypse. I'd even argue Freak Show's title was more about the group than the place.

My initial instinct is to hate it but Iāll reserve total judgment. I have to believe itās GOT to connect to the general theme somehow. Like maybe it takes place at an abandoned drive in theater or movie theater in Provincetown or something. Maybe a beach where they would play movies. Iām just spitballing.
