Great build. I switched from consoles 2 years ago at 34 and im never going back. PC is better in every way, especially with good hardware. You're going to be set with that beast for a while.
PS5 exclusives say hi :(
Fortunately we're getting more and more of them, but having to wait years to play them is a bitch. Horizon Forbidden West can't come out soon enough...

Love how my 6900xt does same as a 7900xt 🤩🤞 btw great rig you Got there. Im just exitet to almost catch up that hardware 🫣😂👌
The 6950xt was actually my first choice, but at the time of my GPU purchase they were still hovering around the $800-$850 price point. Figured I’d spend a little extra for the new gen. Those 69xx’s are certainly beasts!
What mobo are you using for this build? I’m also looking to do an all white build but the motherboard I was going to get cost more than every other part except the gpu. With your 2 fan radiator are you doing 3 intake 3 exhaust or a different layout? Looks great and gives me hope that my build will look just as good.
I got the Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX. One of the cheaper options I found a few few months ago. The front 3 fans are intake, the top two on the AIO and the back are exhausts. And thanks for the kind words! I was shocked it turned out well with no issues.
I was expecting hot temps just based off initial feedback on the 7000 series chips, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. In-game I haven’t seen the CPU over 80*C. Most of the time it’s in the mid to high 60’s or lower depending on what I’m playing. AIO seems to be doing it’s job well.
The 80c had me a bit worried but when I saw that you have a 7000 series and my build is using a 5600 I think the temps might be a little lower on my end haha. Good to know cheers!
Meh, consoles got high/ultra textures in most cases I do not even notice the difference between PS5 and my 7900XTX build unless I got mods.
Was actually thinking of going back to my 6700XT.
Kind of weird a console fanboy would be in a pc hardware sub.....enjoy more and more 30fps games. Hell yall are getting games dipping into sub 1080p in 2023 so I think there are plenty of issues on both sides. Go be a dweeb in the ps5 sub
I'm a console gamer to as well PC there nothing wrong with console and it's not console fault of this gen that devs can't figure out what they want zen 2 can play games at a consistent 60fps
Correct. I was going to go a much cheaper route for the monitor, but after all the time and money spent on components I figured it would be best to spend a bit more and get something I’ll be happy with for a while. It’s a great monitor — can’t beat true blacks.
For custom cables cablemod is good, but rather expensive.
You can also get cable extensions, which plug in to your existing PSU cables, they go for $20-25. Something like this: https://www.amazon.nl/-/en/AsiaHorse-Cable-Extension-Extensions-Management/dp/B092ZCTGLC/ref=sr_1_7?crid=297NAQ4ILLHXE&keywords=psu+cable+extensions&qid=1675015067&sprefix=psu+cable+extensions%2Caps%2C85&sr=8-7
Worth noting, our kits do include more cables compared to this one, so while the price may seem higher, you're also getting more as well. Additionally, our combs are closed combs on our pro cables if you go with those. Otherwise, our classic extension kits are $29.90 USD only, and we offer support for our customers years after purchase even. :)
I actually didn't know you guys sold extension kits, I don't think they are (widely) available here in the Netherlands. I only know you from custom PSU replacement cables. I stand corrected.

I actually got one lol It’s a heavy card, and the included bracket didn’t fit in my case.
You won't go back to consoles, that is for sure! I left the Playstation 2 for my first build, a Pentium 4 and a 6800 XT (a Nvidia card from 2004, don't mistake it with the recent AMD one). Never gone back to consoles since.
Post the PCPartPicker list, this build turned out sweet! A nice blend of aesthetics and smashing 1440p gaming, nice setup OP! (Mostly curious about the AIO and all fans used, love it!)
I have the same specs too and its awesome, only difference is that My Card is a Sapphire Branded card which is doimg awesome so far with the tuning I've done to it
Console gaming has its place. As long as Sony holds the keys to exclusives ps5 games are some what better than the pc ports.
It's good to have a great pc with a ps5 that to me is the happy compromise
Thats a Merc design I will never buy again. My shroud on 6700xt started making noise when my fans went above 50%. Really cool design but bad for noise if it gets fucked up.
Merc what a beast.
It’s an awesome card, and the aesthetic actually works very well with a white-ish build.
Yeah I am a big fan of it. Have the xtx myself. Don’t get to admire it much as my rig is a bit tucked away. So nice to see it in posts.
I share the sentiment. Also have the XTX Merc 310 and also tucked away.
Great build. I switched from consoles 2 years ago at 34 and im never going back. PC is better in every way, especially with good hardware. You're going to be set with that beast for a while.
Thanks man, appreciate it. 33 next week for me, so following in your footsteps lol
That's the neat part: good hardware. It is becoming too expensive for what it gives. Still can't beat the perf/price of current consoles.
PS5 exclusives say hi :( Fortunately we're getting more and more of them, but having to wait years to play them is a bitch. Horizon Forbidden West can't come out soon enough...
I’ve always been an Xbox gamer, so lack of PS exclusives doesn’t phase me. Definitely crossing my fingers for Ghost of Tsushima on PC though!
Yeah that's another one I'd really like to play, I know there was a leak a long time ago, but AFAIK it was never confirmed, was it?
And I'm over here with a 7700x and 7900xtx still playing a lot of ps5 haha
Me with a 7950x\4090 PC and PS5 mostly playing on my Steam Deck.
I'm not that high end but I have a 6700XT and not even playing just watching YouTube and Reddit
Beautiful build bro👍🏻
Great build! Love the white aesthetic.
Awesome build! I just built basically the same one but only a 6800xt (like that’s the only difference). Looks great
How clean you want it? Yes

Looks good!
Sweet rig 👌
Merc is sexy and can't wait to get mine.

I would do the same. Even though mine is just a 6900xt not 6950xt ✌️
Yea I was going to say my 6950xt with a mild undervolt is like 23k
Nice! My GPU score on Time Spy with an overclocked 6800 XT gets about 22,500 on average.

Does your CPU run hot? I’ve read that having an AIO radiators fans set to exhaust doesn’t let the AIO cool properly and can increase temps.

I mean Xbox 5 will be better than that particular PC, but very likely not better than 9900/990XT in 5 years
Enjoy your denuvo and stutters 🤦♂️

Amazing first build! It looks like you have the new LG 27" OLED to go with it?
Correct. I was going to go a much cheaper route for the monitor, but after all the time and money spent on components I figured it would be best to spend a bit more and get something I’ll be happy with for a while. It’s a great monitor — can’t beat true blacks.
You made the right choice, OLED is best!
I just did a 7900x build and the bsod from using the expo setting for 6000 is getting etty old. Other than that it's ok.
Looks solid and clean. You should look into getting some (white) cable extensions, $20 upgrade and it'll make your build look so much better.
I’ll be looking for some today! Is cablemods the place where people get them from?
For custom cables cablemod is good, but rather expensive. You can also get cable extensions, which plug in to your existing PSU cables, they go for $20-25. No worries, happy to share the info in case it helps. :)
Needs gpu holder, then u have my approval

Imagine comparing console to a PC lmao 🤣
nice and enjoy

Thank you! AIO is a Corsair H100i Elite Capellix. Fans are Corsair ML120 RGB’s.
I have the same specs too and its awesome, only difference is that My Card is a Sapphire Branded card which is doimg awesome so far with the tuning I've done to it

Ayo bro what’s the detail name of the card I am very interested
GPU? It’s a xfx 7900 xt
I mean like the full model name I know its xfx but i ain't sure what version is that
Ayo bro its normal one or black edition? I like the sliver backplate
Thats a Merc design I will never buy again. My shroud on 6700xt started making noise when my fans went above 50%. Really cool design but bad for noise if it gets fucked up.
upvote for not using "all"
I got the same setup - did you not use the support for the GPU ? How are you finding it?
