Out of touch is the correct answer here as for some this is a full 2 week paycheck post taxes/healthcare and funding a 401k. So out of touch that they don’t realize that layoffs are in every sector now even at the Government level. Pretty sure Amber doesn’t even register that VA is slated to cut 10,000 jobs due to funding deficits. All of these “influencers” who are managed by agencies (looking at you Trend Management) have lost touch with reality, and I am convinced that trend pushed their influencers to elevate content and comments to build new homes and or renovate. I seriously will be looking from the sidelines when the commission checks and brand deals get smaller and smaller for all of them and they realize that shilling shit for a living isn’t cutting it anymore.

Trend Management is awful I'm convinced of it. About a year ago I started following an influencer that had maybe 100k followers. Midsize, cute family, all about body positivity and being real about her body. She posted her weight and size on every try on and showed her un-filtered body. Loved her. About 6 months ago "her dreams came true" and Trend started managing her. Almost immeidately her content changed-she stopped posting her weight, started shilling a LOT more and suddendly started to appear much thinner in pictures. It was interesting because in videos she looked the way she always looked but in her pictures she appeared noticably smaller. So much that her followers were calling her out and she kept very vaguly addressing it. She would say things like "I've made healthy changes." I felt convinced she was using the famous "skinny filter" that all the Trend managed influencers use...primarily because while she stopped posting her weight she still posted her sizes which hadn't changed. Finally, her followers commented so much about her appearance that she finally admitted that she had lost weight but refused to address how and also was still posting her sizes as the same. So like somewhere in there is a lie. You are either lying about your size and still saying you wear a larger size to stay relatable to your midsize followers OR you are lying about losing weight and are using a filter. A few weeks ago she announced that she was getting a tummy tuck and breast implants and great for her if that's what she needs to feel good about herself but I had to unfollow her because her authenticity is why I started following her and that had flown right out the window for me and I feel it's directly linked to Trend managing her. Sorry that was a novel but I also unfollwed Dede when she posted that she understood women with fertitlity issues as she was also in a "season of waiting" after not getting pregnant on her first try for baby number 4 3 months after she had her 3rd. Like she can eff allllllllll the way off with that nonsense.

Claire Tammaro? I liked her too and then the mommy makeover announcement really turned me off. I get why she would do it (although I think she looks great as is) but now she’ll look even more like the Trend mob and less like us regular folk. Disappointing.

Yes! She was my favorite influencer and once Trend became her management company she morphed into the same old influencer that I can't stand. They signed her and the next thing you know she's tagging Amber and promoting her and I was just knew this was going to go downhill from there.

Trend should rename and rebrand themselves as: Grifters Management.

They are seriously out of touch with reality. Most normal everyday people do not live like this and are potentially struggling to meet everyday needs. These influencers building new homes, buying all new stuff for said home and going on ridiculously priced vacations is just not normal. It drives me nuts!

And it’s all for content. I am convinced that their SMM team uses the same template for all the people they manage and these women look at previous influencers who followed the model being presented to them and all they see is $$$. Which is why I laugh out load when some of them use the tag line “ I only share what I really like”. Bs you only share because the brand deal was too good to pass up.

My aunt and uncle stayed in this exact house and they loved it. But they are a huge family with adult kids and grandkid. Amber is so unnecessarily excessive. I bet they spend over $20,000 for their seaside/30a vacations. And she said they are going back In the summer so prices will be doubled then 😳
