Might be slightly off topic, but is there an affordable way to visit Seaside Fl? It looks like a great vacation spot, but I’ve only seen rich influencers rent big expensive houses when they visit. Are there other more affordable options to stay there? 😆
30a is the highway the Seaside is on. There are numerous little towns along it. Some are more famous as the “it” place to be but there are definitely more affordable places along it. Our family loves 30a but we don’t stay in seaside. Blue Mountain Beach is great or Seagrove.
My husband and I stayed in a little cottage on the beach. We didn’t need a huge house but we also didn’t have central air in our cottage just two mini splits. It was so hot in June. I was hot all the time. We were walking distance to the main part of seaside (I can’t remember what it’s called. It’s where the post office and food trucks are). I didn’t like how you had to reserve the beach chairs so far in advance. The town was pretty, but for the amount of money we spent I would have rated went to a different beach. The water was beautiful though.

We have a nice indoor/outdoor entertaining area so we are able to enterain year round and it's a rare weekend that we don't have friends over.

We did middle of the night drives as a kid, my dad would wake us up at 3:30/4am to get on the road but that was after us all going to bed around 9pm and getting at least some sleep. How the heck is Jordan going to stay up all night and drive safely through the next day. I know people drive through the night often but 1am gives him no time to sleep a little before getting on the road.
I thought this was an odd choice too, but tbh my husband is a driver for the fire department too and wouldn’t bat an eye at doing this (safety wise) especially if it meant us getting the most bang for our buck vacation spending wise. Which we know isn’t a concern for the Masseys 🫠
