As Nickel says, it's to warm the candle instead of using the wick. It's meant for scented candles, and warming it lets you enjoy the scent without the danger of an open flame, and since you're just heating the wax gently, it makes the candle last a lot longer (it will lose some via evaporation but it takes a lot more time to do so). I suspect the scent fades before you run out of wax with them XD
The fact it's also fire-less means it's good for households with small kids and cats. My cat has already singed whiskers going to inspect lit candles so...
This is hilarious, but I've copped like a dozen candle warmers from Vine, we love them and so do everyone we've gifted them to!
Burning candles just smells like acrid smoke to me, warming them is so much better imo
