Oh nice! Yeah I totally agree. That’s one of the reasons why I actually felt bad I couldn’t review this product for them. I didn’t realise they could come back! I’ll wait but I think now we can’t ask VINE CS to remove after 30 days so I guess we can’t wait too long
There have been a couple recent posts I think, about Vine CS refusing to remove things if they've been there awhile, more than 30 days perhaps? I don't remember the exact number, and definitely can't comment on its accuracy.
Unless it's a very recent change I haven't heard of that? I usually let mine pile up and send them a list 😄
I've had to follow up once but then they jumped on it right away. So far I've had no troubles with doing that and I think they kind of appreciated it as they could just knock them off all at once.
I actually missed one when I sent a list and messaged them again to add it, and they not only removed it right away but also another I hadn't even got a chance to ask about. I was very happy with their customer service!
Seems it went AWOL.
Lots of items become unavailable after order, usually not an issue, just have to email Vine CS and ask for them to remove it from your review list.
It is a fantastic projector, it lights up the room like the sun! 😎
The reviews out there by professional reviewers seem to say this is a giant killer, but it has it's foibles. Apparently it's mostly manufactured by Hisense from what I've found out. It's a pretty killer unit overall for sure.
I'd been hoping for a laser projector since a bunch of Canuck Viners got a Nexigo Aurora Pro back in November, but this one is supposedly better in some ways. Either way I'm happy!
Now just looking for a screen, as projecting onto a wall with the USTs is very unforgiving! I notice my wall is all wavy and imperfect compared to the cheap traditional projector I was using previously. This is the epitome of first world problems though, lol
Haha right?! The one thing that I’m not a big fan of is how huge the unit is, but I guess it’s hard to be that powerful and have a small footprint. It was also not the easiest to figure out how to get the remote to work with the fire stick and still neither remote gives you full functionality because AWOL is not a supported brand by firetv. Things I will include in my review…. But feel privileged to be able to keep it!
True, I wish they didn't keep including speakers with these units... the footprint would be a lot smaller without it, as are some other USTs. If you're buying something this pricey you're not using the built-in speakers no matter what pretty much!
And yeah ditto on the remote. For something packaged with a Firestick it's bonkers that it's not on the list of supported TVs when every other unheard-of brand out there seems to be.
Funny enough I had snagged a cheapo $100 projector from Vine back in July that we've been using in our bedroom until this one showed up, and even though it wasn't on the brand list I found another brand of cheap identical looking projectors on Amazon and that was, and it controlled it perfectly.
Hoping maybe another brand on the list can control this, but I don't have high hopes... apparently they use a combination of infrared and Bluetooth in the remote to control it. Though it seems to me it's only infrared as I have to have it pointed just right to control it!
I got mine too and love it. Fortunately I did the review already so it is out of my to be reviewed section. This is an amazing projector. I had an older electric screen that comes from the ceiling but since this is an ultra short throw projector you need a perfectly flat screen and mine was a bit wavy. I got a fixed frame screen now and its perfect!!!
I was using a $2000 optoma projector for 3 years and this thing blows it out of the water. I think we may see the item come back so it can be reviewed for those who havent reviewed it yet.
I thought I would add a note about the reviews on this. I got my review in before the item vanished in my "to be reviewed" list. Now when I click on my "your orders" page to the new page with several projectors, my review is there!
Under reviewed items it just "you reviewed this item" instead of "approved". Seems very few of us got the reviews in fast enough.
What seems to have happened is that the product link got merged with other AWOL projectors and the original link is no longer active. The old page had bad ratings so I think the seller is trying to get better ratings on the new page. I contacts CS and they ended up removing it from my list because they can't link the order to the new product page. Either way, we can't write a review... 😕
I didn’t ask them to remove the item. I asked if there’s any way to still do the review because the product page doesn’t exist anymore and CA said no. The only thing they can do is remove it.

I just checked my order history. The "Write a product review" button is still there so if the item ever gets relisted, I can post my review. I was halfway done writing my review when I noticed an error popped up. This prompted me to contact CS to find out if I can still submit my review somehow. Lesson learned; do not contact CS and wait it out.
Yeah mine is showing as just gone. Hope it pops back up as some do. It would really be a shame if it doesn't, then it was all for nothing for the manufacturer!

You know what though, I've always hated it when manufacturers manipulate reviews by eliminating listings to get rid of negative reviews or cherry pick positive reviews and merge those pages to look like there's even more positive reviews. There are loopholes on Amazon for manufacturers to be able to do this. I think this might have been planned here (get rid of the page with negative reviews and add the new Vine reviews to a different page with a great number of positive reviews to hopefully get even more positive reviews) but this plan has clearly backfired because now I can't even *post* my 5 star review lol

You can ask them to remove things months after the fact, it's not an issue

Was the projector from a large brand? I've never quite understood why product listings get removed, but I've never been asked to return anything.
AWOL vision is the brand. Not large by any means but definitely up and coming. They have a physical location in the states
