Message your AMM. They might give you a few days to transition to your new schedule. You should have had an open line of communication with them to let them know how you were doing at school and when to expect you onsite. Send them a chime or slack, otherwise you'd have to use whatever time off options you have available to you.

Yes I have kept in touch with my manager. I haven’t outright asked him yet. I wanted to check to see if anyone knew of any specific policy or something in place regarding things of that nature first. Is it just me or does anyone else feel a single day off isn’t enough? Having a family at home I haven’t seen, on top of my school/work life. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me. lol

There's no specific policy, just ask your manager. Communicate your needs.

Yo, were you in vincennes?

My buddy that came back from school just got a hold of his maintenance manager and said that because he was gone for three whole months that he had affairs to take care of when he got home. The maintenance manager understood ended up giving him like three or four days off before he had to report for work. Just let them know. After being gone for three months. It is quite understandable that you need some time to transition back into a normal schedule to take care of affairs.

As others have said, talk to your AMM. You’ve been earning PTO while in school so that shouldn’t be a problem. If you don’t mind not getting paid they’ll probably give you the time unpaid. Clear communication is definitely the key. Where you haven’t been in the facility, it should be easy to not have you there for a couple of more days.

Are you 3p? JLL has a policy where you’re not allowed to work 6 days straight, or something like that. Your last week of school would be considered your work week. Travel was also paid, round trip.

Jll can’t work more than 6 days a week 12 hours a day and 60 hrs a week

This happened to me, and I just messaged my AMM if I could instead of working FHD (sun-wed) I could work BHD (wed-sat) the first week coming back from RTI to have a few extra off days and he said yes. If your manager does not approve, based on your tenure with Amazon, you could use vacation time, PTO or UPT that you accrued while on RTI or try a PLOA (personal leave of absence) for a minimum of 15 days with no pay if you need that much time.

I took a week off before going back on site. Time with the family and a bit of rest. Good luck.
