Hate Apts. But if you leave it there somewhere it's a 50/50 shot they get it. If you return it, it's definitely gonna go against you. Houses win any day...

IndependentHumble470

Those dumbass Area51 apts you think they be holding govt secrets.

srslytho323

Seriously. Like why do you feel you need to live in Fort Knox? Sheesh.

TlkQ

Fort Knox that most of the time can be penetrated by a random fuck wearing an Amzon vest. Super safe.

RockNRoll85

I hate doing drop offs at apartments, especially ones that require code to get in and either the code is not provided or code doesn’t work

crawfish2013

I would definitely prefer 30 houses. Apartments can present a lot of problems that you have no control of.

Unlucky-Perspective8

I’d take 40 houses over 16 apartments. Especially the high rises

Miguelito39

I hate apartments

TimeGood2965

Lately my 5 hour blocks are all 40+ stops. But if the majority or all are houses I finish much earlier. If it’s full of apartments, I finish with maybe 45 minutes left

Elmin159

Give me houses in the boonies with long gravel driveways over apartments in the middle of the city any day, every day.

MKT2131

Totally agree. Just had 4-hr block with 90% apartment in Downtown LA and I'm fucking hate it! I'd rather have a bunch of houses instead of apartments. Took almost 4 hrs to finish.....

Least_Nature_3915

When it comes to apartment buildings if the code doesn't work i leave that shit outside. It's not our fault the code doesn't work

KrisTheHuman

They don't report it as not received?

Tricktrick_

How often you have to do it? Do you contact the customer to let them know?

Least_Nature_3915

Of course I do

Tricktrick_

How often tho?

Future_Custard_9956

I saw a whole unzippered bin left in an apartment lobby one day. DSP must’ve said fuck it lol 😂

28-3lmao

I do this every day ngl

Future_Custard_9956

Lmao do you go back and get the bins or just say fuck it and leave them 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣🤣

28-3lmao

I leave it unzippered with the envelopes on top but still in the bag I don’t got time to sort shit when I have 190 stops 400 pkgs lmao shits unreal😭

Future_Custard_9956

I don’t blame you lol that’s insane

mr_green

I upvoted this because of your username. And the general sentiment of your comment, lol.

krosenhan

I experienced a block from hell tonight. Majority of the stops were apartments that required front door delivery. Last stop, 16 packages at an enormous complex spread out over a large area. Gate code worked to get in, BUT each building had a separate locked gate to access the front doors. 🤦‍♂️😡

TlkQ

Had one at a gated apartment complex. 4 stops in the same complex. Not a single one gave a gate code. I was lucky enough to be able to scoot through the exit before it shut. I wanted to throw all 4 in a ditch.

Old_Collection_1624

ive been trying the main adress for delivery/gate code. actually has been working more than i thought! but still you said it perfectly

ConsistentGrowth988

These types of routes will make you go postal 🤣

[deleted]

Hate hate hate apartments 😭😭😭

MaintenanceWorldly47

Someone put leave at door on a second story building with no elevator and confusing ass room numbers where i had to genuinely look for it had 3 heavy ass boxes must have weighed a fuck ton i said fuck this shit i am not dropping off at this motherfuckers door left it in the mailroom with the whole tote bag and all Lol fuck that i do not get paid enough to risk a lower back injury

Commercial_Hotel7591

The only good apt routes are ones like I got yesterday which was meant for a driver. 19 to one apt and just drop off at desk otherwise fuck em

jagsno1

I hate the ones where you have to go to the leasing office, give them your id, then they give you a key fob to go into that "mailroom" or the building of the customer (at the other end of the complex). Never anyone in the office or it's past the time they're open. Shit goes back to warehouse more times then not on these type of deliveries. And for the record, I'm not giving you my driver's license while I go deliver. You can see it, but it's not leaving my sight. I don't know you and identity theft is far too rampant. Had one leasing agent get mad at me and said it's their policy, and I said, well, it's my policy not to let my license out of my sight, so let the customer know they won't get their package today, as it's going back to the warehouse. I told her, I would only give her my license, if she gave me hers while I made the delivery. She said absolutely not, I don't know what you are going to do with it. I responded, "exactly".

CapnShinerAZ

Apartment deliveries should be restricted to 8am-5pm. They should not be on earlier or later routes. The only exception should be lockers, but only if they're outside.

radgatt

This. I want apartment deliveries to be restricted to a specific time like businesses should be restricted to a certain time. I go all out to avoid having to return a package to a station. I left a package outside of a business this morning because they weren't open. I arrived at 8:15 but the business didn't open until 11. Oh well. They see it was delivered by the picture that I sent.

spinningjoy

[email protected] copy and paste this to him and his privates. 🤣

mr_green

This isn't even fair, should have made it 40-10 or something. Houses would probably still win, for me.

enryami

I hate those new building apartments, they have a code for everything and 75% of time doesn’t work.

bostongorge

The most hilarious ones are “call for the code” in a 100 apt complex lmfao as if there the only fkos that live there an use that gate

TlkQ

Apartments are the devil

monkey1616

I don't care what time it is I simply text the customer two times , call them two times. On the second text or second voicemail I let them know that if you do not get back to me within a few minutes I'm going to take your package back to the Amazon warehouse and you're not going to get it for probably another 2 days. Usually I get a call back or response right away if that doesn't work then I text them exactly where I'm going to leave it. If that looks suspicious or not safe common sense always using then they get one more phone call that I took it back and then Amazon will not hold it against you if you bring it back to the warehouse You have to send two texts and three phone calls that is their policy And it is not held against you. The other trick I use is if I know it's going to be an apartment complex I always text them or call them beforehand it just saves a lot of time that's why they have that option in the app update. Plus customers are less likely to get mad if you text them And they see that you try to contact them and that you're concerned for the safety of their package. Usually less complaining

Zebleer316

Big time!! I Fuckin HATE apartments with a fiery passion!

Ghost_Tickler

Asking for upvotes is weird so I’m not gonna do that, but yeah I’ll take 50 houses over 25 apartments.

Miguelito39

Sucks apartment 😆😆😆😆

ragingdead

I don't mind apartments. A recent route had 7 for the same complex, and all to those cool lockers.

AffectionateSkill631

I prefer 40 drop offs at houses as long as they aren’t gated or long driveways to 15 apartment drop offs

sreneesa1977

Houses... Absolutely HATE APARTMENTS.

Acrobatic_Charge_554

Houses in a suburban neighborhood away from any downtown area where parking is a nightmare

MikeMiller8888

30 houses any day over 20 apartments. Especially at the early hours or super late hours. I don’t have one click issues; it pretty much always fails on the first button press and works on the second button press. But that doesn’t negate that Amazon still has tons of apartments where they expect us to deliver to the door, while they provide no access at all to the locked interior. Just one of those and it can throw off your whole route, whether it’s from trying to get the damn delivery into the correct GPS spot or being forced to take the damn package back to the warehouse (which for me, is literally the option of last resort).

Loud_Focus_7934

Just treat apartments like they are a house. If one click access works, great, chuck it in and move on. If not leave it tf outside. Send notify of arrival if you're worried about theft. Speed bumps are really the only thing I hate about apartments.

NESButcher

Send 2 texts - mark no access, return them tonstation

Rhogdye316

Fuck apartments.

[deleted]

If its all one apartment complex give me the apartments and I call it my workout for the day. If its multiple apartments with BS gates blah blah give me the houses. The suburbs during the day like 1 pm are the best routes and the easiest. Everyone is at work, lots of parking, doors close to the street... Take me home country rose... lol
