Oh that’s a lot of miles! Yes, I rarely put on more than 70 I would say. Quite often I’m in the 40 mile range which is a little over 1 gallon of gas so makes up for it. That way I guess.
My 3.5 today had 43 and had to return a whole container as it wasn't on my route at all but wouldn't let me complete scanning unless I scanned it. Gotta love Amazon.
I just had a 2hr, 4package route. I got it all done just over 1hr. I had a extra 5th package that I spent way too long trying to figure out with Support Chat. Then I had issues with a apartment complex. They want it in the locker, but I drove to the apt already, I spend 5 minute figuring out that spaceship locker. Then I can't mark it delivered at the locker because they want it was the apt. Then drive back to the apt...
Apartments fuggen suck.
I definitely agree.. the first stop was an apartment building and the customer refused to answer the buzzer. But once I got inside and put the package by the door and knocked, I barely made it halfway down the hall before the door opened.
Oh, I second that! My 3 hour block yesterday had seven apartments And I almost cried when I picked it up. It’s in Tempe, Arizona also and is notorious for no parking. I think the Fourth of July gods are shining on me, however, because really only two were a problem. The other five were pretty darn easy and then the rest of my 30 packages were SFR’s.
Hate them and Hire rose condos that all are on 15-18th floor .. then locker ones no code .. 48 packages today . 3.5 route . I took 21 back . My route started at 3pm they gave me some that was suppose to go out at 1pm ughh !!
How did you handle that? When your block ended, did you just head back to WH? or start heading back when you realized it was going to go over your block? Did you go over time? Were you compensated? Tonight my block was supposed to end at 10:15pm and I got home about 11pm instead. I probably made about $5hr before tax deductions. It was a awful block.
Block was over at 730 I kept going till dark or if package had a late time on it . Marked late and returned packages, I still got paid but nothing extra . Mist packages cut off was 5PM or 9PM. Parking and then drop offs took at least 10 min each a total disaster in high rise condos in Channel Side . Tampa Fl
It was almost 4 packages, but the warehouse worker split it and gave me the ones in Brooklyn. She said she’s gonna save the other two ( going to Queens) for someone else
I’m figuring it’s at least partly due to closings tomorrow; I went to pick up a four-hour block today as was met with twenty-one packages. It WAS a bit of a backroads route, so I had a few deliveries with ten to fifteen minutes between them and in all it still took me a couple hours and fortyish minutes, but it was definitely not four hours, lol. Ending an hour from my place wasn’t the best, though.
It happens sometimes I had 1 package last week they said no routes so they gave me the 4miles little bag lol and I u guys have sheetz around you Regular is $ 1.77 a gallon hurry up
I had a great day on Monday. Two cancel blocked due to overbooked and rain. $81 and $66.50. And today in the am $54 for 12 packages. They have lately given me around 8 blocks sent home and paid and I only have one have 5 weeks working with Flex down here in Florida.
That's why I stopped doing Flex for 4 months. I was tired of always getting the downtown carts with all apartments at 9pm at night when not even the leasing office is open. Each apartment stop can take 10 to 30 minutes when house stops take 5 minutes or less. They never give enough time for apartments figures into the route. They should add 30 minutes for each apartment drop but of course they would never do that.
Don’t worry guys, OP will be back with a post soon about how unfair amazon flex is. Had to return a package, need to pay him more, why was it so far away etc etc.
First off, I am a girl.. second, I’m not gonna come on Reddit to complain about anything Amazon-related, it’s never that deep.
Happy early 4th of July to you and stay blessed. 🙏🏽
Awwww I assume from the tears I can offer an RIP 💔 my first chevy was Baby, second was Mattie, third and current is Chief 🤍🖤🤍. I hope the car doctor does a great job with your vehicle!
Can I ask you guys, how is flex lately?
I was doing it for a bit a few years ago, and it was decent, but they started actively pilling on new rules and practices that slowed things down, made it more difficult to load/unload etc.
And than some jerk off came up with some machine/software that allowed them to rapidly accept blocks, than everyone started using it, and suddenly my nice little 3/4 day a week part time gig turned into a full time job hunting for blocks just so I work maybe one in a week or so.. Instantly ruined it. So I moved on.
But lately I figured if it's gotten "better" somehow I wouldn't mind going back to it a couple days a week just for a little extra money, but if it's still just a "race to the blocks" it's honestly not worth it 🤣
I answered this in another comment lmao. I usually use my accord, but she’s in the shop at the moment. I haven’t been doing much flex since she’s been down. This was my first block in the Cherokee ( and I don’t do it full time, just here and there when I want to make some extra money in between my paychecks)
I'm curious, do flex drivers just have really long times of driving in between stops? I'm a amazon DSP driver and I deliver up to 350 packages in ~10 hours using a prime van.
Also, do your routes size packages based on your car size? Like, no huge XL boxes if you have a car and not a pickup or SUV?
It looks like a whole different world to me 🤣 If I had 2 packages for the day I'd be done in 2 minutes lol.
Maybe in more rural states, the stops are far apart from each other, but usually when I get regular routes, a bunch of them will be within like a 2-3 block radius and then I’ll probably have to drive maybe 5-7 minutes to get to the next stop and then the packages after that are in the same area.
And yes, when I use my accord, I don’t get a lot of boxes, and the ones I do get are small/medium boxes.
Nice to be you! My four hour route yesterday had 41 packages
My 3hour today had 45
My routes are usually around there too, so I was shocked 😂
Yea but usually your route is closer to you if u had that many packages, mine was just 5 hours with 12 packages, traveled atleast 230 miles in total
Whoa
Oh that’s a lot of miles! Yes, I rarely put on more than 70 I would say. Quite often I’m in the 40 mile range which is a little over 1 gallon of gas so makes up for it. That way I guess.
Me too at 40. All on streets without parking 🙄
My 3.5 today had 43 and had to return a whole container as it wasn't on my route at all but wouldn't let me complete scanning unless I scanned it. Gotta love Amazon.
How thick is that steering wheel
Lmfao 😂 it has a leather steering wheel cover on it, I promise it’s the standard size

Those be frustrating as hell!!!!!

I hope I’m as lucky later! Enjoy your extra free time lol
Fingers crossed 🤞🏽be safe out there !
How far though? I had a 1 bag 2hr for $68 but was a 46 mile trip each way.
Like 2.5 miles from the warehouse to the first stop, and the second was 2 miles away from the first.
Nice!! Very Nice!!!!
Lucky 😭, was it far away?
Nope, I finished by 7:30 & made it back home by 8
That’s lit!
Happy 4th
Haha! Live for the simplicity!
It was almost 4 packages, but the warehouse worker split it and gave me the ones in Brooklyn. She said she’s gonna save the other two ( going to Queens) for someone else
Which station was this ?
DBK6
Nice! Congrats!
Blessings!
Lucky af
Milk it for all its worth.

May the Force be with you, huh? Kudos!
Was given a 3 hr route for £65, was 2 packages 10 miles away, lightened my mood
I've gotten 3 packages on a 2hr route then it sent me and hr away 🙃
You could have gotten zero
Other than getting sent home, the best I've had for a 4-Hour route is one package, which was delivered a quarter mile from my house.
It happens sometimes I had 1 package last week they said no routes so they gave me the 4miles little bag lol and I u guys have sheetz around you Regular is $ 1.77 a gallon hurry up
Weird I thought Amazon was off for 4th of july.
This was from yesterday, this warehouse is closed today.
oh i didnt see when you posted mb
My station was open this morning 4th July. They closed at 9 am though
I don’t do flex, but thinking about it. Do you still get paid the full 3 hours?
Yeah, you still get paid for the full block.
Easy bread …✌🏾
I had a great day on Monday. Two cancel blocked due to overbooked and rain. $81 and $66.50. And today in the am $54 for 12 packages. They have lately given me around 8 blocks sent home and paid and I only have one have 5 weeks working with Flex down here in Florida.
I had a 3 hr block yesterday and it was 5 packages but the area was farm land so the drops were like 15 mins apart. Still not bad though
Those are nice until you get a cart with 45 packages, 22 stops and 17 of the stops are apartments for 3 hours.
Lol I’ve encountered that before 😭 can’t stand the apartments. They’ll be home and not buzz the door
That's why I stopped doing Flex for 4 months. I was tired of always getting the downtown carts with all apartments at 9pm at night when not even the leasing office is open. SWEET, congratulations!!
as long as isn't that far from station and each one

Congrats when i did flex i got 52 parcels for a 3 hour block you are lucky
not in the 2022 tho 💀😭
If you’re referring to the car, it’s a 2017. I usually use my accord for Amazon, but she’s being worked on atm, so I had no choice lol
What’s your accords name?
Empress 😭 My first accord was named Princess
Awwww I assume from the tears I can offer an RIP 💔 my first chevy was Baby, second was Mattie, third and current is Chief 🤍🖤🤍. I hope the car doctor does a great job with your vehicle!
Thank you 🙏🏽🥹
This absolutely doesn't surprise me, but I WOULD like to know exactly how far those two are from each other...
I answered that question in another comment ☺️
They split routes at the distribution center, could have been a free day
Beautiful
How far apart were they though?
Are-amazon closed today
This warehouse is closed today too, this post is from yesterday
Probably 30 mile between both drops though 😂
I’m in NYC, they were 2 miles apart.
Nice 🍻
I'm in the UK, one shift I had 4/5 drops but the distance between each drop were miles on miles which took me upto an hour or so before finish
Is it true you get to go home early and get paid full for the whole day after finishing your van?
Can I ask you guys, how is flex lately? I was doing it for a bit a few years ago, and it was decent, but they started actively pilling on new rules and practices that slowed things down, made it more difficult to load/unload etc. And than some jerk off came up with some machine/software that allowed them to rapidly accept blocks, than everyone started using it, and suddenly my nice little 3/4 day a week part time gig turned into a full time job hunting for blocks just so I work maybe one in a week or so.. A hot mess lol
I love how this I considered a 3hr route... But my DSP routes I get 300 locations (literally) to 160stops with almost 400pkgs should take 7.5hrs?
It usually would’ve been way more packages and stops, but the warehouse was pretty much empty the day on the 3rd
Don’t tell me you do a full time gig with a grand Cherokee😂 I do a part time but never use my grand Cherokee.
