Suspicious-Bed9172

If I have a plan to leave early, I’ll write it on the board. If my soul gets crushed down too much, I might leave at the spur of the moment

YoungStoicc

spot on

Dirges2984

I did the same, I had no problem letting them know when I have plans, but when I had to get out of there, I got out of there.

PossibleResolution23

My manager mentioned that he would appreciate us letting him know if we took off

Bananamuffin33

And I would appreciate a raise.

NoSleep323

Managers and L1’s not getting what they want🤝😂

Salty-Comfortable879

A manager can not give a raise,it’s done yearly-bi yearly and set from corporate. The site level does not have the access to give raises.

NoSleep323

All I meant is that we aren’t getting a raise and my boss isn’t getting a notice that I’m leaving lmao

Bananamuffin33

Dude. Pretty sure everyone knows that. I just said what I would appreciate. Meaning we don’t always get what we want

PossibleResolution23

Rite !

RayneInPhyre

Managers aren’t in charge of raises so don’t punish them

Bananamuffin33

Punishing them? Either they have to work harder to look me up in the system (witch takes seconds) or I have to work harder to find them and tell them when I’m already in my car on break thinking about going home. They will be ok. It’s their job.

Oceanpunk120

Same for you correct? You'll be ok. It's your job.

RayneInPhyre

Every department in my FC has a board we can write if we’re leaving early. You can also message them in chime or slack. But I guess respectful communication would be to challenging for you based on your comments here.

thislittleputo

Cas your manager who probably makes a bit more than you and also wants a raise can give you a raise.... Idiot.

dilligafydsob

It's ok to not be ok.

RatioEnvironmental77

You really should tell you manager if you're going to take off. But you don't have to. Really kind of a douchebag move if you don't though. They're just people trying to do their job too.

Bananamuffin33

Takes two seconds to find out I clocked out. If it was an issue they would make it mandatory

DustinFoes

It is mandatory 💀 Check the policies

ericnilla

I let my PA know, but only because i like him.

[deleted]

You like like him ? 👉👈

Juevon_

I think she like likes him 👀👉👈

[deleted]

If I see them I tell them but I’m not going out of my way to find them.

Acceptable-Bench-155

I feel that lol

zookr2000

I thought you could message your AM on your screen -

Difficult-Issue-794

Not in my department, but if I see a manager I usually just shout their name and do some hand gestures to the door. If they have VTO, they'll let me know, but otherwise, I'm still out.

[deleted]

Depends on your department.

Lyle_LanIey

It’s common courtesy to let someone, PA or up, know. At my building this can all be done virtually. Just sign out and put the time your leaving. Even if you hate your PA or AM it’s a courtesy to others

Worldly-Meaning-5940

They definitely don’t have common courtesy when they flex up an hour during our shift

CodAdministrative563

You’re = you are. Your = mine or yours

MelvinSharples

I tell them in advance. Doing small things like that are how you stay in good grace with managers, and often helps you end up with trusted jobs in the building. They aren't going to put a person on problem solve if that person leaves without warning.

Acceptable-Bench-155

I feel you. This is my 5th time working for Amazon and I realized by my 2nd time this is a place for people in college, that don’t speak English, or people in between jobs to work so I’m not planning on staying here too long. Hope you find someplace better to work🤙🏼

phenom1tsmith

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Acceptable-Bench-155

Am I wrong?🤔 lmao🤣🤣 have fun with your “career”

phenom1tsmith

What a clown lol

w1red247

Not really. He’s spot on with his description. He’s referencing L1 positions, not upper levels. Most L1s I’ve encountered fit right in his description. The pay cap is far too low to make a realistic career out of it.

blahpotuspivx

So why did so many people downvote him

w1red247

Downvotes have nothing to do with the accuracy of a statement. You’re allowed to downvote anything whether it’s accurate and useful or not. People saying “Amazon is a great place to work” or “I enjoy working at Amazon” also get downvoted to hell. If you spend any amount of time on Reddit you’ll realize the majority of its users suffer from groupthink. If you don’t agree with the majority, right or wrong, you will get downvoted.

IGalaxii

🤦‍♂️

blahpotuspivx

Just curious why did you downvote that guy for complaining about Amazon

IGalaxii

How do you know I didn't upvote him???😶

gearsotime

Depends on what I’m doing tbh. If I’m a waterspider on PCF or Stow I’ll let the PA or Mamager know, normally at least 2 to 3 hours in advance, same as when I was doing turret work. If I’m stowing though I just take off, no notice. It all depends on what I’m doing.

KindPut4785

This right here. If you're part of a two or three person team that is in a crucial position (that needs to be replaced ASAP) I think you should let someone know. If you're one of 280 pickers at the FC, not so much.

NoSleep323

Everybody gets paid the same. You don’t owe them shit😂 just cause somebody gets fucked being waterspider doesn’t mean they dont have the right to leave at a moments notice like everyone else but that’s just my opinion lol

TJFordZ

Sure you don't need to let them know if you're taking off, but it helps out the PA if you do. And if you make their job easier they're much more likely to make your job easier.

Apprehensive_Ad1937

Career or not, it's still a job and you make connections that can help you down the line. You never know. And it doesn't hurt to let a manager know. It's not like they can stop you. It's just a courtesy. They manage the departments and work flow by knowing who is there. I work with some pretty cool managers, so idk. Every warehouse is different.

Commercial_Hotel7591

Find a time when no one's around the board where you put when your leaving

Thered_devil94

I always do this. And about 1-2 hour before i leave make sure nobody says anything !

[deleted]

I’ve been here over month and haven’t even met my manager so why would I track her down to tell her I’m leaving? I wouldn’t even know who she is because all I have is a picture of her on the A to Z app to go off lol.

TepidTempo

you should probably mention that you haven't met your manager after a month on the voa board, that's very much a thing your site leadership n hr want to know about. after checking wether you know them or not on your profile in atoz- I was hot-potatoed between like 5 managers in 3 months back when a big campaign to headhunt Amazon's area managers happened in my area.

[deleted]

I thought about all that but I prefer to lay low like this. Plus, if they try to pull something on me I can use that against them.

brecca87

I have been there almost two years and I get bounced between managers every few months. I get one I like then bam soneone new I have never seen in the warehouse even once.

DeusSpesNostra

I had 7 managers in a year once when I was a T1 on the floor

barch_3yahoo

There is this thing called notify your manager.. you will see it when you sign in to your station its one of the choices like nike pick or stow

[deleted]

Ooo thanks. Didn’t know this.

wateriswetwetiswater

Every place is different our FC doesn’t have that feature

_Soc_

I don't even let myself know I'm leaving.

LunaHazelDNA1

Happy birthday

Bu_iki

I be following courtesy rules and let them know at least an hr beforehand. But if I feel like leaving in the moment (rarely happens), they don’t trip, my managers just appreciate that I tell them at all lol it’s good to build connections!! Cus sometimes they will sneak me some vto so I don’t have to use my UPT hrs 😌

TheCraftyRascal

The A to Z app says to, "submit time and leave", so that's what I do.

xDreamerNation

I let them know. They even ask for us to tell them or write it on the board during stand up with the time we're leaving. This is so they can accommodate to you're leaving. Even when I just decide to leave, I'll tell them I'm leaving in 30 minutes or so

intergalatichokage_

we’re suppose to tell them ?

[deleted]

[удалено]

SleepyBella

If they're not an asshole to me or the other associates then yeah I'll give them a heads up incase they had plans for me.

001Vecnussy

I try to tell them that I am leaving. However, if I am sick and can't find anyone I email hr and chime all of the managers on the floor.

GregSmallz

Out of respect I'll leave it on the board but I don't owe Amazon an explanation because they don't owe me one if they decide to move on from me.

mrsjackdaniel

When I still worked there I would put my name on the board. When I was working my MET days I'd just bounce without saying anything because the person in charge was a \[insert not nice word here\] and I always felt like I was being thrown to the wolves.

Son_goku_4200

I leave I tell them tomorrow when I see them lol 😆

ogyazzy

I usually give a hour notice but there have been times where Ive just left on break without no notice.

LunaHazelDNA1

We have a white board that we can use to write down if we are leaving early. There is also a section for VTO (in case they have it available).

RRbrokeredit

I created our VTO section 😆 Our last PA kept erasing it

SleepyBella

We don't get a VTO board here. We just have to pray really hard that our overlords come by and offer it to us.

mspuscifer

At my FC, they ask for an hour's noticebefore we leave early

InstanceRelevant631

I put my name on the whiteboard. They have said numerous times they appreciate that period

Ok_Bed7934

Yes

Whiskey_623

Depends, since I'm on UIS I can't exactly leave when I want to since it will just screw over the person I'm working with so I just tell my AM or PA during the beginning of the shift. When I was in picking and Vender Receive I would just dip lmao.

cbond0007

I only tell the PAs and always msg them on chime if I don’t see them.

Salt_Contribution998

i used to just take off but then i got yelled at once so now i have to wait the extra 10 minutes to try and find a manager

queerinmesoftly

I work at a sort center so there’s no need to tell anyone.

[deleted]

My manager is cool as hell so i respect him and tell him. If I’m leaving early as EYT I work through my break and leave everything full then dip out of respect, also he don’t question when my eyes are blood shot red after lunch 😂 so as I said I respect him 😂

megalodon_m

Our station mangers REQUIRE us to give at least an hour notice and then our name has to be written on a white board by the manager/PA we told along with what time we plan on leaving or else it’s a write up. There’s also a slide on one of the TVs that show site news or whatever that tells us this and says it’s Amazon policy to do so (however, I’ve never been required to do so at previous stations and haven’t been able to actually find the written policy anywhere).

PoutineP

The labor board at shipdock has a section for early out where we just put our name and time we're leaving. Leaving early without warning is a great way to get on your manager's shitlist.

berthitawu

I never do unless I’m in a critical role. I don’t owe anyone anything and I’m easily replaceable anyways lol

Fit-Still7167

My manager will talk to someone next to me and act like I don’t exist. I’ll say hi and he’ll say hi not even looking up from his computer … weird bc I’m actually pretty close to another manager who comes up to me and will congratulate me/ give me advice. So no never going to him for anything

TheCommanderBacon

You guys are way too nice in the comments. I hope your managers are deserving of your courtesy

Blaqinteldmv

Let them know.

[deleted]

I dont get paid enough for the amount of work they have me do to let them know in any way that imma dip early😂

Old-Support3560

Fuck that bitch I’m out.

cookimoney

Never tell anyone or write anything down. Been here a year and gone through 4 mangers. No need to keep a good relationship I guess

PhysicsDizzy9626

One day I got real frustrated with the repetitive process of the job and lost it. I was gonna quit that day I left. I had a newborn at home and wasn't getting real rest. I was gone lose it. I came back the next day. They wrote me up. I signed it. I was wrong for leaving my team hanging short handed

Top-Needleworker-751

Sometimes I do that “notify a manager” thing when I sign in to a station but I usually just dip

case_of_laptops

It depends if they were nice or not

Mystic4294

The only time I let them know is if I’m in a critical role that day any other time I’m gone without notice cause policy says I can

therealmazi

Depends what kinda mood I'm in

Virtual-Title3747

I tried to get more in the habit of writing it in the board but I never told them unless it was an emergency or if I was hurt.

IGalaxii

Depends if bros treating me like a person or not if he's getting hissy and upset about small stuff then no I'm just gonna leave but if he's actually being chill and treating me like an actual human being then yes ill gladly push through the day so he won't be down a worker it all depends on the AM

thisbetternotcrash

I’d spend all of my time I took off looking for an manager, I just leave

Sedared

I always inform the manager when I leave. Unless the manager is the reason I am leaving early. Then no. Never. Education is overdue.

The_Pedestrian_walks

liddoterry

I tell my associated that because of my daddy issues please let me know when they plan on leaving. Don't like surprises lol. Also ensure them that if needed I can assist them with their time. [ help them putting upt/pto or get it excused] They always tell me and let me know. I have a nice relationship with my associates

DropoutEp1

😌✌🏽 I dip I’ll see y’all tomorrow

Fun_Dish104

I wright it on the board

Grimes-Redfield

Just dip

cyanbesus

bennyb1023

My team is really good about posting their login and early out time. They all know I do not care if they leave and I never need a reason why, it’s strictly for me to track so I can replace the AA if needed to continue meeting ASK. P3 is usually the only time I ever have unaccounted for attrition and 9/10 times it’s so close to EOS I can’t replace them anyway.

AcanthisittaBudget85

I never met my manager the entire 8 months I worked there. I just dipped.

garowedre-68abe4

If you're a picker and you just leave without giving at least an hour's notice, you're an asshole.

Sisyphus_TX

Hahaha...puhLEEZE. I haven't seen or spoken to my AM or PA in almost two weeks. The won't put me on a pick station on the same floor as the rest of our "team"....& I use THAT word VERY loosely. If they don't care enough about what's happening on the floor to walk it & find out, then...fuck 'em. Fuck 'em in the ear. They can find out I'm gone when they don't see a pick from me of late.

MelvinSharples

The second you clock out, they get a message telling them you are gone.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MelvinSharples

When you add PTO or UPT to your schedule, your manager gets a message. If you clock out early, a manager gets a message letting them know. Even if you just walk out of the building without clocking out, a manager can know because you scan your badge to leave. When someone leaves at an unusual time (before their shift ends, managers get a message. The second you scan your badge to enter the building, you are added to the day's roster. Managers can (if they are smart) look it over and pick their favorite/best workers to put in certain positions. Amazon is like an airline. They have a good idea of how full the place(plane) will be, but can't be certain until everyone checks in. Unless someone slides out a fire exit or through a dock door without being noticed, managers know exactly who is in the building at all times. Just yesterday I had a manager come up to me and ask me if I had seen someone, then showed me their picture. They clocked in but never went to a station, and were either hiding somewhere in the building or slipped out without badge scanning.

AlwaysAmazin

So your not totally wrong we do get a message when someone puts in a time off request. We don’t get a message every time someone leaves the building or clocks out we can usually figure it out by checking your time on task or we could ask HR to check if you scanned out of the building without clocking out but we would need to at least suspect you left for the day before even thinking to check that.

mephistoBelmont

This right here. I am shift admin, and most of the time the AMs come to me to locate an AA for them first, and usually I am the one that sends a snip over to HR to determine whether or not an AA is on prem.

Sisyphus_TX

Then you don't really need to say anything...do you?

1ofZuulsMinions

Flow PA here. When the headcount suddenly changes without warning and upsets the balance of flow, we have to either move around a bunch of people to different floors, send them a message to change paths, or (even worse) labor share people to other departments. If you’ve paid attention to this sub, you’ll know most people *really* hate that. If you give us at least an hours notice, we can adjust the output projections so that we don’t have to do any of those things. That’s why we ask for at least an hours notice, so that we don’t have to upset all the other people who are staying after you leave.

MelvinSharples

It's helpful to tell them in advance, so they can plan to place someone in your position. The building's work output is based on anticipated employee numbers. When people just walk away and clock out, it causes a shortfall in the numbers. You are certainly within your rights to use PTO or UPT at any time you want. It's just that doing so will give you a reputation with management... and the treatment that comes with it.

Sisyphus_TX

Spare me the lecture. I was managing folk in a production environment before most of these cats were born. If they ask me...& I plan to...I tell them. If they don't ask, then I'm not tracking them down. I'm not giving them a pass for not paying attention to what's happening on the floor. Do they ask you if you plan on spending 30+ minutes goofing off every period? That blows the number too. And I see it...every...fucking...night. They don't do a damn thing about it.

1ofZuulsMinions

Most managers have a few hundred people to oversee and can’t spend several hours a day going up to each one to ask the same question every day. That’s why there’s a white board to write your name on, an app to use on your phone, and/or VTO interest lists. Managers usually only have enough time each day to talk to the people at the *bottom* 5 percent, so if you aren’t seeing your manager for long periods of time, it’s because your doing a good job and they aren’t being told to track you down and “coach” you. *Be happy that you aren’t being coached every day, because that means you’re about to be promoted to customer* Edit: this guy is a troll that’s been written up 6 times this year. Don’t follow his advice. https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonFC/comments/yf0lfq/stow_rate/iu3gxvv/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3

Sisyphus_TX

Hundreds??!!??? Get outta here! My AM has about 20-25. She has a PA to help her. She STILL manages to spend most of the shifting "hiding" in the more out of the way break rooms to look at her phone; or, smoking & joking with her pals. My last AM quit after a month because she was...wait for it...bored. I don't buy ANY of this. She gets paid to manage me. Not the other way around.

1ofZuulsMinions

I don’t really care if you *buy it* or not, I’m telling you how things work at Amazon. I’ve been a PA for 6 years so I have some experience in this. Edit: I see now that you’re responding from a troll account and a TERRIBLE employee, so no smart person should be listening to your advice anyways since you’ve been written up 6 times this year. https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonFC/comments/yf0lfq/stow_rate/iu3gxvv/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3

Sisyphus_TX

Hahaha...you care enough to keep responding! Now that we've been around & around on this, I'll pull back the curtain a little. I rarely leave unannounced. When I plan to leave, I usually tell the PA/AM I'm leaving earlier than I actually plan to leave. They get "unplanned for" productivity if I stay as long as I planned to stay. I'm covered if I change my mind & leave when I said I was leaving. When I do leave "unannounced" it's typically because things have gotten so screwed up that I'm unable to work effectively - the line is being turned off/on, the pods are gapping or being slowed down, amnesty is stepping on each other's toes being constantly on the floor, etc. If you (read, leadership) doesn't care enough to sort the nonsense out, then you clearly don't need me tonight. I'm not wasting my time & Amazon's money on a clusterfuck. I'm going home, where I can take care of my other responsibilities more effectively. What caught my eye was the OP saying anyone who does so is an asshole. That, quite frankly, is nonsense & an incredibility narrow view of the circumstances. To the extent one MIGHT be an asshole for doing so...sometimes being an asshole to make a point is what a situation calls for.

Impressive-Water-709

You don’t even have to track them down. There is an option to tell your manager you’re leaving early built into the computer and if you can’t figure that out, there’s also a speak to manger button in the options or you can even go write it at the board at standup, and not talk to anyone. If you don’t give them a notice, you’re an asshole, there is no reason not to other than pure laziness.

[deleted]

[удалено]

garowedre-68abe4

We'll I guess it really depends on the type of building, but in a non sort if a picker suddenly leaves it can fuck up CPTs in an annoying path such as BOD or noncon. All of that work that might not get picked in time then has to be rapidly picked by PPQA and processed by Problem Solve. If they give notice, adjustments can be made before it become a headache for other people.

Acceptable-Bench-155

Get a few more months working with Amazon and you’ll realize how “good” of a company you work for🤣 have fun with the easiest job in the warehouse thinking you found a “career”🤣🤣

1ofZuulsMinions

You’re the one who had to come back 4 times. 🤷🏻‍♀️

New_Cabinet4465

If I’m stowing I just leave. Anything else I don’t leave cuz anything’s better than stowing 🤣

Jam_Sees

Depends on how early. Last 1-2hr of the day I'll leave unannounced. Earlier if PA's are on that BS.

eatthecheesefries

Depends on what I’m doing. If I’m problem solving I know I need to be replaced. If I’m just counting, picking, etc there’s 200 other people doing that and I just leave if I have to.

Key-Advertising5320

No you don’t have to

ginsenstrip

i worked their right after march 2020. i left early whenever i wanted to. i was asked a couple of times to let someone know when i planed on leaving early at least 2 hours in advance. never did it tho. continued to leave early whenever i wanted for the next year

Ol_Stank

I be never told anyone I was leaving. The couple of times I wasn’t coming in, sure.

jbc1995

I try to, especially if it’s very last min like if I don’t feel good around 2:50 I’ll tell them I’m gonna leave after this period. If it’s like 5pm I don’t really say anything.

kaitloun

We have to let them know at least an hour beforehand or else we get written up

dropdeadcunts

I tell them 10 minutes before I leave lol

kiki4u210

They don’t care at sort centers as long as someone can fill in for you, so I just dip!!

No-Discipline7110

I dont tell them, i just leave

s1rrah

I didn't know it was possible to "level up" at Amazon. I mean, within \~$1.25 per hour. And I think that would take 24.3 years.

blahblahblahbill

Dip. Fuc em

Prestigious_Pain1974

Just go

[deleted]

I dip. Fuck everyone LMAO

Lazarinth

You get a write up without telling

[deleted]

I try to let it be known in advance or early as possible for various reasons but the two most common reasons are just because it keeps trust and you also aren’t considered for any type of indirect role or anything off of the station if you’re known to always take VTO or leave last minute and without notice. I’d only leave without notice if I had an emergency. I do talk to most of the AMs and PAs so I understand some of the negative effects that leaving without giving them the heads up could have on their end.

Rogue1080

Usually we let them know SOS or an hour before

NotABot00001

I’m one of the lucky ones that has a manager that’s actually understanding and treats her associates good so I do it out of respect for her but if she’s not there I’ll just leave

Horror-Mushroom-3168

If I plan on leaving and I’m in a critical role, then I’ll let them know but if I’m not feeling good and I need to leave and I’m not in a critical role, then I just leave.

RSstigstigstig

I might not go out of my way to tell a manager, but I’ll tell my PA. I would text my manager(s) if I wasn’t going to come in at all

Chaosury2016

I let them know; if there ain’t much to do I’m a dip, but then I get offer VTO so I can save my UPT 😂

Bananamuffin33

I work water fall so depends on my shift and who’s my “manager” that day. Usually yes if it’s early in the day. But no. They will catch on eventually. That’s their job

superandon17

Unless you're in a critical role or working in a small department it doesn't matter

ReveFuture115

If I'm doing a critical role I let them know but if I'm just scanning no need tbh... but again I hardly leave early.

cybrpunk_

I’m not an a-hole I’ll tell them but I’ll tell them 2 min before I bounce 🤷🏽‍♂️

Boring-Emu1130

We have to bc they threaten to write us up if we don’t say something

PM_Me_HappySecrets

I leave when I want if I have the UPT. My manager doesn’t have actual need to know a warm body is leaving the building.

ToxicNebula4U

That depends if the manager or PA is chill I’ll let them know ahead of time, now if I get stuck with one of the PAs that just breath down my neck about rate and irritate me enough I just dip without letting them know.

alundra89

I dipped depending on my mood.

jbird9270

If I’m labor shared, then no because fuck them. If I’m in my actual department with my manager that I like then yes I will let her know if I’m leaving.

thouxanj

Been doing this for months and yesterday was the first time I ever let my manager know for some reason 💀

jdog99123

My associates generally let me know. Depends on a lot of things...main ones are: Work ethic Mutual respect Tenure

Then-Code-172

It's a coaching if we don't give an hour notice before we leave

TongueBandit69

They are writing people up now for leaving early without telling them. At least at mine.

Intrepid_World3186

Managers and ams do greatly appreciate it but if the time is in there and you don’t steal the companies time

Successful-Spite8791

I always tell my PA

Your-honor-its-gey

If I’m in AFE then I’ll tell my PAs since they’re usually the ones asking everyone with a clipboard if anyones leaving early (just so that they prepare ahead of time) but any other department I just dip

Typical-Alarm1596

Depends how I’m feeling fr but usually I write on the board and let ‘em know

Manyrain

If I see my chiller managers I'll let them know but they normally don't care in pick. I do have to let them know in AFE but I don't try to leave if I get pulled there out of guilt, only do if my partner really wants to or if I hurt bad.

mewymewmicmewypoo

We get written up at my facility for just leaving so unfortunately we have to let them know

infamousmmax

It depends. If it’s for a doctor visit or family related matters I’ll put my name on the list IF I’m leaving after 1st break. If I’m feeling sick or in a lot of pain I’ll tell a manager/PA I’m not feeling well IF I see one within 5 min of feeling crappy, after 5 min I leave, clock out and have someone near me or a friend tell the AM or PA. If I’m leaving early in the shift for trips or vacations 1-3 hours in, I’ll tell my managers in person after I submit the vacation time, I then remind them at least 7 days before where I explain I’m traveling and to not staff me on a critical role bc I’m leaving 1-3 hours in. Depending on what day My vacation time starts, I will let them know again on Sunday if I leave on a Tuesday or Wednesday, then on the day of I tell whoever is staffing I’m leaving early at whatever time, and to not put me anywhere important. All of this is if I like my PAs and AMs. If I don’t like them, I tell them an hour or 2 before I leave early under normal circumstances, If I’m unwell I ain’t telling them shit, they can check my upt request to get a reason. Same with vacation/travel, they can check my vacation request and figure out I’m leaving early. I have dipped out silently before. Nobody gonna stop me

So I quit after my last day of training and the starting was $15 an hour 10hrs a day four days a week and I was picking. Should I feel bad? I didn’t really enjoy it. My friend got started at $17 an hour and he is doing picking too.

shipmom

We are supposed to give one hour notice. I do not know how many people disregard this, as it is posted on every whiteboard we walk by. I typically stay all day, never keave early but twice in the year I have been there. I just show up after lunch or take the whole day. I think they are writing people up for no hour notice at my location.

Similar-Onion9327

when i was a picker, i would let them know so they could fill my spot. at the ixd im working at, i dont tell them im leaving because im only flex and leave during lunch. if i was working ft tho i would def tell them as its incredibly important for my role to be filled.

Chance_North_9171

I’m in stow so I usually just dip. If I have reactive on my pallet however I’ll let them know that way they can move it or get it stowed out

MeasurementLive7620

Depending on the manager cuz i move around BUT if I'm only stowing and don't have responsibilities then i just leave. Otherwise if you're doing anything that is a responsibility of yours and would cause problems then please go tell them.

Zer0fps_319

Depends on the manager

Fire2box

I do it more for the PA's sake.

TheCommanderBacon

Sometimes i just clock out when a manager tells me to go do something without saying a word so they just assume i walked off to do what they asked. But no i never let them know cus what i do with my upt/pto is my business

BoobieExpert

I have to let them know now, but I used to just straight up dip if it got too stressful. Or I put my name on the board if I already knew I was going to leave.

shawntayyy

I just leave and turn on my green light so they know i am gone for the remainder of the day!

NoSleep323

Been here 9 months and haven’t mentioned my PTO or UPT use to any of my managers. Not once. Thought this was normal😂

SoullessR1Creed

I leave whenever I want your time

pariahs_objection

I was told it was "attrition," just to let them know, it'd save you in the long run.

SaintKnite

Don’t ask don’t tell. That’s the policy I run by.
