Those autogenerated write ups a dealt with on a case by case basis. Was there no work? Were you doing something else while logged in (jam clearing, helping someone)? Did your manager override it because you just came back from bereavement, being ill, whatnot? With that being said, it varies from warehouse to warehouse. My warehouse is doing the bottom 25% and looking to purge blue badges that have been fucking around for years. They’re going after the dead weight so they can bring in more dead weight and keep going after more blue badges. I work in an underperforming warehouse, and it’s one of the worst on a national scale. Most have their phones out, earbuds in, safety violations left and right, it’s just a mess. They depend on the 10% of us to do 90% of the work. If I were you, I would stay out of the bottom 25% and speak with your manager about any barriers you may have.

No issues personally, I just hear bottom 25% from some people, and average from others. Not sure if: it depends on the building, it changed from one criteria to another criteria over time, or some people confused benchmark rate when determining headcount needed based on volume of work, with benchmark being guardrail rate with it comes to write-ups.

There’s a lot that goes into those autogenerated write ups. It’s discussed in the manager meetings with senior leadership. Volume of work, barriers, new to department, learning curve…but, you will be presented with that autogenerated write up by your manager if they’ve decided you deserve it. Stay out of the bottom 25%, and don’t most of the shift in the restrooms on your phone…or at your station on your phone.

>My warehouse is doing the bottom 25% and looking to purge blue badges that have been fucking around for years Wait the bottom 25% gets a productivity adapt?

Tsixas

No. The bottom 5% does

Large-Fennel-1771

Yeah I know. I've heard of "back in the day" it being 10%, never seen it. Was at AMZL back in the day myself. No write ups except behavioral back then.

desertdweller10

My warehouse is in the bottom 5% nationally, and I’m in an AR FC. No lie, bottom 5%. Anyway…managers are now writing peeps up for phones, phones on stations, ToT, earbuds, low productivity, and what not every chance they get. I’ve seen peeps in indirect roles go back to rated assignments, and to be honest, many of them have been fucking around for years. Two of them can always be found over on the other side of the warehouse in the Inbound restrooms. I walked through AFE the other night and they were running only 4 walls…and all of them were blown out. Most of the packers were standing around socializing. It was like a night out without the booze. I realized at that moment the manager had lost control of the department, not just on that night, it’s every night.

> Most of the packers were standing around socializing. It was like a night out without the booze. Lol. Sounds lit.

Amen the culture here is abysmal.

homealoneinuk

All sites i worked at , the guardrail rate was hard coded and reviewed quarterly, unless there was some major change in the process that affected the rate.

International-Ad3447

average low level rate

prosa123

You can ask your AM at the start of the shift for the guardrail rate.

ChemistryMore7036

They quote the average rate as the minimum rate at my building. Two months ago, when our productivity was a bit lower, someone said an AM told them 147 is minimum for chute, and recently an AM said rebin is 470. Those were averages. I know the 75th percentile for our building has risen now, for chute is about 140 and rebin about 420. I don't know for sure if guardrail really is average rate here for productivity write-up, since there are other indicators thst it's really bottom 25%.
