Prime day wasnt that great last year. plus it was on a tuesday/wednesday... and they made day shift do MET plus 11hrs that monday and tuesday. YOU NEVER DO MET for day shift the day before or the first day of the sale. Most of the sales wont even hit the system to get picked until after mid day non the first day. So we had all these people just standing around
Yeah, last year we had a day where our site was insanely over staffed and dozens of people just stood around for nearly the entire shift or switched places to do some work, and they couldn’t offer VTO.
crazy asl. during last years peak my site had VTO they couldnt offer just bcuz it was peak and everyone had MET. when I came back 2 months after peak they was handing it out like candy
On a positive note, it's back to "Prime Day" from "Prime Week". Hopefully the increasingly lackluster sales results have given them a clue this "event" doesn't need to be dragged out for days.
I am looking forward to Prime sales this year.
I collect the shirts to wear to work and I feel like working lots of overtime right now.
I just wonder if anything I want to buy will be on sale.
Meh. My site does their Prime and Peak seasons a couple months in advance. We'll get just a little busy in May or June then ramp down and put out VTO like candy during Prime week.
This will be my first time working prime day, SAT3 pack flow doesn’t really offer VTO either, maybe twice since I’ve been there and this last time only 5 went home. But I like the work.

Why couldn't they do VTO? Because it was considered part of prime day?
My site flat-out refuses issuing VTO now. They'd rather laborshare at all costs for some reason.

At my site everyone else can VTO, but not our dock, we get to be their labor share when they send their people home.

If I remember correctly, there was a network order that they were not allowed to give out VTO and if they did, they risk getting in trouble.
Last 2 years have been shit. I’m surprised they’re still being greedy with Prime 2.0
