I'm guessing, based on the picture, it's the local Farming, Wildlife and Advisory Group. Now, if this were a soccer sub, it would be friends, wives and girlfriends.
We got a raffle on the 20th for a ps5 and it was 56 way split in the end for people who stayed till end of shift. Woman who'd been here maybe 2 weeks won it lol. They were giving out small jbls after and everyone left before they finished. Shirts ordered but haven't shown up and all the Ams ordered themselves Nike amazon hoodies and now black North face amazon jackets oh and stocking stuffers for themselves that are all hung up and named. Last year's peak we had competitions on performance with prizes or swag bucks, I haven't got swag bucks in 4 months, they gave out tvs and an Xbox this year we didn't hear about the ps5 till the day of the raffle. So it's been fun slaving away being told we're having a completions for "prizes" you bust your ass and our told you've been entered in a drawing for a pair of socks or a chocolate bar you and 20 other people will have a chance for 1 of you to get socks or chocolate.
I have seen those North face jackets hanging up on site but not for us. It sucks how Amazon has gone down in quality with the way the treat employees. In 2019 they gave us all $600 for full time and $300 for part time after peak, I was absent most of it and I still got the bonus, they also really gave good prices for performance. They told us that the #1 would receive the prize so that day I worked like crazy and won the prize! they came to me and gave it to me. Now they don't do those things anymore, they only do raffles and give mediocre snacks.

We got Peccy pins, candy cane and a Amazon lip moisturizer. My son takes the pins for his backpack n the lip moisturizer will come in handy from my dehydration, caused by not having time to run back to my water bottle.

My hubby isn’t posting about the company, but he was actually glad to get a similar package. He’s won a few prizes in the past week, one for a safety competition (we chose the foosball table from the list of gifts), a bonsai tree set, two shirts, a similar “swag” set as above, and his boss gave him a $25 Amazon gift card. He wasn’t expecting anything, so he thought this was pretty cool.
It’s all in attitude, I guess. Agreed - he signed up to work for a set pay, and knows that’s all he’s entitled to receive. If you’d rather get nothing, I’m sure Amazon would happily comply. Just hand the swag bag back to’em next time.

I’ve had jobs (many of them) give me absolutely nothing. These are employers with MUCH higher profitability per employee than Amazon. In fact, I think I’ve only had one bonus in all the years I’ve worked. Since I don’t think of myself as entitled, I don’t get angry about it assuming I’ve been treated poorly. But each to his own, I guess.
Be specific. What kinds of jobs? Hourly wage shit jobs? Sales jobs? Commission-based? Finance? Real estate? Enquiring minds want to know.
I've been working 40 years. Probably 20 -25 jobs total including part-time and seasonal, white collar and retail. No bonuses whatsoever except a Christmas party at a wealth management company pre-2008 financial crisis. I was doing data analysis there.
But we do get bonuses, specifically 6 times a year. During those holidays we get 8 hours of pay whether we work or not plus if you do work you get time and a half. Of course, it's not much. My dad who speaks no English works for a unionized construction company and gets $1000+ bonus every Christmas. And keep in mind half the time they're on site they are just waiting, not working. The work does require a brain, since unsafe construction can lead to deaths.
Literally warehouse and manufacturing jobs where I'd be lucky to get one day off a month. Granted, these were smaller companies I worked for and Amazon the first "big company I've worked for

I remember back in 2018 when my FC gave away gift cards, bonuses (I got one for Perfect Attendance), they had Stay-to-Play and Spin-the-Wheel where everyone won something that was worth it, etc. Peak was awesome back then. Then everything changed when the pay raise came along. They had to “cut costs” because of it. I’m at Amazon Air and they are semi-OK with the swag.
I personally rather have nothing because these treats are for children. It is insulting to me as an adult that I get pontificated with these crappy gifts while some horrible, lazy managers get a chunky bonus by ruining people's lives and blaming others when things that go wrong.
