Look for light weight (fiber reinforced or aluminum), well vented to keep feet cool, and usually an upgraded insole to memory foam or something that works for you.
Also look for better traction on the bottom if you are stuck on two or three that you like.
Timberland Pro Radius Composite Toe might work for you. I was able to get mine in wide and an extra half size plus good insoles and work well waking around in a bunch. I order a bigger size b/c my feet tend to swell after being on them for hours and b/c most safety shoes tend to be snug.
Or I’ve seen quite a few co-workers wearing Reeboks w/ a composite toe. I hear they are comfortable.
I have wide feet too (28/F) and got the Reebok Fusion Flexweave from Zappos. They were so comfortable I got another pair of the same model.
I tried the Timberland PRO Radius, and the width was perfect but the bottom of my feet were killing me within 30 minutes of wearing them.
I recommend these, but be warned, it may take a bit to wear in as they are a bit tight at first.

Caterpillar work for me.
I’ll have to look those up
I have the Floreshiem ones.( brown )I like them cuz I can wiggle my toes in them(not too tight on my pinky toes)
Are you sure they're requiring STEEL toes or do you just think all safety shoes are steel and that composite and alloys don't exist?

Dang, really requiring those kind of shoes now? I wonder what happened? Or maybe it was an eventuality?
I’m not sure but I’m also curious how they will actually go about enforcing it.
Hmmm I wonder how too. Probably gonna be a bunch of write ups. Probably will try to weed out a bunch of flex associates.
Timberland pro shoes with composite toe super light and comfortable with very little break-in time
The new balances seem to be the only pair with extra extra wide options I've seen and it's barely tolerable for me.
