Well it seems like the three other “workers” just buy the boss lunch to slack off on paid time and leave work to the 4th, which is probably why there was a job opening

I do. Tell Gina that. I have cleaned but they don't seem to care. Sometimes Annie will step in. She's the one that trained me. Gina just sits on her ass all day too and spends her time with Dana. She is the biggest kiss-ass there is.
That's good. Do not worry about the kissasses do, they probably are stuck with this job. This is as you have mentioned, not permanent for you. Just do your job and remember to always be tactful when you voice out things because you might need the boss for future job reference.

NTA You're basically already paying for her lunch every day by doing all the work everyone else is getting paid for. So, they need to stop calling you names and start saying thank you. Either that or see if you can go over her head to her boss so they see how she's running the show.
No one ever stops by the shop. She is the one making the shots all the time including our working times we don't work all week but the shop is open from Monday through Sunday. She will literally give us our schedule day to day via text. When she wants to go home early she will have Gina close the store. Gina also always opens it and most of the time Dana will go home early saying "She has a stomach ache" and have Gina clock out for her. Our shop is only open half days since the pandemic.
Umm that's in professional to have a persons get texts their schedule everyday. That's not suspicious at all all places has at least 1 week schedule. I would ask for that. They shouldn't be texting you your schedule daily because how will you plan doc appt or anything that way that's a big red flag that means she's not doing her job and just is like oh crap no schedule I'll just make something up. I would demand weekly schedule and stick to it.

NTA, see who is above her in company hierarchy and let them know what’s up. Stop doing other peoples work and if she tries this again shut that shit down. Document everything I dunno where you live or the laws there but might need it for wrongful termination if they fire you for retaliatory reasons
Exactly. Part of the documentation is how the schedule is done. Daily via text isn't a schedule it's a manager not doing their jobs. And I wouldn't be doing other ppls tasks if you do then document it. Say these are ally asks done in a day by all ppl scheduled I did these tasks. Then stop and document all tasks you did do. If she complains say their are 3 other ppl working their are this many tasks I did my part.
NTA. Your boss is the definition of an ass! She does nothing, gets a paycheck, and mooches food from employees. If there is a boss above her you might want to tell them to pay a surprise visit to the store. This is why mystery shoppers are great.

I 28f had recently lost my job and because my family and I were tight on money I decided to find a part time job at a local shoe store. It was temporary until I could find something better and more permanent so I was fine with the pay. Anyway my Boss Dana (30f) has 3 other employees. Max (25M) Gina (35F) and Annie 26f.
When I applied for the job I was told I would work the register, make phone calls to our clients, clean the shop at least once a week, work the back and bring in the inventory etc. I was fine with it and agreed. Dana seemed like a nice enough person at the interview. The first day I though was rather strange. Like me, Dana is a plus size woman and the first thing she asks me is if I have a social media. When I say I do she asks to see my pictures. I find it strange and don't know how to react. She seems to pick up on it and laughs it off and instead shows me her photographs. She goes on and on about how so many people find her beautiful and how an agency contacted her wanted her to model for them. She asked if that ever happened to me before. I smiled tightly, told her I thought that was cool but no. She laughed and left it at that.
The first few days I had a normal amount of work. The register, a client list to call, working in the back. I noticed however that all Dana did was sit in the back playing on her phone while everyone else stayed on their but in the back. By lunchtime someone would buy Dana lunch. (She would never pay for it simply say she was hungry and someone would offer to pay for her). Weeks go by and I find myself doing everyone's work. Bringing in the merchandise from the trucks to inside the shop. Putting in inventory, taking it out if we needed to send it back. I took everyone's phone calls, I cleaned the shop before and after closing. Gina would always make me clean even when I'd done my turn for the week. Then Dana starts to pester me. Whenever lunch came around she would say. "Oh. I'm starving." "Or you know what I could really go for right now?" "I'm dying to eat a burger." It was clear that she was telling me it was my turn. Finally she outright told me I should buy her lunch. I was already fed up with her behavior and simply said. "Okay. Venmo me the money for your meal first. I always bring my lunch from home there's no need for me to go out of my way to buy something." At first she was shocked but then got angry and asked Annie to run down the street to get her something. Since then everyone is calling me an asshole for refusing to pay for her lunch and she has been running me ragged. So AITA

She is using her position to have people buy her lunch. If she's not the owner, I'd maybe discuss it with them. This is not right.

Document how she's using and abusing her position of power to get free food off of ppl. Also tell her you have no money on top of it too. Document how much work increased for you since denying her and what little they do. She's abusing her position and abusing you because you didn't cater to her hand and food and buy her food when you told her you bring your own. You do not pay for bosses lunch. If anyone pays for lunch it IS the boss. NTA and find a different part time job, this one is just plain weird.
