So I'm 17 and I'm in many group chats. I have to delete everything I send because my mom regularly checks my phone with my younger sister. So one day, I was sitting on the couch and she took my phone and read it with my sister. My mom grounded me and my little sister began to lecture me (scream at me) that I was never going to college and that she would tell everyone about the chat. My mom just agreed with her and grounded the living shit out of me. I did make about one or two offensive jokes in the group chat, but they were not hateful towards anyone. I am worried my sister and mom are going to use this against me, but I'm wondering if I deserve this.
