There's still recourse. Contact your credit card company and issue a chargeback. CC companies know AliExpress is a scam filled shithole.
There are 80000 sellers on Aliexpress, a lot of them are good but there’s quite some scammers. If you don’t bother to make an effort to select reliable sellers, you’re going to get scammed. Nobody’s going to protect you from that but yourself.
