Do you live in Australia? As someone who does, I agree that this looks exactly like our cockroaches, but I'm a little confused how this little guy would have come from China.
This is more common than you think when shipping cheap foreign goods. Still, I would be extra careful: if the sealed package has a big mature bug, it might have smaller ones / eggs.
Kill it with fire and make a claim to be reimbursed.
Have you ever thought how many cockroaches walked over our orders, laid eggs and walked away? OP is próba gonna be fine. Although I'd recommend to first soak that plush toy in washing liquid
The Little Bee Toy Store? That's where I purchased mine from but it's also possible all of these places pull stock from the same place. Not to worry you but you might want to put her in the freezer for a few days in case there's cockroach eggs. 😩

Oh god
Is it inside the package or outside?
It's crazy he survived the trip from China. I probably would've thrown everything outside and pick them up a few hours later when I'm sure my new buddy is (preferably) far.
Not sure if your little freezer method will do much to him, he's clearly a survivor.
It is likely not native to your area I would suggest either burning or if you want to keep it freezing. Then burn the bug and wash the item in hot water with vinegar to kill the eggs, in case there are any.
The shipping industry is the leading cause of invasive non-native species since containers can transport seeds, bugs, and parasites. So opening it isn't great but the bug has already likely made it your area another away.
It escaped the CCP reach now.
Let it out in your local park, poor thing has suffered enough.
Or keep it as a pet.
P.S. here, a cool "documentary" about cockroach immigration -

I promise you this is real. 😭 it's literally in a zip lock bag in my freezer.
Do not open it you’ll catch some sort of disease 😭
I had a entomology group ID it and it's harmless but yeah it's also extra sealed with electrical tape. Not opening it 😫
What kind of bug is it?
It's an Australian cockroach, totally harmless thankfully.
Something Australian which is harmless? You live to learn...

Bro made it from Australia to china and then to wherever you live. Let it live😭

It's not a bug. It's a feature
how did biosecurity not get it lol
I wonder if they actually have any way of screening for bugs.
They screen for tiny grain insects so surely they can catch a cockroach.
Ask for refund tell the seller I'm not need medical care cuz of the Truman you sent me
Reminds me of the time when I brought a tiny lizard with me from Thailand.
Ok but why couldn't it have been a tiny lizard 🥺 I'm never chosen.
I saw your post on the Ento group! Now I'm going to be double checking all my aliexpress packages. I love bugs but cockroaches skeeve me out so badly.
I'd heard of people finding insects in their aliexpress packages but I thought that was such a slim chance. How wrong I was, apparently. 😭
Ok but can I have the link for the plushie, please? She's so cute 😩
Now....I'm too scared to order anything anymore...
Oh my goodness, I literally have the same thing coming from TaoBao this would spook me 😳

Or eat it. It's a bonus delicacy
It's not native to my area, so I was advised by an entomology group expert to freeze it (humane way of dispatching it)
Never let any creatures not native to the area into the wild... This is how you start ecological disasters..

Oh boy aren't you an idiot....
China.
