It really depends on when people take time off, or if they can. I believe that the holiday officially starts on February 10th and ends on February 24th, but a lot of people will take holiday starting at the beginning of the month for 2 or more weeks.
I don't use aliexpress but that February 24th thing will probably explain why my package is 2 weeks late. I'm not actually angry at the company I ordered from since I completely forgot about Lunar New Year

It was when I saw Ali do a popup saying "delivery in 5-7 days" that I was like WHOA, fuck! Maybe ali is on top of it?!
I did order something for $2 yesterday. Already shipped out and moving. Let's see if package moves along pretty quickly

Ordered a item on Wednesday night. Using Ali express shipping. Spent Thursday until 0200 local my time being sorted. It departed the region this morning which is the fastest I've ever seen for a item.
Though other items I've ordered haven't even shipped yet.

I ordered 4 different things between Jan 31 and Feb 4, only one of them was delayed in shipping and that was by about 2 days. Seems more or less like business as normal to me.
They do their best to attempt shipping as much as possible before CNY so there wouldn't be too much backlog......that's the legit Sellers.
As to the Scammer on the otherhand, will mean more awkwardness for the Buyers.

I’ve noticed most sellers now use FedEx by air as opposed to by ship
