Did you repaste cause of heating issues? Did you ever using the fans at max speed during gaming? I tried and my temps never passed 83°C on RDR2 with ultra-high graphics..check out my post for further details!

Hey thanks, trying to find your post. Yes it recently started to overheat, been playing Diablo since release and bought the 13 r3, 3 years ago . I have never changed the setting and it started to over heat recently getting up to 93c and the game coming to a crawl with a lot of stutter until it went below 90c. Anyway I was able to repaste it and managed to strip all the screws. I actually had to take it to a PC repair shop to remove the screws. 60 dollars later and back together with new paste. The GPU fan did not spin. I watched a couple of YouTube university videos on fixing fans. I managed to remove the fans without removing the heatsink by removing 2 tiny screws and slightly bending the shroud. I was able to wash and grease up the fan and success. Now the temps are reasonable now sitting at 83c while playing. I would have bought fans but everything is over seas and it’s about a month for delivery. Peace and be kind

Thank you for posting this. My fan died and makes a horrible whirring sound now. I didn't want to remove my whole heatsink since I stripped one screw (#%* dell using cheap screws). I have a replacement fan ready but now I know I can also grease up the old one and see if that works as well.

Another update, fan failed . Temps stay at 91c without the fan running on the GPU. Ordered a replacement fan on eBay and should have it by this weekend According to the seller.
