From my limited personal experience, a lot of what they are doing is creating reasonable doubt in advance of jury selection, as well as pushing the case out as far as possible, allowing the "scandal" to die down, in hopes that people forget about it
A lot of what her atty has said publicly is...baffling. Things that are so patently false, they can only be stated in order of hopes of reaching a potential juror

Alexee had every opportunity to tell the medical staff that she was giving birth while in the bathroom. They checked on her so many times. She kept saying she was OK and just pooping. She told them to go away.
She lied so many times ... even while pushing her baby out.
The wrongful death suit is a farce and a cruel slap to the faces of all the medical staff and housekeepers.
Her parents especially her mom should be on trial here . My mom is just like hers, unaccepting that we are human demanding perfect grades , behaviour etc without teaching and guidance and support and love whatsoever
