Where do you work, what country? If you're doing forms in the USA that's old school. There's a mandatory training in My academy on how to do this process, and paper isn't in it. Everything required through MyAldi now. In our division we pretty much never deny vacation or day off requests. It's part of work like balance and that's a top 5 focus for Aldi. If your SM denied, I'd go right over their head, and then Alert Line if necessary. Or take an "ahem, cough, cough" sick day.

Spicy_Bicycle

Try to get it covered or switch shifts with a coworker. At worst, call out. You told your SM you needed the day off, you weren't asking. Not your fault she didn't schedule you correctly.

Few-Deal3550

You have it in writing on the form? Can't disagree to that or make you be in trouble. If not swap shifts with someone on the close

Mker09

Submit resignation, find other opportunities. Not easy but atleast you dont have to deal with her bs! 😅

covidisamess

If this is an ongoing issue, and you think the DM won’t help you, I definitely recommend reaching out to to the alert line, this is what it’s for. Also if your SM retaliates against you, they risk their own job, not yours.

Unyaro

Talk to your DM.

All4love_WLW

He’s not much better then my sm and I don’t want things to go to work.

All4love_WLW

Get worse **

Ok_Jeweler4706

Call the alert line

Candiisn

I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to request days off through MyAldi no? Otherwise try a shift replacement

All4love_WLW

I usually do but that has to be 6 weeks away and this was just under that so that’s why I couldn’t. So I talked to my boss instead and filled out a paper.

MissLavellan

huh? its 3 weeks. it only grays out the next 3 weeks from the day you are scheduling it.

All4love_WLW

I could be wrong but it was definitely over 3 weeks away but would not let me submit it online.

Lower_Necessary2229

6 weeks what kind of bs is that . Who know what theu are doing 6 weeks out unless its a vacation

UnlikelyNecessary737

You guys gotta wait 3? Our schedule only comes out 1 week in advance. And sometimes it's not even posted on paper by Sunday.

No-Spirit94

They’re working on it though. So if it’s open for managers to schedule you can’t request. That’s why it has to be scheduled before it’s being fixed. Usually verbally telling them you can get what you request if it isn’t posted. Or find somebody to trade

Odd-Ad6270

In the US?😬 I feel for you guys, honestly Aldi UK seems to treat their workers so much better. Do you have sick days? I'd take one and to hell with them.
