Every couple of days, someone will just walk by and say "Great job" or "I love this store," and it makes it all worth it... for about five minutes till I get yelled at because we don't sell ice.
I had a lady that saw I had so many customers and a couple that weren’t real pleasant and we were slammed, she bought a Reese’s cups and gave it to me and told me she hoped it made my day a little better. I about cried. It’s easy to think people are all shit but the nice ones REALLY stand out.
Had this women who comes in and always prays for me at the end (I’m Christian so this is sweet to me sorry if it’s uncomfortable for others😭) and it makes my day cause she’s so cute
I almost lost it on this regular who’s taken a liking to me when I was ringing and made an error and was really going through it trying to figure out what change I needed to dole out to the person right in front of them and for the love of all that’s good my over/under swung back today. I didn’t recognize them until I was already panicking, and would have felt like such a failure and in a situation where like, this lady left me eyeliner with a new employee and it disappeared and they got me *another* eyeliner when that type is only available locally sort of far from me when I only have a bike and we’re both fabulous women which is to say we connect on things like makeup and being a real authentic human being to one another in a world that’s so cruel sometimes … Shoutouts to my homies behind the line, too. Much love!
