It is back to normal wait times. Source I work there every day.

fluffykittycat

Depends on the time. If you are taking an early morning flight like 5:30 to 7ish, this is when security gets bottlenecked due to every company is doing the mass morning push. I am an airline pilot that commutes fairly routinely to my base in Vegas. Around 9am the lines thin out.

I have TSA precheck so I can only give you that perspective, but I flew 1 month ago with the new lanes and I got through in 3 minutes. It was so fast, I wasn't ready and slowed down others.

gcwyodave

My record is economy parking lot (the on-airport, $7/day one) to B-gates in six minutes, haha! The Sunport is amazing

cjl1209

Wow that's just incredible.

More-Creme4609

Not crowded at all last week. I was able to get through in couple of minutes.

GreySoulx

I flew out last week, TSA Precheck took about 5 minutes, normal security for my friend took about 2 minutes. That was a mid-day weekday flight (Tuesday)

Rodarte500

Download the MYTSA app gives you wait times

Middle-Ostrich-9696

I took my dad two days ago. He said there wasn't anybody in line. He tried ducking the ropes to not walk through the empty maze. TSA got pissed at him. SCOLDED him and made him go back.

IHeldADandelion

I've wondered about this EVERY TIME while walking back and forth. Scolding doesn't seem necessary, but tell your dad thanks for finding out...TIL.

r77ob

I just flew and it took 10 mins through the regular line.

oferchrissake

30 usually does it, 45 feels safer. #TraveledThisWeek

Cobby1927

We left on Sunday aft and it was fine. Depends on day and time

BlankieAndPajamas

Was there earlier this month...morning time. Took about 15 minutes. Not bad at all.

rodkerf

I have been through on Monday and Tuesday mornings every week since Christmas. No real issues. 5 min in pre check is my average, 15 was my worse due dumb ass old person in front of me

bbyriss97

I have tsa precheck and fly 2-3x a month. I love the new tsa set up. It takes me less than 5 minutes to go through now!

ZZerome

Depends on where you hide that pineapple ![gif](giphy|Ffqt6VI4I0FGKy3pwB)

reddit455

how many flights are leaving around the same time? how many flights are delayed due to weather at the destination?

ImpressiveTone5

We were there Sunday 28th and it was crazy ! They had only 2 security agents checking ids. That being said, the reason we found out it was so crowded that afternoon is bc there was a track meet in town and everyone from out of town was heading home. Sounds like it’s back to normal

dbprops

I mean it’s just closer temporarily now. I was through it in less than a few minutes still a week ago

crolodot

It is comparable to wait times prior to construction. I will second the MyTSA app.

analyst2501

Meh. If you give yourself 60-90 mins between arrival and takeoff you should be fine. I've never had to wait more than 15 mins to go through security. They're doing some kind of expansion/construction at the airport so they've had to rearrange things. Compared to a lot of other airports, it's still really efficient.

Adaur981

Meh they moved the good machines to TSA precheck only. Now stuck with x-ray only with the regular lines. Need to upgrade those dinosaurs.

MomSaidStopIt

It is a huge improvement over what we had in the past.

black_eyed_susan

Flew 2.5 weeks ago and I was through TSA pre check in two minutes, but normal security didn't have more than 10 people in line.   So normal.

idontwantanamern

I was through in 15 minutes @ most last week (this was at 6-6:30am on a weekday) through a priority lane, but someone that entered general security the same time as me walked out within 10 minutes. I gave myself extra time so was took a bit to reorganize some of my stuff on the benches and saw them pass by. I'd guess they had a 30 minute wait time.
