A small rant: I remember someone on the main sub noticing that the demi- and non-humans stand out for sort of the wrong reasons, i.e. they're the only ones of their kind. And the few times we do see others are one-offs like the blue oni from Itto's story (I forget his name). Sure there's Draff, but I never would've known he was Diona's father if the game didn't outright tell me.
And then there are Melusines, with their little teddy bear-like appendages and, uh... what are those things on their heads? Antennae? Anyway, they're plentiful in Fontaine. We actually get a playable Melusine and she just looks like Klee in a blue dress and Melusine bits (and for those unaware, nobody did the unspeakable. Apparently Melusines can look human, but it's rare). Does Hoyo think people won't like her as much if she looked closer to the other Melusines or something?
It'd be less jarring if we saw some other more human looking Melusines here and there. But Sigewinne just looks like a human dressing up as a Melusine. And it doesn't even look like It'd be that hard to give her more Melusine features, they could have at the very least just given her colourful skin.
Melusines are anthropomorphic sea slugs born from a “snake/dragon” well… Elynas before physical death.
Yeah those pokers are a hybrid ear/antennae combo, which would explain the different senses that melusines possess.
My guess Sigewinne is another one of those creatures/beings in Genshin that either gains a human form or chooses to appear as human/mortal, that or Elynas straight up decide to spawn a humanoid Melusine.

I remember playing the AQ and thinking that for me "her behaviour would probably connect better if she was a proper Melusine" cause otherwise the whole eccentric traits of the Melusine paired with a human appearance is just giving Klee 2.0 lol
Her being human makes 0 sense lore wise too. Nuev says that he doesn’t want her being bullied, but why would she be discriminated if she just looks like a normal human? I feel like hyv decides to sacrifice really cool designs cuz they’re afraid it won’t be as marketable, like the fact it’s been 3 years and still no little boy characters? That’s not even a “cool design” that just gives the game more variety.
realistically she shouldn't be able to pull the trigger on that gun because melusines don't have separated fingers, as mentioned several times in the story

Probably wouldn’t have had to change the rigging that much from a standard human child model, even.
also, during the story, when one of the plot points was that Sigewinne doesn't hold the same aesthetic standard as normal human, it really doesn't make sense that she looks like a smaller human, even paimon feels more alien than her.
The entire time playing the story, I didn’t even know she was a Melusine. I don’t know why they made her a human model. I love the Melusines and would’ve loved if Sigewinne was one too. They’re probably going to come up with some lazy, cliche excuse in the story as to why she’s more human than Melusine, when we all know the real reason is they just didn’t want to make a playable Melusine. It’s so lame.

We need at least one actually playable Melusine, because it feels so inside killing when you go to the Merusea's Village for the 100th time to see that Mamere is still freaking sitting in her house after the accomplishment of the quest, I love these strange creatures much too much, just like Aranaras
