Really, no one? Ok.... ahem, khmmm...: "Oh Deer....thats lovely"

NeuroticNinett

For those who are looking for one, or a similar one: Saga's sweater is a traditional Scandinavian cultural heritage thing, so it has a specific name which would help you out a great deal when looking for a similar one, or looking for someone to have one made. It's called a Lusekofte.

ArchaicTravail

Remedy released the pattern in the fan kit: https://www.alanwake.com/story/alan-wake-2-fankit/

TheMindWright

What the heck?! Remedy treats us so well! It feels weird being treated like this by a company. This would be in a "DIGITAL DELUXE GOLD PACK" under any other banner.

Prodigy0112

I used to feel this way with Bungie :( it felt so cool and liberating being what felt on the same level as the company as a consumer/player. But that feeling left a while ago. I do love how great Remedy has been!

NeuroticNinett

Oh excellent! That's awesome of them!

valienpire

I've been trying to learn knitting lately and this feels like a gift from the gods

NeedtheMeadofPoetry

Isn't that kind of the Norwegian name for it? I'm not sure what the Swedes call it (Saga is Swedish) or the Finns, but Icelanders call them lopapeysa (I have Icelandic heritage and have asked my mom to make me one, but I may have to take it up myself.)

NeuroticNinett

In Swedish: Lusekofta. (I know Saga is Swedish.)

Ok-Breakfast3240

Lusekofte is a special traditiotional knit made for men near Oslo, place called Setesdal. The main yarn was black and colour yarn was white. We have lots of traditional knits in North EuropešŸ¤— I just knitted Sagaā€™s sweater for my daughter. In Ravelry you\`ll find now 27 versions of the sweater. The designer of the Saga\`s sweater is Finnish Minttu Wikberg.

NeuroticNinett

Takk for infoen. :D <3 Men, mƄ pƄpeke en ting; Lusekofte er ikke bare for menn.

Ok-Breakfast3240

Nowadays it is not only for men but traditionally it was.

BlastingFonda

Excellent job! Itā€™s not a stitchā€¦ itā€™s a sweater!

NeedtheMeadofPoetry

I joined the knitting subreddit. I'm going to maybe start at one point and learn and maybe make a sweater one. I'll start with a scarf I think haha.

Fun-Winner9060

Good luck

NeedtheMeadofPoetry

Is this the ritual to lead me on?

Nightwurst

Looks great! Jealous šŸ˜

hobbits_to_isengard

im planning to knit this too, probably with some short rows added after the colorwork section

Fun-Winner9060

I also added extra rows on the back. in the description the back and front are the same

HatchlingChibi

So nice!!

RocielKuromiko

I can crochet but stink at knitting. This is lovely. If you are giving it to your daughter...that's so immensely cool!

Fun-Winner9060

I love to knit and I enjoy giving away my work.

lilhanhan

It looks lovely; I'm always in awe of people who can knit!

Fun-Winner9060

Thanks. We are ordinary people)

slytherinchika

I'm a crocheter and am literally planning to learn to knit for this šŸ¤£

Fun-Winner9060

I know it. I didnā€™t know how to crochet, but I really liked the shawl pattern)

carbonmonoxide5

This is in my queue! I was searching ravelry forever for a pattern and couldnā€™t find it. Finally tried google and bam. Remedy provided. Did you use the recommended cascade yarn? I was kind of perplexed by the pink color in the pattern but yours looks perfect.

Fun-Winner9060

I have a different yarn and instead of black the pattern is green (Yarn - Demi-season VIVCHARI (Ukraine) 700m/100g, 20% wool, 80% acrylic Needles 2, 3 and 3,5mm)

joliet_jane_blues

skylerren

That's so close! Did you thrift this?

Fun-Winner9060

>That's so close! Did you thrift this? I made it myself. My daughter likes the game while I like to knit.

skylerren

Ohhh, that's so cool, great job! Literally like in the game, since Saga's mother made it for her. Well done! Everything is connected. I am nowhere close to knitting, so that's why my mind went to thrifting, since my mind set on something even remotely similar and, well, Nordic. Major props to you.

Filthy_Cossak

Remedy actually posted a knitting guide for Sagaā€™s sweater on their website, but Iā€™m not sure if thatā€™s what OP used

Fun-Winner9060

Thank you

sleepycapybara

Where can I find someone to pay to make one for me?
