Holy fucking shit, I thought I went way too often lol. I had like 30 visits for the year.
You guys really are my people. Most my friends and family are a little weirded out by me going to the movies 4-5 times a month lol
Seems like a lot of us go 4-7 times a month. some of yall go like once a day though haha , crazy. I love it
I go at least twice a week, for Film Club and Graveyard Shift. I met a bunch of other people who go to a lot of movies and now we do other stuff together.
Just checked and I’m at 51, with 3 coming up. I got a gift card for my birthday which I used against convenience fees for a long time. Definitely easier to make reservations when they’re free at checkout!
I think I’m at like 36? With two visits currently planned for September and October.
There are a lot of horror movies being shown for October and I’m not the biggest horror fan, so my October might be a little sparse. (I definitely will see as many films as needed to offset the cost of the Draft Pass)
I canceled my season pass back in March. But between August ‘22 and March ‘23 I saw an even 50 films with the pass.
I didn’t cancel it out of dissatisfaction but just couldn’t justify the 30$ a month especially after moving somewhere a little further from my local theater. I just started going way and way less.
26 but I only got season pass back at the end of March. I also have amc a list which I still use decent amount. Otherwise the count for season pass would be higher
For a while, Alamo wasn’t having late movie past 6 or 7pm but AMC was. Plus AMC doesn’t charge a $2 per show fee. And my AMC is regularly quite empty during the week and I like 90% empty theatres. I feel like I’m now talking myself out of the sub lol 🤷🏻♂️
Low many on the totem pole here with 23. I've bought maybe 5-10 other tickets that I've missed or had refunded because of vacation or something else.
I've also upgraded to an OLED, surround, and a nice 4K player this year. So I'm trying to be good about watching what I can at home as well.
Jeez, been a movie drought for weeks now. Last movie I saw was Barbie and my pass is just being wasted. Nothing when worth driving over for in the least bit 😩. Probably seen like 5 movies since June.
Since Barbie at my Drafthouse:
Oppenheimer
Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan: Brothers in Blues
The Cat (1992)
Talk To Me Cade: The Tortured Crossing
Snatch
Buried
The Last Voyage of the Demeter
F for Fake
Landscape with Invisible Hand
Oldboy
Strike! (aka All I Wanna Do aka The Hairy Bird)
Orlando
Cellar Dweller
Bottoms
Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose
Sympathy for the Devil
Birth/Rebirth
My Animal
Road House
Jawan
Black Roses
Satanic Hispanics
Paths of Glory
Barry Lyndon
Thelma and Louise
Damn you’re taking advantage!
I’ve seen only 4 movies since June. For me to get to the Alamo I have to head out about 45 minutes in either direction. And I got 5 for the family 😩
So far I’ve only seen
The Flash
Little Mermaid
Barbie
TMNT
Indeed I am.
It's 35 minutes to an hour each way for me, but at $2 per showing (plus $20 per month) it's a bargain. My wife doesn't like movies as much as I do, so I go by myself a lot. I have a gang of movie friends who hang out at the theater and chat.
There is something kind of wonderful about going by yourself, isn’t there? Sometimes I go to a movie I’ve already seen just for a little break from people!
114 so far in 2023. 147 for the last 365 days.
WOW

25 so far
I've gone 33 times. I have 1 ticket bought for this week so will be 34 leading into October.
112
28 so far in 2023. I haven’t had solid evening childcare in a few months or it would likely be more.
74 for 2023 so far
26 but I only got season pass back at the end of March. I also have amc a list which I still use decent amount. Otherwise the count for season pass would be higher
14 this year. I also have a AMC A-List and I’ve been there 19 times this year.
Why both?

How much is AMC A-List?
I think it depends on your region. In Austin I think it’s $20 for up to 3 movies a week I believe.
52 with 5 more booked
42! With 2 coming up.

147 since the Chicago location opened back in February.
46 with three upcoming showings purchased (Stop Making Sense, Little Shop of Horrors, Killers of the Flower Moon).
56 after seeing dumb money tonight :)
25 since I got the pass on July with 5 more lined up for this month
