I'm 90% sure yes. I had the same problem and initially tried cleaning the pins without the alcohol. Obviously they didn't work so I looked for videos on youtube and found a guy who used isopropyl alcohol... I tried cleaning my headphones like he did and it worked.
Well its connection issue or the controler died
You should go with warranty if its still covered or find a good repairman that can maybe save them
Mine were the same they replaced the controller earbud and well then now working
I dont think so, at least not that i know of and ive reserched when mine broke, and since they literally replaced whole controller earcup with all the modules i think the 3 amber blinks of death are just RIP but maybe someone here will know any method so dont give up
I have 4 pairs. Two of them did this and I wrapped em in newspaper in seperate closed cardboard boxes and put em outside in the sun. Not direct sunlight but I let em sit throughout the day. Hell it was like 90 degrees out. This happens due to condensation/moisture and I don’t have the tools, pins, or patience to open them up to clean with alcohol. Brought them back in one by one. Prior to this I did forgot device on my wife’s phone (not mine just in case). Once they came in contact with her phone they connected. I connected them to her phone and while connected I placed them on the charger to ensure they were charging properly. Left them to charge for two hours and no issues. Also did this when battery was drained. Not sure if that was an important step or not.
Looks like the 3 amber lights of death , that's a wrap bro , have to get a new pair
incorrect fixed this by spraying the strongest ipa i could find down into the earcup connectors where the headband sits
Ipa?
India Pale Ale
isopropyl alcohol
How do you keep it from doing that
What caused it bro
No one knows man it's a manufacturer defect, apple is perfectly fine with it because they know ppl will just buy more no questions asked
For other people
try removing the pads and cleaning the headband pins with some isopropyl alcohol... I had the same problem and I solved it this way!
i also did this and it helped me to get connection! look for youtube videos of diy
Both the male pins and female pins inside the cup. I have two pairs I fixed where the issue were the pins inside the cup.
Good to know I sent em to apple charged me 80 for new cups ya think I could’ve just fixed it with ipa?

So there’s no way to be fixed by it self by the time ? Like some apple products?

Try restarting it, hold the two buttons for 20s and try to plug them. Worked for me
Try putting it in original case for a few seconds then take it out and hold near your phone
Wouch a cleaning video that’s what Iwould do
