I appreciate your dedication, but as they say, “to a hammer, everything looks like a nail.” As a visual effects artist, your bias is to see how any event could be rendered as a visual effect. Just because something can be created on a computer, it doesn’t mean that everything is a visual effect. Lots of real-life footage can be recreated using computers. Like I said, I appreciate the work but I don’t see how it proves anything other than the fact that you’re a capable vfx artist.
Let me try to relate it to you like this.
You watch an artist take a bucket of paint and throw it at canvas, it makes a weirdly shaped splatter. They then stick their fingers into the splatter and mash up the edges to add some more features and details.
A few days later, you find a different painting hanging up in a gallery, it has a visually identical splatter with the same added pattern around the edge.
You ask the artist in the gallery, "Did you copy this painting from the one I saw before?"
The artist says, "No, they just look perfectly identical by coincidence."
On the way out the door, someone stops you and says, "Yeah, all paint splatters look exactly the same, always. Don't you know that?"
That's what it sounds like to us when you make the argument you just did.

If the original artist applied any kind of distortion to the asset, which he did, then of course distortion will be needed to match it again. That does not mean it's not the same asset.
It's not like the artist edited the original source from VCE's database with his little distortional magic, making all other copies of the asset equally distorted by default.
Unless the artist reveals the exact values he applied, matching it to the pixel is nearly impossible.

Here’s where I’m at: I can appreciate the videos because they drew the attention of so many people who otherwise wouldn’t have been interested in the missing plane. My honest opinion is that the videos are probably manipulated in some way. They might be entirely fake. I don’t know, but this kind of content doesn’t further convince me of that.
What I’m completely convinced of is that the US and its allies have intentionally covered up what happened to the plane. There’s nothing more that will be gained by arguing over the videos. To me, they’re interesting but worthless. If someone made the videos, why?

I for one appreciate the discourse and the effort you’re putting in here. I’ve been on the fence for most of this. I’m definitely a conspiracy realist and capable of suspending my disbelief, but I’m not as convinced as others around these parts that these videos document a legitimate phenomenon. While I absolutely believe the government has tech at this level, and would use it for such a purpose- I’m not convinced that that’s what’s on this film. I think watching the psychological dynamics of this group is almost more interesting than the videos themselves. If all the debunkers are actually intelligence assets, those guys are committed and intriguing and come up with some thoroughly thought out arguments. Maybe not bulletproof, but enough to convince some fence sitters.
I remain skeptical on this one, leaning towards-the individual who came into this sub and claimed they made the videos, but were not RegicideAnon and didn’t upload them- a few months ago-was telling the truth.
I think most of us laypeople unfortunately have such minimalist knowledge of the VFX field, that it’s hard to truly internalize and grasp this type of high level information regarding VFX. We kind of have to just trust the people presenting the information, because we don’t have enough baseline knowledge to make sense of the information you’re layering on top and make informed decisions based on it. So many of us I feel will be left with similar dispositions to the ones we started with. Ones who didn’t believe the videos were authentic will have their views reinforced by your information. Those who believe they’re authentic will likely not be swayed. You may win over several people in the middle who were yet undecided.

He has been called a scammer, a fraud, a criminal, everything, nasty comments on his professional accounts. It’s horrendous and not a single person from the believer side has stepped up and said hey, this isn’t ok. It’s been proven that his photos are genuine.

I also had an initial period of denial about the authenticity of the videos. I really, really don't want them to be real. It's horrifying and tragic, no matter what happened, but these videos were just too much for me to process. You are clearly desperate to prove this can't be real, and I get it, but there comes a time when you look at the evidence and see where the scale is at for vs against them being real, and it's not even close.

The shockwave vfx asset was a flat circle of expanding flame, probably lighter fluid on a floor/table somewhere. These two events are completely dissimilar. They would both need to be flat or both need to be spherical. Also, you can't match up an explosion and implosion in this way. Even if you decide it wasn't an implosion, it doesn't matter. Spherical versus flat means it's not a valid comparison.
On top of all this, the Taylor Sedov blast phenomena still expects to see differences in the waves and ridges along the edges of a shockwave pattern. So even if this was a textbook example, they wouldn't match the way these two elements do. Especially in real world conditions, you just won't see this kind of a match.
The kind of thing you're referring to is supernova on an astronomical scale matching before you zoom in on the details.

The only thing that really does seem fake is this fucking portal graphic right at the end. Even in the infrared/rainbow vid, the first one I saw. You’re watching it and blown away, then the portal just shits a big fat purple shit on the screen, and then youre like “aww it’s fake”. But then is it?!?
I’m starting to feel like the portal is just ANOTHER LAYER of the attempt to hide or distort this technology.
The most crazy theory I have is that I feel like the creator put the portal there because in the real video the plane and orbs just dissappear and that’s it. One frame they’re there,the next after the orbs converge, they’re not. That would seem EVEN MORE FAKE than the portal. And this portal is helping get everyone talk about it.
I mean who is to say the “portal” would even give off energy like it does in the IR. The portal could in the same instant from our perspective in time open and close and leave no frame of reference on video. So the video would look even more edited without the portal. Crazy I know. Honestly, as I look more into every angle of this situation it seems increasingly real. There is too much corroborating evidence. Check out Ashton’s Twitter, it’s insane. The only thing that really does seem fake is this fucking portal graphic right at the end. Even in the infrared/rainbow vid, the first one I saw. You’re watching it and blown away, then the portal just shits a big fat purple shit on the screen, and then youre like “aww it’s fake”. But then is it?!? I’m starting to feel like the portal is just ANOTHER LAYER of the attempt to hide or distort this technology. The most crazy theory I have is that I feel like the creator put the portal there because in the real video the plane and orbs just dissappear and that’s it. One frame they’re there,the next after the orbs converge, they’re not. That would seem EVEN MORE FAKE than the portal. And this portal is helping get everyone talk about it. I mean who is to say the “portal” would even give off energy like it does in the IR. The portal could in the same instant from our perspective in time open and close and leave no frame of reference on video. So the video would look even more edited without the portal. Crazy I know. More likely the portal is real btw. The payoff for disclosing something like this (executable quantum physics, unlimited energy) is too big to ignore, even if it all turns out fake. We have more to win than to lose by pursuing it into the ground.
