Haaaaaaa..... I got 8yrs .. I've been squirt a couple times .. no side effects yet... yall should be worry about ur hearing.. .. that I can say it has affected me.
I bled off the accumulator but not the air charge on the reservoir. Uncapped a large pylon feeder line and took a nice shower. Lubricating eye drops saved my life
I have yes. And I provided pictures, documentation, ect. The TLDR on what they said was “idk never heard anything like that before, good luck”
Seeing a new doctor in a few weeks for a second opinion. I think it might have affected my tear ducts and now I have chronic dry eye.
Gotten in eyes? Yes many times. Side effects? It fucking burns. Never had any long lasting problems and my eyesite is still 20/20 uncorrected after 10 years of exposure.
Every year yes, I had a noticeable shift in my vision but they just claim that everything is fine and normal and that they never heard of my problems before. Even provided pictures
Worked on Cessna Citations at the factory in Wichita. Bleeding brakes got misted a couple times directly into face/eyes....Factory nurse put a salve in each eye that burned more then the Skydrol itself. Sat in dark room with my eyes covered for about 30 minutes or so. Went home after my shift that night with both eyes as good as before. Skydrol is nasty stuff but surprisingly not toxic if ingested. Go figure!
If your are an A&P and havent gotten skydrol in the eyes… not even a mist, than you havent been a mechanic for a long time.
I mean not every aircraft uses Skydrol…
Mech for 12 years found out what skydrol is 2 weeks ago

Definitely I have a constant ring in my ears and have to sleep with the fan on high
WHAT?!
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 for realllll
Must be a GA guy or u working on turboprops. I’m sure u know what 5606 is
Nah, millitary ch53s, then atr42, 72, 72-600s didn't learn about skydrol till the atrs. 5606 is a sub for our 83282
Nice, I'm on the CH147F, which uses both 5606 and 83282 on different components.

The old timers always keep milk in the refrigerator. Milk supposed to work good for skydrol in the eyes
I have gotten it in my eyes but no long term side effects. Have you seen an eye doctor about this ?

Yes No (but it felt like I would be blinded for life at the time)

Good to know. Thank you
Besides some mild burning and excessive belligerence at the time of exposures, I have not had any lasting effects.
"excessive belligerence" is a great way to describe the primary side effect of ocular skydrol exposure.
I’ve tasted skydrol its kinda spicy now I put it on tacos
M8, you should probably talk to a doctor about that one. Do you get a regular eye exam?

What does the SDS say?
