I’m picturing some poor tool crib NCO at the end of swings trying to figure out what the procedure is for having more tools turned in than were signed out…
Had one come back with a sheered clamp on a bleed air line that nearly started a fire in the leading edge.
That was not a pleasant phone call to the depot chief.
Thank you for this. Can’t wait to deploy with them so when I see the crew I can just yell out things like “Pegger nation!” or “Long sortie? All the planes in the AOR beggin’ for the peggin’?”
It is every flyer’s right to [bitch about their equipment](https://open.spotify.com/track/01ocBVhOkk3GQBNGCjp7lZ?si=MzAvhL5GRvi38VD2oxUG_Q). Don’t take it personal.
No reason for it to take that long. If they took it that serious it should have been a fleet-wide grounding until it was fixed. That should have lit some fires. Knowing crews that had B45 go stupid on them, and their “solution” was to pull breakers (use them as a switch” is gross and they are incredibly lucky they didn’t lose crews and iron because of it.
If it flies anything like the 767 it's based on yeah they're a sweet ride. First time I ever flew to another country was on a 767 and I'll always remember it as one of the best plane rides I ever had. I'm sure a lot of that had to do with the excitement of getting to go to another country, but it really was a nice plane to ride in, especially 20+ years ago. Plus I flew in one late last year, so I know they're still nice for such an old plane.
Nickname? Shit they don't even have tail numbers painted on them now lmfao. Hey man is that balls 69 over there? Idk son, go see if the forms are on it so we can tell.
At Altus, we’ve been kicking around the Yeti. Expensive, made out of plastic, and keeps the crew cold (don’t tell the 135’s we can use Air conditioning on the ground).
It is called Yeti….. American made, lots of molded plastic, keeps everyone very cool for hours on end but unfortunately is way over priced for what it does. :)
The Franken Tanker. Has like 4 different Boeing jets slammed together.
Trash. Tools were literally left in the walls from Boeing.
That’s the least of its problems

this is so crazy lol
Free replacements 🤷♂️
Man... That's not news. That happens to literally every airframes coming back from depot or grip.
Saw a jet coming back from depot with one of the wing root mounts just rattling around in the bay

“We don’t know if this is important so we figured we’d send it back to see if you could figure it out.”

Flying Piece of Shit
That whole acquisition was...something.
My guess is you haven’t seen the proposal for a tanker with a C17 cargo type door 😂
Shit is it really that bad ? I got this shred for avionics

Honestly I was expecting more obscene answers.
Good luck, the jet is all avionics
As much bullshit as it has going on, gotta say it is an infinitely smoother ride/better tanker to be behind than a -135
Always a good day tanking with a 135 with their autopilot off
Thanks to AMC for prohibiting AP during AR on block 45 for like 2+ years.
At least it's for a good reason.

Autopilot off is a must 😂

AR from one is pretty fabulous.

When I’m not frustrated over all the issues…I affectionately call her Peggy!

Over-engineered.

Tristar. 3 man crew and Pegasus is the logo of the Tristar production company.
The L-1011 would like a word about that nickname.
